Reviews for Residenza Villa Titina
Review 1:We loved the location of Sant'Agata and the area around the hotel - the pool was excellent and breakfast served on the terrace provided a good selection with great service. The bedroom was lovely and well equipped. Tiziana and all staff were fantastic and really helpful, the walk into Sorrento only took 40 minutes - all down hill! Journey back of course not so easy but there is a good bus service. There are several good restaurants within walking distance with no need to go further to find a good selection. the village is well placed for exploring the Amalfi coast
Review 2:Really nothing.
Review 3:Villa Titina was a really good choice! Very nice and calm place in the middle of Santa Agata. I would go there straight again. Titiana is a very Kind host, very helpful in all situations. Rooms are very clean and big, bathroom also. We had breakfast in the garden besides the pool. Everything is made with love. Parking in the back of the house. There are a few nice Restaurants within Walking. Mimis was very delicious, Orlandos is nice for a aperitivo and watching People. Santa Agata a good Location for making day trips to the Amalfi coast. We
Review 4:This is a delightful place to stay. We stayed here for nine nights and found the location very good, as restaurants and bars are close and you can reach Sorrento, Amalfi, Pompeii etc easily by reasonably priced public transport. The view from our balcony over the bay to Capri was stunning and the room was elegant, very clean and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Thank you Tiziana, Francesca and Maria-Teresa!
Review 5:On arrival of our four day stay to Villa Titina we were made to feel very welcome, nothing was to much trouble. A beautiful villa in a lovely village away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. We would love to return and stay for longer next time.
Review 6:The location was a little far out but the hotel is situated in a lovely town with a few restaurants and bars.
Review 7:The staff were so helpful especially Francessca. Nothing was too much bother for any of them and they always happy and smiling. The rooms were very clean and modern and the maid did an excellent job at maintaining the cleanliness of the apartments.
Review 8:Location for travelling is perfect! The small village where it's situated means that all that u need is nearby! Fab pool, gardens & hosts - I wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Review 9:Internet signal was very weak.
Review 10:The owners were very friendly and concerned that everything was good for our stay. They helped us with directions to catch buses to Sorrento and Positano and also with how to walk down into Sorrento (which took about 40 minutes). We actually like the village it is located in, Sant'Agata, better than Sorrento or Positano as it was very laidback and restaurants there were great. It was easy to get to other towns during the day, but we enjoyed coming back to the calm of Villa Titina at the end of the day and hopping in the pool to cool off.
Review 11:Tiziana, Her Mumma, Francesca and Maria-Teresa completely stole ourhearts. So much so we extended our 6 night stay into an 11 night stay,we didn't want to leave!!!If you want accommodation which is a home away from home, including warm hugs and two cheek italian kisses, this is the place for you. SUPER clean and spacious rooms, AMAZING view of the island of Capri from the balconies, yummy breakfast and the cutest garden and pool area. Tiziana is full of all the information you need, she recommended things to do as well as tours and bus times. The SITA buses are with in close walking distance to the hotel and the cheapest and easiest way to get around. It's also in an awesome location, a little village about 20 minutes from Sorrento, which is the perfect getaway from way too many tourists at Positano and Amalfi. You can come home to a nice view and the birds singing along with the Church Bells! So nice!! Tiziana and her team really go above and beyond what is required and make your stay so special you know you'll always remember it. We know we will and we made some beautiful new friends. Love Charley and Flora! Xxx
Review 12:Everything was just great.
Review 13:Personal service and care, great and comfortable room with a view over Capri, a very nice garden and pool area in the middle of Sant Agata village. Thank you Tiziana and your team for making us feel so welcome! We highly recommend your beautiful place.
Review 14:Whilst the breakfasts were well packaged, we would have loved some fresh fruit and eggs. A little noisy at times (street noise).
Review 15:Secure and away from the hustle of the city centre
Review 16:Titiana was very welcoming and helpful. The room was lovely and the breakfasts (served in our room at this time of year) looked and tasted delicious! The town is big enough for excellent restaurants and facilities on the doorstep. Enjoyed the walk down to Sorrento (and bus back).
Review 17:No elevator
Review 18:The owner was magnificent, the room was excelent, good kapri view. The hotel is well furnished and breakfast is served under the kiwi trees.
