Reviews for Bayview Geographe Resort Busselton

Review 1:its no longer a resort, its a Budget Motel. No bars,no lunch, cafe, only Dinner and Breakfast,no Sunday Dinner?. Only 4 loungers,at the Pool side?. A lot of Cobwebbs in the Brickwork close to our room door, the resort is looking very tired, for its Age.

Review 2:not far from the Town centre. Easy parking, close to our Room. close to the Beach.

Review 3:only one tiny thing i didnt like was that the kettle was dirty but other than that everything was really nice.

Review 4:really liked this place. was lovely and quiet and perfect location. will definately go there again.

Review 5:Our first room was not completely clean and there was no curtain in the window, so consequently no privacy. But on reporting this we were moved to a lovely villa.

Review 6:Our villa was nicely appointed. The beach was really close and the grounds were well-kept, beautiful and shady. The whole complex had a really peaceful feel. a great place to rejuvenate by the ocean.

Review 7:Bathroom: No cotton buds. In addition, there was an opened tissue box in the bathroom that is full of spider web on. The private beach was okay, not too clean as there was a lot of seaweed Wifi wasn't working really well.

Review 8:Indoor Swimming Pool was amazing. Hairdryer in the bathroom. Great balcony. Great view.

Review 9:Resort room very tired and need upgrade. Gutter outside over balcony in very poor condition, lucky it didn't rain.

Review 10:The location was perfect for us, grounds were beautiful and well maintained, pools great.

Review 11:Had a bad experience dec 1914/15 spoke to them about it & were understanding & was Fine this time, The resort has so much potential but theres something lacking

Review 12:Been there many times, like the area & the resort but now needing some G L Care

Review 13:Metal stairs outside unit - kids running up & down echoed throughout room (all night). Thin walls - snoring next door very audible TV smaller than laptop monitor & remote didn't work (probably batteries but good luck getting g replacements from early shutting reception) No parking close to unit Very dated unit - not like picture on booking.com, bed like a rock Very expensive - probably worth $85 for 1/2 star room instead of $145

Review 14:Our cottage was very old. There were cobwebs all over out outdoor setting which we had to ask to be removed so we could sit outside. There was no instruction in the ensuite about the hot water which meant we had cold showers. We found the hot water instructions in the other bathroom on the last day. The linen was aged and could do with replacing.

Review 15:The place has lovely gardens and pools. It is so safe for young children. We keep returning because this place has it all. The kids ride around without supervision. There are both heated indoor and regular outdoor pools. The bouncy castle & tennis courts and of course the glorious beach right at your doorstep.

Review 16:staff at the front desk did not provide adequate information on room location. After asking then he gave me the direction map. the female staff can't even provide me with basic information like how far to get to the nearest town. Tell me to go Google myself. No house keeping for the entire 5 days stay. Find it strange that the Reception closed on Christmas Day. The only place to connect to wifi.

Review 17:walking distance to the beach. big compound for evening stroll. indoor swimming pool.

Review 18:Very old poor facilities. Room decor was years old and badly needs updating. Cobwebs and dirt on outside of buildings and in need of maintenance. For $399 a night it was overpriced and very ordinary

Review 19:Location is great

Review 20:Maybe a microwave could be added, but really all good thankyou.

Review 21:Good value for money one night stay. Room plenty of room. Lovely garden areas. Close to beach and eating areas. Lovely café not far on same road for breakfasts and meals next to supermarket. Staff very friendly and helpful. Aircon very good.

Review 22:Our resort room was dated and tired showing some exterior neglect, although tidy inside and functional. Beds require upgrade. Being seniors, dragging our luggage up the exterior staircase( no lift) was no picnic.

Review 23:Pleasing location, proximity to the beach and town as well as Margaret river region. Well kept grounds/ gardens and pool facilities. great effort from the staff at the Christmas lunch, despite some confusion and lengthy queues at the single buffet service point for 300 guests.

Review 24:Bathroom could've been cleaned more, some spiders in the corners of the room

Review 25:Right on the beach, I liked how it was easy to get to the highways to travel down to Margaret river to dunsborough areas. It was a really family friendly place and would've loved to come back here in a group or with a family. Lots of parking, could park my car right out the door of my room.

