Review 1：The location might be a bit unattractive but for one night it's fine.

Review 2：We arrived very late but stuff was very kind and even diner s was possible at 10 pm. The air-conditioned rooms were very clean and modern. Very close to the airport.

Although manager very apologetic, for a room costing $40 not really acceptable. Breakfast not offered. Food stall adjacent does great roti but if you're new to Sri Lanka, I think an international offering would be welcone. Even if just toast, jam and juice included. We were starving!!

Review 9：The window in the room opens internally on to the main reception and dining area so you have to keep the curtains closed. However, we arrived late and left early so it didn't bother us at all. However, it would be an issue in terms of noise and privacy were you to be there during the daytime.

Review 14：Handy for the airport, rooms comfortable enough. A little more rough and ready than we were expecting but in retrospect this is reflected in the price. As good as anything in the locality and more than adequate for anyone with an early flight. Owner sorted us out with a taxi to airport.

Review 16：This hotel is a very short distance from Bandaranaike Airport. It is basically a transit hotel and has no pretensions to be otherwise. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and exactly as represented on Booking.com. The owners are lovely people, friendly and very helpful, although their English is basic, so if English is all you speak and you ask for something, you need to be very clear and double check to avoid misunderstanding. The husband speaks fluent Japanese if you have that as a language option. They helped us to get a driver to Unawatuna for the following morning at a good rate. The driver was excellent.

Review 19：I couldn't pay with credit card, the machine was apparently broken. The sound isolation was not good, i could hear people from reception or other rooms, but at night it's very quiet so don't worry. The location on booking.com and GoogleMaps is wrong as of December 2015. I have reported it to GoogleMaps, I hope they will rectify it soon. In reality it's just after Hotel Empyrean. Even though it's a 15-20 min walk, avoid going there on foot. U're beside the road with no real footpath, so it's not friendly (especially for luggage with wheels). Just take a tuktuk, it should be around 150 rupias.

Review 20：Sri Lanka is full of mosquitoes and here I really appreciated that there is for once none of them inside the room thanks to a provided mosquito repellent electric plug-in. Room is cozy and of decent size. Bathroom is nice. Wifi works fine. They give you a big bottle of water and a fruit juice bottle. They provide no soap but a good quality shampoo instead. I usually don't like when there is no separation with shower (water everywhere), but here was ok because the floor of the shower section was slightly lower than the bathroom one. I was lucky, I got the room with a/c (I read that some other rooms have only a fan).

Review 21：We booked a triple room expecting a single bed plus a double or bigger. We ended up with a king or some large size which fit our family in but I would have slept better not worrying about the toddler rolling onto the baby.

Review 30：The "hotel" has only 3 rooms and it is quite new (6 months old) Accordingly the furniture is also new and beds are comfortable. Only 2 minutes to the airport by hotel owned tuk-tuk for 200 LKR.

The room was spacious enough, very clean and well decorated. Ac worked fine as well free wifi. Breakfast (no included in the rate) was good international style. They helped us to figure out our way from Negombo to our next destination. Recommend for a short stay to or from airport.

Review 45：We had a late night connection arriving at midnight to Colombo with our next flight leaving at 6am, we needed a place to sleep for a few hours and get a shower not too far from the airport.I called the owner prior to our arrival to verify if its ok to arrive after the usual check-in hours, the communication was smooth. The property located in 3 minutes drive by tuktuk right out of the airport (200 lkr) ,or 1km walk left from the airport. The owner waited for us as promised and greeted us at the reception. We paid in cash and had no change in lkrs only thousands, so the owner generously waved off the missing hundred or so from the bill. The room was new,clean, spacious enough, basic yet just what we needed for a short rest. The bathroom is basic, large and clean (no towels). There is no AC but there is a ceiling fan above the bed. The bed was queen size,clean sheets.There even was a complimentary water and wood apple juice.They arranged a tuktuk back to the airport at 6am. Great value for money!

Review 48：The whole family (2 adults, one teenager, and a 4yr old kid) stayed in Otha Shy for a few hours (our flight was at 5am). The owner is extremely friendly. Welcomed us in the evening and shared with us some roti and local food. Even offered us some tea to take back home. Warmly recommended.

Review 54：The doubleroom of the Otha Shy Hotel was close to the international airport. It took us only 5 minutes by tuk tuk - you even can walk (1 km). The owner was really polite and friendly. They gave us some cool drinks in the night and some tea in the morning. For 200 Rupie he took us to the airport by tuktuk. The room was small, easy but clean (bed, table, chair, air-conditioner, bathroom with shower). Thanks a lot for your host ;) See you!

Review 56：Comfortable stay. It is around 25 mins walk from the airport, just get out of the airport, go to main street and turn left, walk about 20 mins along the main road, you will see the hotel across the road. If taking tuktuk, it is Rs200. Though quite a number of mosqito, they dont bite us, luckily. Room is simple but clean, wifi connection is acceptable. Tuktuk from airport to Negembo is around 15-20 mins. easy to catch a tuktuk in the main road.

Review 63：Guests need to totally dependent on the Staff (Owner). It is not a hotel, Its only a Paying Guest Accommodation. Isolated area from the city. Hence getting food and or amenities is a nightmare. Actually the owner of the house let his 3 rooms for earning for the family.

Review 65：The hotel is very close to the airport without being noisy. The room wasvery comfortable, with a large and very nice bathroom. The only drawbackwas the absence of a/c - this was the cheaper of the 3 availablerooms (the other two do have a/c) and we picked it to save money.Still, it was very hot so I would recommend going for one of the air-conditioned ones, even if you will be staying one night only. Themanager was very helpful - willingly arranging transportation for areasonable price, exchanging some money and overall making our stay verypleasant. If you are lucky, you might even get invited to a game or twoof Carrom.

Review 85：Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay here for our little one week vacation to Sri Lanka with all the given comforts and great hospitality!! The staff was friendly as for the front desk was always available. Rooms were clean and comfortable - Hospitality and kindness by them was so welcoming that it felt like a home in another country. Because for the fact that the Hotel was just very close to the Airport and that the bus stand and Railway station was 2km in distance - traveling was easier. Not to mention my girl friend loves nature and so because of the hotel being next to around some Padi fields the air was refreshing and although the hotel was near to the city - the area was quite silent. I was totally happy with the stay because compared to other the other prices of the hotels in the same area - this was quite cheap and affordable with all the given facilities and comfort that the same other hotels were offering.
