Reviews for Hotel Mochiks
Review 1:Couldn't reach the toilet paper dispenser form the toilet (!!!) No plugs anywhere for cell phone, computer, camera, etc. (had to unplug bedside lamp to charge telephone and book) More towels please!
Review 2:The people were really nice and helpful. The location is good, central but still quiet. There is loads of hot water and the bed was extremely comfortable. There are several good restaurants within a block or so (the chifa across Ave. Balti is great). Breakfast was good (except for the blasting really awful TV, but that is Peru for you, and Mexico, Central America and southern CA). But I never, ever, want to hear about Guti, Melissa and their problems again!
Review 3:It served my purposes well and staff service friendly.
Review 4:Spacious executive suite, Jacuzzi tub, relaxing atmosphere and a place to meet the Peruvian business clientele. The service was excellent, off the main street and close to banks, and taxi services.
Review 5:Wish it had an outdoor siiting area
Review 6:Close to main square
Review 7:However, if you are a tourist do not stay here. The core business ofthis hotel is corporate. Its regular customer base is composed ofPeruvian business people. Frankly, the general atmosphere is cold andnot friendly. While you are hanging out in the lobby with your trekkingoutfit of casual clothes, local guests and staff make you feel that youare not in the right place. That is not that kind of attitude you wantto experience when you are on vacation. Right? Furthermore, when I askedthe receptionist to help me in organizing a tour at the Chamarri, national park he informed that it was not possible... Stubbornly, Idecided to reach out a local travel agency by myself. Within 15 minutes, the travel agency car was waiting in front of the hotel to pick us up.(/10 customer service score for the receptionist who just was a lazya**) Not recommended for holidays.
Review 8:Yeah, yeah. I read the positive reviews of this property before makingthe reservation. All the positive comments about location, modernequipments, cleanliness,... Are true.
Review 9:Initial room facing the internal light-court.
Review 10:Cleanliness of the room, good/central location, helpful staff. Staff arranged to change my room to one with an external window/view. Helpful with arranging some sight-seeing tours. Food in the hotel restaurant was good, too.
Review 11:It is slightly more expennsive than some hotels who offer discounts. However,I liked all about the hotel and would gladly return.
Review 12:Excellent hotel, friendly and attentive staff, great location, very clean and well-appointed, first rate.
Review 13:Parking was a couple of blocks away, no great bother but easier when onsite
Review 14:Staff were great, design of hotel considering space available is good but room a little small (big bed though)
Review 15:The breakfast is poor, with particularly dismal coffee and no fruit. The laundry service is truly dreadful, although not cheap. Our clothes reappeared after the promised 2 days, still damp and seemingly without the detergent having been rinsed out. We needed all laundry to be rewashed at our next hotel...
Review 16:The staff are friendly and helpful, speaking good English. The rooms, although small, have everything needed, and the shower works well. Best, the sound of taxi horns was barely audible, definitely a plus in Peru.
Review 17:Noise from street at times.
Review 18:Friendliness and helpfullness of staff