Review 26:Double bed was so tiny felt like falling off and im not even 5ft my poor hubby who is 6ft! Had a terrible night

Review 27:Stagf were lovely and facilities were good

Review 28:Can not regulate hot water and shower head is very poor. Hair dryer sparked. DVD player did not work. A Pyrex dish but it did not fit in the microwave to cook vegetables. Kitchen utensils very poorly equipped.

Review 29:Very quite, nice clean gardens. Heated pool was wonderful.

Review 30:I am disgusted in the housekeeping, we spent 5 nights there and had our room done once if you can call it that only had the towels changed once the room never vacuumed once very disappointed and will be a big factor whether to return or not

Review 31:Location, the facilites the resort had to offer it was quiet

Review 32:sheets too small for single beds, come off dont cover matttess stained carpet itchy dirty couches mouldy bathroom walls

Review 33:indoor pool was clean gardens lovely rooms big

Review 34:The room was quite unclean, our feet were black after walking around and the blankets made us itchy. A number of aspects of the room were in a little bit of disrepair. Quite a bad mattress and the couches were very uncomfortable and ripped. We paid extra to have a kitchen but the utensils and cooking equipment supplied was of poor quality and difficult to cook with/clean.

Review 35:Nice quiet part of the beach to ourselves. Complex was quiet and pretty.

Review 36:My husband helped a man from the pool ladder - he had jammed his toe - luckily my husband had a tyre lever and was able to get the gentlemans toe out. Ladder needs maintenance!!!! Cracked glass around the pool area, also should be no smoking.

Review 37:Location,close to beach, shady trees, garden nice and clean, heated pool, room good value

Review 38:Stayed in a 3 bed 2 bathroom villa - everything was first class - spa bath was an added bonus. So peaceful close to beach. Everything from booking thru booking.com to check out was smooth. Definitely recommend.

Review 39:The mattress was similar to that of an old fold out couch. Very uncomfortable. Also there was no wifi available. Not worth the amount they charged.

Review 40:Staff were friendly and the location is right on the beach.

Review 41:The accommodation is generally comfortable but needing an upgrade. The couch was a problem in the lounge which sank when you sat on it. The carpet was very badly stained in one of the rooms. Not so sure you need all the bar fridges in each room. You could save power. The swimming pools need a repaint especially the outdoor one.

Review 42:We love the location and the beautiful well kept grounds, grass lawns, trees, possums and pathways. Also the bouncy castle and the tennis courts. Food at the restaurant was good, the service efficient and friendly. The setting is magnificent.

Review 43:The sheets were not changed at all during my stay. The towels were changed once two to 3 days. But they do provide a washer and dryer - so I washed my own essentially. The unit was not very clean. Lots of dead insects around

Review 44:Had a huge cottage ... near the beach... nice wild life around

Review 45:Outdated rooms. Bed should have been burnt. Pillows were made of cardboard. Walls so thin you can hear neighbours. Shower head too low.Toaster would of been helpful. Tv should of been bigger. Hideous decor.

Review 46:Restaurant and proximity to beach

Review 47:We were told there was bottle of wine on arrival as frequent clients. It wasn't there so I called, then it still didn't turn up, then they called to say we booked through booking.com and not them the offer wasn't valid?! So are they rewarding for staying or for which website we book with! So by now we are cheesed off we chasing them for a cheap bottle of wine that they told U they were giving! Really left a sour, games room had lots of games not working though, very frustrating for kids. Could do with a playground upgrade, breakfast buffet pretty substandard, little choice and all a bit unfresh and cheap. Rip off for 15 bucks, toast and cereal and that was t really.

Review 48:Location, fairly helpful staff, playground and bouncy castle near restaurent, cycle paths, indoor pool.

Review 49:Beds not that comfortable as the join where pushed together was very prominent. Pillows where huge and not comfortable. The foldout couch was very saggy and uncomfortable to sit on.

Review 50:Great roomy family suite. Lots of lovely open space throughout the resort. Pools where nice and kids enjoyed using scooters around resort.

Review 51:External staircase with trip hazard at the foot, room looked tired and in need of refurbishment / modernization, balcony unclean and full of cobwebs, plus the fly screen was off it's runners.

Review 52:A good location with easy access and some good facilities.

Review 53:Outdoor pool wasn't well maintained - very dirty however perfect beach was steps away! Rooms a little dated - however some have started to be refreshed which look amazing!

