Reviews for JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Fukuoka

Review 1:Some staff a little inexperienced, took a while to figure out whether we checked in already or just arrived. We had lots to carry but didn't offer to help.

Review 2:Very close to the Hakata station. Good room, comfortable bed.

Review 3:Very boring breakfast which was the same everyday. Would not have breakfast in hotel next time as lots of good restaurants around!

Review 4:Extremely central location

Review 5:Should have better directional signage to the hotel location. The twin room only available one per floor.

Review 6:The provisions of toiletries & cleanliness of the room

Review 7:I went with my family, we always walked to each other room. If the hotel has connected room available, that would make the hotel perfect.

Review 8:Very near to Hakata station

Review 9:Staff, early check-in is not only you can leave your baggage, but they move them to your room when it ready. Breakfast is very nice grilled chicken or fish in Japanese Tori style with Mentaiko. If you have discontinuous stay you also can leave your luggage here.

Review 10:Not sure if this is normal but there was no offer to help us brining all luggages to the rooms. The front desk people are very polite but I don't fee warmness from them.

Review 11:The room is very clean and huge for this type of location.

Review 12:bad smell from the shower curtain. light in the bathroom should be more brighter. things is getting old but it still clean condition.

Review 13:very close the station. easy to go around.

Review 14:breakfast

Review 15:The non-smoking room in which I stayed was very comfortable. Customer service was fast and efficient. It is really close to the Hakata train station.

Review 16:Had reception book and confirm dinner for us at a restaurant but when arrived at restaurant they were fully booked with a special function.

Review 17:Good location close to station and although rooms small and parking in a car park around corner, good value for money.

Review 18:The only bad thing is that the other Blossom hotel nearby is nicer, because it's more modern. Otherwise nothing to complain!

Review 19:The hotel is near the main station. Staff is very friendly and helpful! Rooms are very clean.

Review 20:None

Review 21:This hotel has a very good location, quite close to JR station Hakata.and there is a Lawson next to this hotel. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and they speak very good English. Rooms are small but acceptable in Japan.

Review 22:Value could be better

Review 23:Good location, literally across the road to Hakata JR station. You can also take the bus to the airport without crossing the road. Room size was decent, so was everything else

Review 24:Modern well equipped room and amenities Pleasant and efficient check-in staff Five minute walk to JR Hakarta Station / Fukuoka subway lines. Close to shopping and restaurants

Review 25:The window in the room was narrow and in the corner on one wall. This made the room feel very oppressive and I was initially very disappointed in choosing this hotel.

Review 26:The location was good for access to the station. Comfortable and quiet, considering the location. Friendly staff. Easy to use coin laundry on the 4th floor.

Review 27:There is one washer, one dryer. The dryer is really bad. I dry my cloth for 60 minutes and still were wet.

Review 28:We like the most is it's location. Close to Hakata station. Easy to take training, subway and access to many restaurants.

Review 29:if really want a perfect location, should choose the other side (west side) of Hakata station

Review 30:good location, clean and comfortable room equipped with everything needed

Review 31:It was raining at check out time. There was no covered porch to protect is when we were getting into the taxi. We were slightly drenched. So were our belongings and baggages. The least the staff could do for us was to offer us umbrella shelter to the taxi. Othewise it was a pleasant stay.

Review 32:The cleanliness.

Review 33:Breakfast has limited choice. I wish I did not choose room included breakfast. In Hakata station, there are many restaurant for breakfast.

Review 34:staff was very kind. They called places that I like to visit for me.

Review 35:This hotel is superior in every way to five others we stayed atlocated at other cities around Japan. Great location for access to theHakata station and transit system, quiet, good service, ample sizedroom for a couple, best value we saw and good price. I especiallyrecommend this for couples who like more than a closet to stay in, fora hotel room in Japan.

Review 36:Friendly staff, very convenient location. Thanks for giving us a corner room which was bigger in size. The good thing about the room was the window door which can be opened. Cool breeze had made us refreshing.

Review 37:The hotel is very new and location is just 2 mins walk from the Hakata station, extremely convenient. Room is big (as in Japan) and very clean. The staff are also very nice and helpful. Never mentioned the price, very valuable for money.

Review 38:No complains.

Review 39:Amazingly close to Hakata station, clean, grand, yet somewhat affordable. Rooms are big, bath tub not Japanese size, best of all, the staff are super nice.

