Reviews for JR Kyushu Hotel Blossom Hakata Central
Review 1:nothing special as per the cost
Review 2:very close to JR Hakata station, very convenience and nice restaurant nearby. room is small but clean, tidy and comfort.
Review 3:It would have been nice if I had access to an English news channel, like CNN or BBC. View was not nice.
Review 4:Great Japanese breakfast! The bar at night offered a wonderful 1800yen all you can drink wine deal. All of the hotel employees were helpful and nice. Super convenient. You can use the underground passageway from the station and Exit West 18 brings you to the building next to the hotel.
Review 5:Some staff does not really understand English well so there is difficulties when we want to ask for direction to go certain places.
Review 6:Excellent location which 3 mins away from Hakata station and Hakata Shopping Mall. Hotel room are cosy and staffs are helpful and considerate enough to arrange for me a bigger room instead of booking 2 separate rooms as I'm travelling with 2 young children.
Review 7:Nothing for this trip. We will visit Hakata again in April, but the price is increased 30%. It is very expensive.....
Review 8:The room and bathroom is big and clean, location is very good.
Review 9:Individual front desk staff was professional, helpful, yet not smiling or friendly. But this is an individual case. Most of the staff we encountered were both helpful and friendly. Room size is not too spacious but one can imagine as this is Japan. We stayed during the new year holiday hence the room rate was understandable, I guess.
Review 10:Location is superb, just 2 minutes outside the central exit of Hakata. Underground access is available as well. Love the variety of breakfast. Leaving luggage one or two days prior to and after the checked-in days is the feasible-- which was really a big help. Will come back again if visiting Fukuoka.
Review 11:Great location. Clean, contemporary, comfortable. Nice breakfast at G/f with view of the streets. booked this hotel again in next trip to Hakata already.
Review 12:Nothing
Review 13:Great location just 2 mins walk from Hakata Sta. and in the middle of shopping area. Canal city is just 500 meters away. Room is clean and big enough
Review 14:We cannot store the lugage at the hotel for two days after checking out. It was not so friendly for visitors who travel to Yufuin and Beppu for a couple days.
Review 15:Roomds are big and clean. The location is very convenient.
Review 16:My key peeve is the reluctance of staff to go beyond their job scope. When i asked for help to post a letter ( stamped and sealed), the reply was a flat no.
Review 17:This was our 2nd time staying at this facility. Location, cleanliness and amenities are reasonable.
Review 18:Staff is very friendly they can speak english. The room is very comfortable clean and so close hakata station. If I have change I will choose this hotel again^^
Review 19:Drank coffee in the room. The coffee cups were left uncleaned even the next day after house keeping
Review 20:Great location. Walking distance to hakata city and canal city
Review 21:Very convenience as it is near JR and many shopping location nearby. Size of the twin bedroom is good & it is clean and comfortable. Will definitely choose here next time.
Review 22:Safe in located in the drawer, instead of cabinet.
Review 23:Really nice hotel in such a good location, just opposite JR Hakata Station so very convenience for foreigners who travels within Kyushu by JR Pass and use this hotel as a center so big luggage can be stored at hotel while traveling around with carry on bag. And that a lot of nice restaurants incl. shopping places such as Hankyu, Tokyo Hands, etc in this area. Check in time is 2 pm. I checked in before due to early flight arrival then went out for sighseeing. Once back, all luggages were already put into my room, really like this service which I've never found in most hotels at this standard I stayed in Japan. Most front office staff speak English. Buffet breakfast is worth to try, with quality and variety.
Review 24:Not much amenities apart from what was in the hotel room, but not really a dislike.
Review 25:Very pleasant stay. Room (and toilet!)looked clean and new, and room size was reasonable. In-room wifi always appreciated. Front desk was courteous, quick and efficient.
Review 26:The staff at the reception were poor in English though they were very nice and helpful. Also there was no English TV channel provided which made me very disappointed.