Review 54:The location was amazing - our room had everything we needed except an oven would have been nice!

Review 55:On entering the villa there was an unpleasant odor. This dispelled aftera while when windows where opened and the fan turned on. Day two of ourstay in the evening there was no hot water. By the next morning no waterat all. With two elderly parents, four adults in total, this was not agood situation. Staff could only send us to another villa to shower. Thewater issue was remedied much later in the day but not the hot waterissue. We had to endure another day of having to go to another villa fora shower. We left the following day. I understand there was a majorissue with gas etc. Not sure how that should become my problem. Nocompensation offered. Not a free drink or dinner, nothing. The roomitself was dated and even the curtains did not match in the living area.Facilities where very dated. Pretty sure a rating of 3.3 is not a pass.

Review 56:We liked the studio villa we stayed in, but felt it was in need of an upgrade it was very tired.

Review 57:Location is very good right on the beach. Restaurant was great, very well priced. Room was very beautifully clean, so was the linen & towels.

Review 58:Minor matter, no requested newspaper at our door - no replacement offered.

Review 59:Cleanliness, wall clock in the unit, clothes pegs behind the door in bathroom and heated lights in bathroom.

Review 60:The service was poor units are not serviced daily and there was therefore a shortage of toilet paper we nearly ran out even though I had asked for extra roll. The single bed was not made up properly the sheet only reached 3/4 down the bed leaving lower half of mattress exposed I had to ask three times before this was rectified. The pool was lovely but tiles around the edge could have done with a scrub. The mini golf was not really mini golf but a series of holes nowhere marked to tee off no score sheets supplied. We didn't eat in restaurant as it seemed overpriced and the fact that it was empty most of time was evidence of this and $20 for breakfast was ridiculous. This resort has potential to be excellent the grounds an location are wonderful but it has become rundown and tired service is not good and such a shame a little effort and it would be great!!

Review 61:Grounds and location

Review 62:What you see on the website isn't always what you get. Our "studio" turned out to be a motel-style, musty-smelling room with a not too clean bathroom. We moved on day 2 to a 2-bed villa which was marginally better, at least we could prepare a meal.

Review 63:The grounds were well-maintained and the location to town and other regions is good - but it is definitely budget accommodation which is not what it appears when you book online!

Review 64:Shower head needs repair--too much water leaking at wall--reported. Shower needs de-moulding please--reported.

Review 65:Location is excellent, Beautiful surrounds--trees, gardens. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was good--however my poached eggs were too 'hard boiled' !!!!

Review 66:Was there for four nights resort room me and and my husband didn't sleep first night as bed is big enough for a child and uncomfortable and room horrible ask for upgrade which we got 12pm next day moved all stuff to room to sleep till next day as sleep deprived from night before so there's 2 nights of our four night holiday wasted had injured ducks swimming in outside pool which you wouldn't swim in for duck poo everywhere huge field mice running around patio while your trying to relax on patio our first real night there. Compared to our experience from a few years ago to recent the place has been let go it's need a make over we were very dissppionted

Review 67:Front counter staff

Review 68:Had a standard room. On arrival the sheets were stained, housekeeping promptly changed them. The room was quite noisy, could hear the a/c from next door and i think above had a spa which would explain the noise. As a solo traveller i did not feel safe in the standard room. Have stayed previously in a bungalow and would do so again, would avoid the standard rooms.

Review 69:The location and proximity to beach was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Whilst i did not eat at the restaurant I had coffee and drinks and staff were great.

Review 70:Ants in rooms, lamp shades OHS issue as base didn't fit light fitting and in children room....not smart Smell on entrance musty and unaired

Review 71:Setting was great. Facilities great offering but in dated condition. Villas excellent size and roomy for 4.

Review 72:The room was very outdated and the bedding was uncomfortable. One bed was actually sunken and not suitable for sleeping in. The carpet was filthy. Our feet became very dirty from walking barefooted on the carpet.

Review 73:The room was jaded. There were cheaper similar accommodation options in Busselton but the location of the resort helped us make a decision.

Review 74:The location of the resort was great

Review 75:It's a bit far from the town and facilities. Had to drive about 10km for anything. This resort is not suitable for anyone who is not driving.

Review 76:The resort is self contained with very well equipped cottages. Ideal for a very relaxing family holiday. Well located to explore the Cape Naturaliste, the caves and the vines.