Review 40:The guest need to settle the bill when check in that is rare in hotel industry except some motel or 2 stars hotel. Feeling weird but may be good for business travelers who check out without any waiting time. The car parking is comparative expensive in that area.

Review 41:Good location that close to Hakata but less busy street. A lot of restaurant behinds the hotel.

Review 42:More expensive than other places I stayed at that offered the same value.

Review 43:300 meters away from JR Hakata train station. Take Chikushiguchi exit, straight ahead. Staff speaks good English. They offered to change my reservation to a non-smoking room. My room was big enough, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was not included so I can't say anything on that regard but there is a convenience store right next door and there is plenty of cafés and restaurants in the station. From the hotel you can take the train and buses to the main attractions. Ask as the tourist information center in the station.

Review 44:The restaurant was shabby and depressing and the breakfast was not what I would have expected from a good hotel.

Review 45:Comfortable hotel close to the station.

Review 46:Not really a bad experience, but it took me a few minutes to figure out to put the hotel key in the slot by the door to turn on the room power and wifi

Review 47:Staff was friendly and were able to communicate with me even though I do not speak Japanese.

Review 48:Staff were grumpier, less friendly than usual in a Japanese hotel. Was not a language thing as one of us is Japanese...

Review 49:Is a new hotel, and everything reasonably well designed and comfortable, right in front of Hakata station.

Review 50:Nothing

Review 51:Convenient location(only a couple of minute walk to JR Shinkansen and underground stations, and to its in-station shopping complex). Only a few steps to a convenient store.

Review 52:Nothing!

Review 53:Large room with large bathroom, very clean and new hotel, perfect location just a couple of minutes walk from Hakata Station suits those arriving by both plane or train.

Review 54:Looks slightly old and tired compared to its newer sister hotel JR Blossom Hakata Chuo on the other side of Hakata station

Review 55:Conveniently close to Hakata station

Review 56:Found a couple of hairs in the bathroom that weren't cleaned properly. Housekeeping sometimes closed the door to the 'balcony' which i had open to get fresh cool air in. Also didn't like that when you turned all your lights on the bed lamps automatically came back on which you had to turn both off individually.

Review 57:Very large room! full sized bath, small wardrobe, large double bed with plenty of room either side, chair in corner, large desk, bar fridge and decent sized tv (although no english channels) Fast wifi and quiet rooms with interesting controller for the lights (if you can find it! took me 10 minutes to notice it) Lawson convenience store right outside and only 2 blocks from Hakata station, very convenient!

Review 58:Location is far from the main street and station.

Review 59:The food is fantastic! Dinner and breakfast are awesome and is beyond 5 stars hotel standard. onsen is small but cozy.

Review 60:Located within a 3 min walk from the train station, which is where eating areas and the shopping area is located. Convenience store right next to the hotel, and the bus stop to the international airport was just a 2 min walk away.

Review 61:The restaurant in the basement - we took the lift down, but found ourselves in what look like service corridors.

Review 62:Room size was good for Japan, it was modern and very clean and less than 5 minutes walk from the main station Staff quickly sorted out a minor issue with Wi-fi connection which was reasonably fast We would stay there again

Review 63:no supermarkets nearby

Review 64:The location is excellent; for business trip, you can reach Hakka station with 5-minutes' walk; for family trip, in addition to Hakka station nearby, you can access the tourist information service that can virtually solve all your traveling questions on Kyushu.

Review 65:The bed was too hard for us to sleep on. Didn't get a good rest at night. Pillows were too hard also, but they were able to give us softer ones after the first night.

Review 66:Some staff members don't speak English that good, and the breakfast is mostly Japanese food.

Review 67:Close to the airport, less than 15 minutes by taxi, close to Hakata station, an arrea with lots of bars, restaurants, etc. Very nice hotel with a clean and comfortable room. Wifi also very good. Very good price/quality.

Review 68:Collecting payment upfront at check in. But I guess they prob had bad experiences with some customers.

Review 69:Traveled with my mother and she said this was the best hotel after Sheraton (at Mizayaki) that we had stayed for our trip around Kyushu. The room was a good size, enough space for the luggage and still have space to walk. Everything looks new and clean. Queen bed was comfortable and you don't feel the other person turning. It's close to Hakata Station, so makes traveling quite convenient especially catching early morning trains. The best humidifier I'd seen on my trip which really help to reduce dry throats in the morning. The staff were really helpful and I was able to leave food in their fridge. Good value for the quality of the hotel. I would definitely stay there again if I go back to Fukuoka.