Review 27:This is a well located, clean, tidy and modern small hotel. JR station, subways, shopping malls and restaurants are all within 3-5 minutes walking distance. The buffet breakfast was delicious and has many choices though they were mainly Japanese cuisine. The staff there refilled the food even after 9am (note the buffet breakfast will finish at 10am). That's impressive as I saw some guests came late for breakfast. The hotel is the building just on your right hand side when you get out of the subway exit W18. However, you have to walk up two floors stairs to get out of the exit W18. If you have a heavy luggage, you may have to bear this in mind.
Review 28:Had difficulty locating the hotel initially as it was being blocked by the Fukuoka Bank building which is right next to the hotel. We went to the other JR Blossom Fukuoka which is located on the opposite side of Hakata Station. There are 2 JR Blossom Hotels near Hakata Station; JR Blossom Hakata and the other JR Blossom Fukuoka but we were directed to the wrong one before we get to the correct hotel. Wasted an hour to search for the hotel where it stated 2 mins walk from Hakata station.
Review 29:The hotel is trendy and conveniently located near Hakata Station.
Review 30:-Just 3 mins walking distance from the Hakata Station, very convenient for taking train and bus -Many restaurants nearby -Room is bigger than expected, very clean and tidy, and with comfortable pillow and bed -Reasonable price
Review 31:At first I went to another hotel with the same name on the other exit and the staff told me that this hotel was a new sister hotel on the other exit. We couldn't find this hotel on the GPS and no one could tell us where it was. Finally, we found the hotel which was right in front of the train station.
Review 32:The hotel is new and very clean. The room and bed is larger than other hotels. It's right in front of Hakata station.
Review 33:Aircon not working well, room is very hot and stuffy in the night. Front desk staff not very friendly can't even speak simply English.
Review 34:Near to train station, Resturant and shopping
Review 35:No English Channel for TV programs Front desk can only speaks very basis English. Only 1 pillow for each guest instead of 2 pillow provided.
Review 36:Convenient, near to resturant, shopping and Train station.
Review 37:Pillows too soft. Breakfast has predominently Japanese style food. Could be perfect if more choice of western style food available.
Review 38:Top location of just 2 minutes walk from Hakata station. New clean room with wonderfully comfortable shower.
Review 39:The position is very good the staff very nice and good in English, the hotel breakfast is also delicious and have many choice, i think i will keep booking when i arrive hakata next time.
Review 40:Staff can not communicate in English. We could not get city and bus map in English from the front reception. It only available in Japanese. We have to go and get it at Hakata station.
Review 41:Facilities and location
Review 42:Not all the staff could understand us in English, so we had to resort to a translation app.
Review 43:Best location, hotel is located above the JR station and the bus stops and taxi stand where 5 minutes away. Many choices for food as AMU plaza is a couple of minutes walk away. The hotel is fairly new and our rooms were spacious for Japanese standard. We were travelling with a 5 year old and our toddler and we asked for an additional bed (with extra charges) and there were still amble space for our 2 huge bags and for the kids to move around in the room.
Review 44:Out of 10 for english skills I would give them a 2, even asking where a post office is they didn't understand. Poor service, they could not post anything for me. The room was tiny.
Review 45:Close to train station, that's all... DON'T STAY THERE
Review 46:Arrived earlier than the check in time. We were able to leave our luggage at the reception. When we came back, our luggage had been carried up to our room.
Review 47:Since the lobby is quite small, some people just opened their luggages for packing in lobby. Not good.
Review 48:The air condition can be adjusted individually. Many of the hotels in Japan are central controlled.
Review 49:The door stopper doesn't work and it is the only thing we minded. Haha.. so it's a very good hotel.
Review 50:The hotel was very bright and clean and very near to the JR exit. The staff was very friendly and the room was surprisingly big. They even had a cot for my 9 months old baby. Toilet was clean and bath tub was spacious.
Review 51:I am a breastfeeding mom and had to freeze the milk. The hotel is helpful enough to help me put the milk in the kitchen freezer but for whatever reason their freezer is not cold enough to completely freeze the milk into solids. Also note that there is no direct access from the subway exit to the hotel. The closest exit (W18) are a long flight of stairs and is not open 24 hrs.