Review 77:lack of warming food facility's like microwave or small cook-top, fridge too small,

Review 78:nice bbq area, excess to the beach, close location to the small shopping and Busselton Town

Review 79:The shower, toilet, laundry room had a bad drain smell and the shower had some mold in the grout.

Review 80:The fact our room, cottage was separate and stand alone so no neighbor noise

Review 81:that the wifi was limited to certain areas and not over the whole property so you could access it in your room

Review 82:Closeness to town centre and the beach also indoor pool fantastic

Review 83:Staying four nights would be nice for a clean of the room once at least

Review 84:Location is woderful. Grounds at resort well kept and extremly pleasant. Comfy beds.

Review 85:Check in was late due to cleaners not finished not that it looked like they had cleaned. The pillows (where you put your face) were disgusting as also the pillow protectors. What is the point of having clean crisp white sheets if the underneath is absolutely disgustingly dirty. The fridge itself was clean inside but the seal was full of mould (mould makes people sick). The cooker top around the knobs was full off grease, nothing that a grease buster spray and wipe and a toothbrush wouldn't solve in ten minutes. Cobwebs and spiders under the cupboards (kick board) nothing than a upturned brush wouldn't solve, which I did. Cobwebs on the lights and above the shower also mould in the shower. Cleaning is a hard job and they have limited time but when running a holiday park cleanliness is a must. The out door pool was not fit for a dog to swim in. I could go on but will not.

Review 86:The staff were very friendly and location was great. Having an indoor pool was also great

Review 87:Very good location to see most of the sights in Margaret River. The on site restaurant is great value and food excellent, although there some good eating places in Busselton. Very clean!

Review 88:We don't like the fact that the check in time is as late as 3pm.

Review 89:We love that we are located on the beach, have access to both an outdoor pool and indoor indoor heated pool. There are BBQ facilities as well as the convenience of a restaurant located on site! All great!

Review 90:Poor quality rooms. Very noisy. Able to hear people in adjoining room easily.

Review 91:Circumstances for our trip - a sudden death in the family - meant we were not aware of surroundings.

Review 92:The place needs a bit of a facelift, but it's still a great place to stay

Review 93:Proximity to beach, Busselton, Dunsborough and Margaret River Wine Region

Review 94:None

Review 95:We liked the location of the resort which was easy to get to the beach. Loved the view we had into the gardens, and the indoor swimming pool. A beautiful setting.

Review 96:There were a few maintenance issues that needed attention. I advised the administration on departure. Mainly the hot water system was inconsistent with the water flow and that is hazardous for anyone showering but particularly hazardous if you have to shower with small children. Also the play equipment was not fully available because we were outside the summer season - ie no jumping castle available for our 2 and 3 year old kiddies

Review 97:The size of the unit was perfectly fine for a 2 bedroom unit

Review 98:Entire property was very tired and in need of a good makeover. Our room look like it had not been updated since the '80s.

Review 99:Good location near the beach.

Review 100:We were very disappointed by the worn out bedding in our room.. ie Pillows, pillow protectors, doona and mattress protector were all very shabby. Pillows were very stained and protectors on the pillows were literally worn out with the filling of the covers showing through. The rest of the resort apart from being in need of a good paint was great.

Review 101:Loved being close to the beach.

Review 102:The only thing i can think of was the TV was too small in the room. I only stayed 3 nights . I would love to stay again

Review 103:I had a wonderful time staying here. First location was fantastic! Beach at your doorstep Cycle way to walk or ride a bike with fantastic beach views. Food outlet just around the corner Not many people about the resort (be different in peak season) Room was comfortable (suited my needs) I like the location of my room

Review 104:Nothing really. Earlier standard check in would be great especially if you have to check out by 10am. However as this can be requested that helps make the most of the stay.

Review 105:There wasn't much we didn't like. We came back and even got the same room, as we will regularly now, because we loved our January 2015 stay. Perhaps some playground equipment by the outdoor pool would go down well but honestly can't really find fault. Great location. Just close enough yet far enough out of town centre.

Review 106:Slightly dodgy power in room. Very noisy fan in bathroom. But musty smelling.

Review 107:This place is one of the few along the strip that haven't had rooms renovated in many years and it is priced accordingly. It is great value for money and the grounds are beautifully maintained. Great tennis courts, two pools, lovely lawned areas, and all right on Geographe bay. If you don't mind staying in 90s decor rooms and villas you will find this place excellent value compared to others in the area.