Review 70:Loved the good location, just a quick walk from the JR Hakata station (Chikushi Exit) with many amenities nearby. The room was clean and equipped with the basic necessities. We tried their breakfast service and it was delicious with free flow of rice and side dishes. Will definitely stay at the hotel again if in Fukuoka.

Review 71:Bathroom a little tired Rooms not as big as sister JR Blssom hotel on the other side of the station

Review 72:Within 5 minutes of the station Quiet inspite of this Drip coffee in rooms fabulous

Review 73:nothing i could think of.

Review 74:Nicely styled hotel and room. Bed was very comfortable. Close to central train station and all the food...shopping and sightseeing. Value for money for sure!

Review 75:Just a minor thing. We wanted to weigh our baggage before leaving, but the Reception can only provide a small pound. The hotel better equips with a proper weighing scale.

Review 76:The hotel room is clean, quiet, and well equipped, making you feel very comfortable. Overall speaking, it's value for money.

Review 77:This hotel is very easy to find, just take the Chikushi exit. Location is very quiet yet close to a myriad of shops & eating places at the train station. Rooms are clean & comfortable. Reception staff are helpful & speak English. Breakfast was very good value & highly recommended.

Review 78:Rooms are not very big but neither is it too small to open two luggages at the same time. Just that walking will be a little difficult

Review 79:Good comfortable beds. Breakfast is not bad.

Review 80:The rooms were beautiful, extremely clean, large by Japan standards, and the staff was very helpful. It was a short walk to major tourist locations. Breakfast was decent. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Review 81:The receptionist agreed to allow us to check out at 12 noon but our key didn't work when we went back to our room at 11:30am.

Review 82:Large bathroom Very good air-conditioner Clean and tidy

Review 83:There are no drawers in the room. I'd to put away things sometimes.

Review 84:Right next to the Hakata station, with lots of food choices. It's a mid size hotel so there is never a crowd with the reception. They even have a coin operated washer dryer.

Review 85:The staff doesn't speak too well in English. If you paid by Union Card, it would take you a long time to wait for the transaction. Moreover, remember to ask for your passport after they make a copy of it. Otherwise, you may worry about the location of your passport for a few hours. Cheaper price would be better.

Review 86:Very comfortable bed and environment. The hotel is near to the Hakata station and a Lawson is just located next to the hotel. We have a comfortable and enjoyable stay in the hotel. Wifi is stable.

Review 87:Authentic Japanese hospitality in city centre, Fukuoka, just steps fromHakata station. Front desk personnel were very helpful, theycommunicated well in English with precise information. We left ourbelonging in room when we left Fukuoka for a night for rural over-nighttrip once we got back to jr Blossom thing was well kept and returned tous properly. Both receptionists, guy and lady in the morning were sonice and attentive with positive attitude. Thank you you all.

Review 88:Staff's English ability is on the weak side- they never seemed to really understand what I'm asking and at one point to resorted to using Google Translate. Only Japanese set breakfast available at the restaurant.

Review 89:Excellent location, a stone's throw to Hakata Station, subway, bus to Fukuoka Airport & plenty of shopping. Yet being on the other side of the station means the surrounding is much more tranquil. Very clean, nice refurbished rooms. Quite big by Japanese standards!

Review 90:The duvet is way too heavy for summer. It feels really hot even though we've turn the air conditioner to 24C degrees.

Review 91:independent WIFI connection in each room, fantastic!

Review 92:I enjoyed staying on "this side" of the station, lots more to do, and eat! It was super convenient and we especially loved that Lawson's was right next door. We will definitely stay here again!!

Review 93:No ironing board in room. No drawers to place things in. Room was a little small for my 6' 3" tall boyfriend.

Review 94:The staff provided excellent service. Great location-near the Hakata Train Station. Able to store our luggage at the hotel after checkout.

Review 95:Very convenient location just a few minutes walk from Hakata Station. Plenty of shops and restaurants close by and all the "sights" are easy to get to. The bedroom and bathroom were spacious and the staff very helpful and friendly.

Review 96:Limited washer facility but not crucial if you do not need it and the sliding door instead of usual black out curtains

Review 97:Location, room spaciousness & cleanliness, service quality of staff and good value for money

Review 98:A contempory boutique hotel. It is nearby Hakata station but in a quiet street which you can enjoy a good sleep. A convenience store just outside the hotel and a lot of restaurant surrounding the hotels. You can use the subway passage next to hotel entrance to enter Hakata underground street and train/subway station.