Review 52:The location is unbeatable, it is 3 mins walk from the Hakata Station and the central bus terminal. Room is actually quite spacious by Japanese standards
Review 53:I'm happy to eat a Japanese breakfast but if there is a buffet choice then I would expect it to include bread that can be toasted. The only bread available was of the sweet variety.
Review 54:New, clean, bright, friendly and helpful staff.
Review 55:The location was great for train travelers. The train station also has a lot of restaurants in the lower level which was convenient. We needed to head to the airport early the next morning and it was only two stops away on the metro. The room was small, but very comfortable.
Review 56:A wee bit pricey, but im a cheap bastard. not unreasonable for the quality of room and service.
Review 57:Very helpful staff even though the language barrier was a bit of an issue! Very friendly and accommodating. Great location.
Review 58:Their parking policy is not good, the rate is 1500yen for 17 hours but we need to pay again once we drive out/in the car.
Review 59:The room is good and very comfortable especially the bed. The hotel is just opposite to the JR station and it is in the heart of the city. You can shop and eat just right there
Review 60:This hotel locates just next to JR Hakata which makes easy accessibility to various places. As a visitor, you can find lots of nice shopping malls and local restaurants to challenge your appetite. Wifi support is superb!!!
Review 61:As many JR hotels (we've been in 3 of them), this hotel is located within a very short walking distance. The hotel comes with clean, quite big and modern rooms. The hotel lobby is not too big, but has some sitting areas what is absolutely sufficient. The staff was friendly and attentive.
Review 62:Some confusion on arrival due to Booking.com incorrect info, but sortedeventually.
Review 63:Very convenient location opposite the main Hataka jr rail station. Greatmodern hotel with very nice rooms and facilities. Generous includedbreakfast and good value price.
Review 64:It has an identical name to JR Blossom Hotel symmetrically on the other side of Hakata Station. Many people must make the mistake of going to the wrong one - there is a map ready to redirect us. Change the name!!
Review 65:Efficient and clean.
Review 66:There was nothing I did not like!
Review 67:I felt secure as a single older woman traveller. The electronic scanner to access the lift and my room made me feel safe. The coffee and tea facilities in the room were a bonus.
Review 68:We were given window view facing water tanks near construction site. Not very nice, hope that it will ease up after construction finishes.
Review 69:The breakfast has very good variety of both Japanese and Western. Location close to bus terminal, although new visitors may have some difficulty finding it. Staff are friendly and speak good English.
Review 70:The location of the hotel is amazing. Right next to the train station , exit west 18. The was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The staff professional and kind. I would defenitely recommend this particular hotel. Woukd not hesitate to stay there again.
Review 71:Clean, new hotel with a friendly and helpful staff. About one block from the JR Hakata station and about 20 minutes from the airport by taxi. (You can also get to the airport on the nearby subway.)
Review 72:There was a strong smell of tobacco smoke in our first (non smoking) room. At first the staff claimed the hotel was full and there was no other room. We did get another room but had to insist a manager came to the room.
Review 73:We had a large corner room - but the first room we were allocated was much smaller
Review 74:No facility like gym or onsen and no free early check in.
Review 75:1. Location is near Hakata train station, subway, restaurants and malls in the station 2. Hotel still looks new with modern design 3. Free wifi 4. Spacious twin room with comfortable beds and enough space for 2 people with two 89cm luggages
Review 76:Not a bad experience at all but just to be aware there is no porter service. It is more like a business hotel
Review 77:Seems quite new and quite spacious room by Japan standards. Meticulously clean, brilliant location , cross the road from JR Hakata station , and 10 min walk to Canal City. There is even a coin operated washing machine on each floor! Buffet Breakfast is included, lots of choices of delicious local food. Excellent value for price range. Highly recommended
Review 78:You have to look at a black book in room to find the wifi password, they are not place on the table.
Review 79:Hotel is clean and bright. Staff is pleasant and helpful, good location, Hakata station just across the road. Spacious room, convenient.