Review 108:Chalets are needing a makeover they are looking a bit tired.

Review 109:Lovely grassed area plenty of shade & space for families with bikes. Quiet & had a relaxing holiday feel

Review 110:The entire environment was wonderful & facilities are great. restaurant served fantastic meals. Rooms were spacious and well cleaned. loved the close proximity to the beach and the gated access in & out of the beach access

Review 111:dodgy hot water in shower - even when following their "how to" guide. decor is looking a tad tired.

Review 112:restaurant was good. facilities were also good.

Review 113:There was no sink to fill drink bottle clean dishes except the basin in the bathroom or microwave to heat something up

Review 114:Plenty of room and I wasn't there during the day so it suited me to back and relax for the next say

Review 115:A pair of womens underwear left under the bed. Bathroom door sliding and no lock - cheap feel. Entrance hallway smelt bad/stale.

Review 116:Located directly by the beach. Suited us for this trip.

Review 117:The resort rooms are close to the heated pool and very noisy when kids are playing. Unfortunately we had trouble with the TV reception and had to play around with the aerial for ages to get one channel.

Review 118:The self contained chalets are nestled amongst the tree and close to the beach. Very peaceful and relaxing.

Review 119:Rooms smelt musty. No fresh towels. Spiders in the room (corners)

Review 120:Value for money during school holidays. Pool (heated) was great kids swam for hours. Walked out the back gate to beach. Good location to town.

Review 121:THE FILTHY BATHROOM BELOW ACCEPTABLE STANDARD. RESTAURANT UNDER COOKED FOOD POOR RESPONSE FROM STAFF

Review 122:LOCATION CLOSE TO TOWN CENTRE GOOD WALKING AND CYCLE PATH

Review 123:For an isolated location there should be a microwave in the room so you can prepare food or an onsite cafe or some facility instead of having to rely on the restaurant to open for dinner it was a hassle having to get into the car and drive to the shops for food

Review 124:Quiet location set in beautifully maintained grounds large room DVDs for hire. Coffee and tea making facilities table and chairs provided a range of outdoor facilities for an active family

Review 125:Staying here this time was very disappointed. Had taken my elderly parents away and did not think the unit was very good. Badly in need of renovations and a very big clean outside. TV needs to be looked at as well.

Review 126:I stayed here before in an executive villa with friends and would rate it very well.

Review 127:The beds were uncomfortable and the décor a bit dated but still neat and tidy

Review 128:The facilities were fantastic, tennis, restaurant, mini golf, kids club, indoor heated pool.

Review 129:not a bad experience but the refrigerator was freezing everything up suggest that the thermostat needs fixing

Review 130:very peaceful and quiet and would come back again

Review 131:I was happy with everything.

Review 132:location and the way each villa is situated (ie patio not facing another). great stay. I choose the Bayview every time I go to Busselton - usually twice a year.

Review 133:Cobnets outside the villa, windows n flies net dirty General poor maintenance of the amenities (heated pool n villa) Really old style furnitures

Review 134:Villa located at 200 mt from the ocean Heated pool

Review 135:The kitchen cooking utensils are old, knives were blunt, the kettle was rusty. Time to refurbished the things inside the house. Also to clean up some bush outside the house. A lot of mosquito at evening time.

Review 136:The location of hotel is good.

Review 137:The hotel room would definitively need a good refurbishment, they are old and run down.

Review 138:Big room in a quiet environment. Please advise the hotel if you arrive after office hours (19h00) so you can retrieve your keys from safe deposit box.

Review 139:The Bed was way too soft. It was impossible to sit on at all as you sank almost to the floor. The taps in the sink and shower both dripped all the time. This was reported to management. After booking the fact that it was budget accommodation was shown. But not prior to booking. The rooms are circa 1950 and badly need renovating.

Review 140:The Grand old Resort is showings its age and is in need of some TLC Foxtel has also be with drawn and is no longer available

Review 141:Avery quiet place to stay

Review 142:Your hotel is VERY outdated, your facilities are old and need renovations. Its very disappointing to walk into an old stuffy room, had big black spiders on the roof too. Won't be in a rush to come back.

Review 143:The only decent thing that was a plus was the location
