Review 1：Lovely Host, great location, clean, quiet, and very well equipped. liked the personal touch ie; little Christmas decoration in the room and host gave out chocolates on departure which the kids loved!
Review 2：The owner was so friendly and polite. She knocked on our door to make sure our screaming baby was ok, which I thought was really caring. As we were leaving, she gave us a very friendly farewell. Thank you so much.

Review 7：Very friendly helpful staff, in fact out hostess was delightful. A quiet soothing site. We stayed at Christmas and had alittle tree in he apartment plus a personal Christmas card. . She thanked us for choosing to spend our Christmas with them. Beach was a short walk away and provided a lovely Christmas Day swim. A lovely stay altogether.

Review 9：Although now a little dated in its design and 'finish' our unit was very clean and quiet. The Motel suited our needs perfectly. It is handy to the beach a childrens' play area, local eateries and small village shops. Our hostess was very friendly, helpful and considerate. She made us feel very welcome with homely touches e.g. daily biscuits and the provision of small Christmas decorations to mark the season. We would stay again.
Review 10：Left items in frig by mistake and returned within 30 minutes to discover items had been removed and disposed of, including a full bottle of wine!! Language and cultural misunderstandings made this impossible to resolve.

Review 12：Liked the proprietors and all the little special bits eg chocolates, apple. nice contents in the room, eg nice rug over the couch. felt trouble had been taken to make place nice. only thing could be up graded is maybe the cooking facility but even that was suitable.

Review 15：Parking our car in the allocated slot was tricky, but when we parked near the office, we were told that was fine. The manager apologised for the awkwardness of the allocated spot. Would have been fine with a small car.
Review 16：We had a very quiet compact studio unit which was perfect for our one night stay. Lovely bed linen. We will definitely stay again, and recommend to friends and family. The staff were so warm and welcoming and very anxious to please.

Review 18：We had had a long trip from Nelson and arrived quite early evening. The hostess welcomed us and showed us to our accommodation. The room was warm and we were encouraged to keep the warm room and cozy.
Review 19：Having to park right outside someone else's unit door. Parks are numbered for each unit - but are they not outside the matching unit. I had requested a park outside my unit when booking and no reply made that that was not possible. Bathroom linen quite tired.

Review 21：pleasant staff and exceptionally clean / fresh and aired room. There appears to be little insulation so rather a cold night of 3 degrees . There was a heater with fan but maybe an oil heater would be better at this end of the building as retains heat longer . Heavier curtains above the bed may also help . Great place for a summer stay . Bonus was being able to see the World Cup Rugby

Review 24：The host was super friendly and obliging. Even brought a lemon and some honey to our unit so I could make a lemon drink to relieve the cough I had. Had heater going in unit when we arrived as it was bitterly cold at the time. Very thoughtful!

Review 26：Mel was very friendly and very helpful. Picked us up and returned us to the airport and took us to the train station. Unit was clean and very quiet. Handy to the beach and restaurants, dairy, x. Would highly recommend. Local trains to Wellington very good and buses in Wellington great.
Review 27：I have stayed at this motel 3 times, visiting family who live locally, always in difficult circumstances involving illness and death. Mel has been supportive and caring, made sure that my rather unusual comings and goings have been accommodated, and given practical help like leaving heaters on and providing simple things that made me feel welcomed.
Review 28：The owner/operator was incredibly helpful and very nice. She was a big part of why we enjoyed our time there. The location is close to the beach and to town, so you can leave your car parked and enjoy the walk.

Review 31：The motel catered to my needs when I requested a one bedroomed apartment due to travelling with my son. Motel responded quickly when request was confirmed. Warm and friendly staff who were so polite and motel extremely clean with new appliances and furnishings to top it off. I stay away with my work every week in Motels and for the price and location it was more than what I expected.
Review 32：The lady is very nice and takes care of her guests extremely well - we all got hot cross buns on Easter Sunday and because we didn't have a car, she dropped us off at the train station when we checked out. The motel is in a quiet location close to the beach. Our room was super clean and tidy, and the bed was very comfortable.

Review 47：They had two single beds in the bedroom and a king size bed in the living area. We wanted to sleep in the bedroom as it was darker in the morning, so we pushed the two single beds together in the bedroom. They were too short for my husband so he didn't sleep very well.

Review 59：We didn't expect our spa bath to be in the same room as the kitchen and beds - it was lovely and we enjoyed the clever spacious layout of everything. We asked for a quiet room and it was. We were greeted politely and in a friendly way, and likewise when we left. Really nice to be a 5 min walk to the beach and shops.