Review 80:I key in the hotel tel. no to GPS, the hotel location can't be found from GPS. It only shows the hotel in few block away . I need to drop down the car, and ask some people where is the hotel. After 20minus, I found the hotel and write down the telephone no which is next door shop. Then I key in the phone no into the GPS. Finally I reach to the hotel.
Review 81:The twin bed are big.
Review 82:Quite strick with the check-in time. Limited English with staff, thus it simply makes the foreign guests feel awkward or uncomfortable.
Review 83:Very new and spacious room comparing to Japanese business hotel standard. Good location and strong wifi.
Review 84:Difficult to find the hotel especially with similar name hotel nearby. We drove there and there was no parking space to unload luggage.
Review 85:Very near Hakata station
Review 86:After a 10 hours flight it would be nice to check in early for a short sleep, but as I assume every Japanese hotels is strict to check in times. We paid the extra amount for an early check in and good sleep to recover from the jet lag.
Review 87:Very close to the JR Hakata, nice room, comfortable beds and friendly staff.
Review 88:I was there two nights, and they issue me only one night parking permits, and they did not notify me ahead of time, when the time I check out with me car, they charge me like 6600yen, lucky that I have some cash on my hand, afterthat, I need to talk to the front desk and they give me back the money difference, but still, please please please, next time tell the customer ahead of time, because after check -out I was plan to go to airport, it was rush !!!
Review 89:it is near the train station and they have one large shopping mall near around, afew resturant near by, but no 屋台near by, room is clean and tidy, hotel with no swimming pool, no onsen, no public bath room, if you looking for a room for shopping purpose only, it is still a good room, but on my next trip, I may try other hotel near 天神 train station, because they are surrounded by shopping malls, and with those 屋台in the street!!!
Review 90:I left my curling iron in my room. I returned to the hotel 10 days later and they have kept it at the lost and found. They gave it back including my grandson's toy car. Very honest staff!
Review 91:Although the staff were friendly and willing to help, their standard of English can be improved.
Review 92:Convenient location. Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Review 93:Nothing really, but hopefully in time, the staff will learn to speak English fluently.
Review 94:Location close to transportation, restaurants, shopping, etc. Staff and facilities are simply excellent!
Review 95:Nothing specific.
Review 96:From Hakata Station (west exit, maybe main exit), just cross the street and go 20 meters more, you'll find this lovely hotel. I think this hotel is brand new. Breakfast is served in buffer style, and it's OK. Don't forget to taste mentaiko (eggs of pollack) and dried sea-weed! Canal city Hakata is only 7 min walk from the hotel.
Review 97:Price is a little bit high but if I have a chance to visit hakata again I still choose this hotel
Review 98:Staff, service minded, location, food, clean, practical
Review 99:Like all Japanese hotels checkin us after 2 pm. There was no option for early check in. Had to pay 11000 yen extra in order to do so as I had to shower and change for a meeting
Review 100:Central location just outside hakata train station . 2 minutes walk. Not to be confused with JR. Kyushu Blossom fukuoka which is also outside the station . Excellent swevice
Review 101:None.
Review 102:Location of this hotel is very accessible from the Hakata station. Hotel is well maintained and the room is very comfortable. Bed was very comfortable. Very happy with my stay in this hotel.
Review 103:Hotel's amenities are same as to 3 star hotel, although this hotel is rated in 4 star level.
Review 104:Hotel's location is comfortable and very easy to access from JR Hakata station in 3 mins. Easy to connect to everywhere in Fukuoka metropolitan area.
Review 105:The cable TV didn´t seem to have any English language channels
Review 106:High quality building and rooms Well appointed bathroom Nice size of bedroom Good storage space for clothes Close to the main station and shopping area
Review 107:Rooms slightly on small side although fair by Japanese standards.
Review 108:Fantastic location with lots of restaurants and transport choices around. Easy access to lots of attractions. Will recommend to those who are not driving and using trains subway or buses as their main form of transport.
Review 109:For breakfast, there was not much choice of western foods.
