Immersed in the Tuscan countryside, Fattoria Lavacchio is an organic farm set on a hill, 4.3 miles from Pontassieve, 12.4 miles from Florence and a 1-hour drive from Greve in Chianti. It offers a restaurant, outdoor pool, along with rustic rooms and self-catering apartments.
Traditional farming methods are used to produce wine, olive oil, flour and vegetables at Agriturismo Fattoria Lavacchio. The Mulino a Vento restaurant has a terrace overlooking the vineyards, and serves local specialities prepared from the farm's own produce.
Set in 2 separate buildings, all accommodation has simple rural furnishings and terracotta floors. Each comes with a tea/coffee maker, LCD TV and private bathroom. Apartments feature a fireplace and fully equipped kitchenette.
Cookery classes, wine tasting and pottery courses are just some of the activities offered by this agriturismo. Guests can tour the vineyards and see how wine is made.

Review 1：The price for a glass of white wine at the pool was far to high considering it was not even cold and very little in the glass as well.

Review 2：The meal at the pool on wednesday was very good.

Review 3：Wifi is free but not stable. The bottle of water is not free. There are many activities but not scheduled every day. If you have specific activity you wish to attend, better to check the schedule before you book the hotel.

Review 4：Lovely and peaceful place surrounded by beautiful scenary of vineyard and olive fields. We got upgraded to suite room and had plenty of room for just two of us. Liked the heater in the bathroom, you can hang towels so you will always have a dry towel to use. The room is very clean. A cat came to take a nap at the window by the backyard which was cute. We had winery tour and horse riding activites, both of them were excellent. Winary tour was guided with passion, including tasting 4 glasses of wine which is served with bread, cheese and proscuitto. Horse riding was beyond expectation, riding the horse by yourself and having walk in the sunset vine yard was wonderful experience. Breakfast is delicious with organic food. It had the best croissant during our stay. You will be served by Cappuccino if you ask. There's only one restaurant around, but the food is very nice. The place is close from the bus stop, we took a train when we go back to Florence but we found the local bus we took on the arrival was better as there were only a few passengers. The hotel owner passed by gave us free ride from the bus stop to the main building which was helpful. All the staffs were very nice and friendly. We really had a relaxing time and would like to come back again.

Review 5：The heat did not work for most of our stay, fortunately, the weather was not too cold. It would have been better if we had had some heat on cool evenings and mornings.

Review 6：The LOCATION was absolutely wonderful. THE COUNTRYSIDE. The apartment was nice,roomy and met our needs. The staff was excellent and very helpful. I would definitely stay again but choose either late May or early June or mid September when the weather is warmer.

Review 14：The setting of the property was stunning and very tranquil. The buildings are on various areas of the farm with the restaurant located by the self catered rooms and windmill. Beautiful pool area and well managed gardens. When locating the property, look out for the windmill on the left. The main farm building/reception is 300m further, on the same side of road.

Review 15：Beautiful property, amazing views and great food and wine. The owners genuinely care about what they do and their personal care and attention is seen throughout the property, vineyards, olive groves and most importantly in their hospitality.

Review 17：Loved virtually all of it. Faye and Dimitri were great hosts and their staff were very accommodating and helpful. Location on a Tuscan ridge was perfect. Accommodation was comfortable and well set up with all requirements. Restaurants served local food and organic wines which were well-priced and appropriate. Pottery and winery are excellent components of the experience.

Review 19：Location:Close to Florence. Amazing views of wineries and rolling hills from your window. Things are a little spaced out so you feel lots of privacy here. Wine tour is great, portion sizes were very generous. Cooking class was great, the chef was very nice and it lasted three or four hours by the time we cooked and ate. Restaurant was absolutely out of this world. Very elegant with amazing view and reasonable prices, and staff were awesome. Rooms at the Casanova were very modern and very special, lots of room, huge bathroom, A/C, big closet, and a free bottle of champagne on our arrival for our honeymoon. Pool was nice with a bar close by to get drinks.

Review 20：The apartements are rather dark because of the old stone architecture. This can be romantic - or a bit depressing if the wheather is cold and rainy...

Review 21：We had a great stay at the Agriturismo Fattoria Lavacchio. The landscape is absolutely beautiful and Florence can be reached very easily and fast by train. The breakfast is great - a huge variety of hearty and sweet goods, home made marmelade and different juices. The staff is very friendly and super helpful.
