The Nidos Smilte occupies the former guesthouses of Hermann Blode, the founder of the famous Nida Artists' Colony in 1890.
The first floor of the central building houses a spacious restaurant serving Lithuanian and international cuisine. You can enjoy beautiful views of the sea through the large windows.
On warm summer days you can also dine in the outdoor cafe.

Review 1：Staff of the hotel was simply awesome! They were attentive, very hospital and genuine. It was not the first and definitely not the last time I visit this hotel.
Review 2：Very noisy hotel (absolutely tragical sound isolation), not possible to sleep. Probably not in all rooms (we had a room in old house with windows on the street side). Room had a bad smell, hygiena equipments were missing. If You want to enjoy breakfast, probably You should be first at 8.00 o'clock. We were at 9.30 a.m. and there were only some eggs,bred and corn flakes left.

Review 4：Night receptionist was unwelcoming. I arrived late after long trip, and felt treated with certain suspicion and dryness, fumbled a bit until being convinced of my booking, did not offer help to carry luggage... (day receptionist was fine, though). No internet except in the restaurant. Automatic lights in corridor/staircase don't work well. Almost tripped a couple of times trying to get to my room at night in the dark. Got a twin room despite booking a double. Next morning I asked whether a double was available, and was offered what looked like a really small double room.
Review 5：Nida is lovely. This place is a bit north of the centre, but maybe only a 10 min walk, and it's right by the lagoon promenade. So the location is very good. Day receptionist was helpful.
Review 6：Staff does not smile at all. When we arrived, there was one guy in the reception and he could not find my reservation. Then another guy came and probably because he saw my bf thought that we are both foreigners and started screaming on his colleague in Lithuanian (and as Lithuanian I understood everything) and it was very embarassing. Also the staff has been talking about one tourist loudly during the breakfast in between each other. They should avoid this. Also there is no internet in the room and it is too overpriced generally. Breakfast is served in German way so do not expect anything sweet.

Review 8：most of the staff speak no foreign english. the rooms are poorly furnished, without any comfort. location is not in the vicinity of most interesting places. there seem to be better accomodations on the spit, both in nida and in the other village.
Review 9：I have missed the better choosing for breakfast. During two day stay rooms were not cleaned.