Review 110:Hotel was very close to the Hakata station which was the main reason why we chose it. It was modern and clean and rooms were of a decent size (we stayed in a twin room).
Review 111:cannot postpone the check out time to 1pm even. Rules is very strict.
Review 112:Breakfast is very good. many choice and fresh. location is super great. Hotel is new only 5 mins to JR station. 20mins to aiport if travel by bus.
Review 113:Check-in time is stated as 2pm. However, our room is not ready at 2+pm. The hotel advised the room is only available 30 minutes later. Slight disappointment in this aspect.
Review 114:Location is great. less than 5 minutes walk from JR Hakata Station. The subway exit at sunplaza is just next to the hotel. Room is clean and comfortable. Room size is reasonable, normal Japanese standard.
Review 115:room super small..recommend if travel alone or with someone book twin bedroom.. the room is bigger and the twin bed can pull together.
Review 116:good location..EASY to get to hakata station
Review 117:It is difficult to interact with some staff as they are not fluent in English.
Review 118:Perfect location, just a few steps away from JR Hakata Station, JR Hakata City, Subway, and Bus Terminal. You can do lots of things around Amu Plaza. Look for one-day passes (check for different options) to take as many buses as you can to go to Canal City, Hawks Town (Dome, Hard Rock, and others), Fukuoka Tower is great! And Ohori Park is a must. Going back to the hotel: great room, comfortable, attractive, cozy. Breakfast includes Japanese and Western option.
Review 119:Location is the key for this hotel. Just in front of Hakata Station. one of the exit from subway just right in front of the hotel. 7/11, Familymart are just there. Tokyohand is just opposite. Delicious restaurants around the area. New and Clean...1300 Yen for Taxi to the airport...
Review 120:Good location (across the road from JR station and many shops & restaurants underground and in JR Hakata City). Spacious room (twin beds) with humidifier and clean toilet. Staff can speak English.
Review 121:the twin room is quite small so no space to open our 2 cabin bags which is all we had. Cannot imagine if others have bigger luggage. However, to be fair, the room is actually bigger than some other Japanese chain hotels like Toyoko-Inn.
Review 122:I like the convenience of the location, opposite the Hakata JR station with various underground and overground links. Lots of eating places and walking distance to all the sights. Great lights all around because its Christmas season, so very festive feel.
Review 123:-Location is great -Hotel room is large when comparing with standard Japanese hotels -comfortable bed and pillows - free wifi - clean room with all you may need
Review 124:Car park is a block away from hotel. You have to carry your own luggage to hotel lobby and no bell boy/staffs would help.
Review 125:Excellent location, new and nice room
Review 126:Wants you to pay upfront instead of using your credit card as guarantee first, then pay when you check out
Review 127:Location - great, easy to get to Tenjin area - yen100 bus ride
Review 128:- the wifi was terrible in the room. it would show connected but kept losing connection, had to plug it in directly to the modem at the end.
Review 129:- the beds were really comfortable, they pushed the two twins together without me asking which was really nice - very clean - lots of different amenities in the bathroom, however, would be nice to have something for the bath (salts)
Review 130:Hotel front office staff have limited understanding of English.
Review 131:Next to the Hakata Station within walking distance, use this hotel as a base to explore the rest of Fukuoka
Review 132:Nothing really but perhaps if they can provide some international channels on the tv, there would be great.
Review 133:Location, location, location! Short walk from JR station. Great if you are dragging big pieces of luggage. Next to the hotel there is a staircase which leads to sunplaza and ichiran ramen is just at b2! You can also use the underground to get to subway or JR lines (west exit 18) The hotel seems to be new so cleanliness is ok. Storage of luggage is also possible. We left our luggage for a few days while we tour other parts of Kyshu and when we checked in again, they have already brought the luggage there. Great service. Room is also very spacious based on Japanese standard. The hotel also serves great breakfast buffet at a affordable price.
Review 134:Some of the reception staff could not speak English well. It was difficult to communicate and sometimes her action made me feel impolite. I think I should learn more Japanese to communicate with her.
Review 135:The hotel is very comfortable, clean, very new.