Review 19:Comfortable room with beautiful views of Capri and relaxing breakfast under the kiwi tree arbour The lovely Tiziana and her team Perfectly situated in Sant Agata with good restaurants within easy walking distance Easy walk into Sorrento and public transport links to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri, Amalfi etc Well marked local walks through lemon groves and olive groves
Review 20:Not a problem for us, but this villa is on a busy main street which can be noisy. We had a village view room, but I suspect the sea view ones are quieter
Review 21:This was a fab find for our last minute break. Sorrento is just a thirty minute walk away, and there are really good local bus links and off-street parking if you plan on hiring a car. Tiziana and her team are fantastic, friendly and welcoming from when you arrive right through to check out. They arranged for us to join a local trip to Capri, via coach and ferry, arranging for breakfast to be served in our room ahead of the usual service time. The room we stayed in was generous sized, neutrally decorated with a balcony perfect for people watching, plenty of storage space an a spacious, clean, modern bathroom. We've already recommended the villa to family on our return.
Review 22:Very kind owner Tiziana, good place to go around of Amalfi coast,to do hiking.Very good restaurants near from this hotel, not so many tourists as in Sorento.
Review 23:Very atentive and kind staff. Spacious and clean room with nice views of Capri island. Good parking place. Bus to Sorrento very convenient not to have to take the car.
Review 24:use only the buses to get around. The taxis are expensive.
Review 25:location was great. Away from the crowds and tourists of Sorrento yet easy to reach by bus. high quality everything and run by a lovely family
Review 26:Villa Titina really is a place you have to visit, Tiziana and Francesca make you feel most welcome and are there to help in any way they can. The recommended walk into Sorrento has to be done , it may take a while but is well worth it. Our room was very very comfortable and what really made it was the view over Capri. Local restaurants offer a great selection of food and Orlando's Bar is a lively enjoyable place to start your night. I can safely say we will at some point be returning.
Review 27:To be honest for the price this place is close to faultless. Perhaps the bed was a bit firm for our liking, but that's a personal preference. Another reviewer has mentioned the small shower, and I agree. But these are minor details. Overall this place is exceptional for the price and the location. It is also spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.
Review 28:This is a great place to stay if you want to visit Sorrento, Positano, Amalfi or Capri and are looking for high quality accommodation at a very competitive price and somewhere which is away from the hustle and bustle of most of the towns around here (which, in July and August is a serious factor). This B&B only has 7 rooms and yet it has a lovely swimming pool and plenty of sun loungers. You will probably find that you have the pool to yourself on most occasions, even in peak season. There is also an excellent beach (Marina del Cantone) within a 20 minute drive where you can find a private beach club called I Sassi for 15 euro a day, parking included, which serves good lunches and also has smart sun loungers. The entrance is about 300m on the right before you get to the Marina del Cantons town square. But Tiziana can advise you about all this - she speaks excellent English and is very willing to make suggestions. Parking at the Villa is on site and is free - and yet you are placed right in the centre of the town so the location couldn't be more convenient. There is a well known Michelin starred restaurant about 50m away, called Don Alfonso. The food is very good but note that the prices are sky high, and so you could end up paying more for your meal on one night than for several days accommodation at Villa Titina! We found that Il Stuzzichino, about 200m away, is a very good option in terms of quality but also value for money. The secret of Villa Titina's success is that it is family owned and run and the whole experience is very personal. We stayed for 7 nights and thought that it was a great choice. We had room 201 which has a triple aspect, two balconies and great views of Capri. With a wonderful breakfast included in the rate, and free on site parking, this B&B is a real bargain.
Review 29:Amazing staff, clean and comfortable rooms, fresh breakfast.
Review 30:All was good.
Review 31:Very helpful staff, great location to explore the Amalfi coast, parking in the middle of the town, nice breakfast.
Review 32:nothing
Review 33:Fantastic hotel, very friendly staff
Review 34:Location, room, breakfast in garden, lovely hosts.
Review 35:village dogs barking.. No room safe
Review 36:So clean... Everything was perfect., view, room, breakfast
Review 37:Centrally located in the village. Nice gardens and pool. Good continental breakfast.
Review 38:Everything plus ... I forgot my sun head on a SITA bus at 17.00. Thanks to Titina, I got it back the very next morning at breakfast time !!
Review 39:Plenty of restaurants and nice walk in to Sorrento
Review 40:Shower in our room was small but that was minor. Really we loved it there.
Review 41:We loved Villa Titina as a quiet place in the hills above Sorrento. A great break from the hustle and bustle of its more famous neighbour down by the sea. We appreciated the very friendly and helpful staff who spoke excellent English. Tiziana and Francesca welcomed us warmly, went out of their way to help us with a problem we had in Napoli and gave excellent advice about travel, eating in the town which was great, walks etc. We spent 6 days there and enjoyed it all. We walked down to Sorrento twice and took the bus back up the hill. Tiziana arranged a day visiting Amalfi and Positano by boat- THE way to go! The Amalfi coast is a great sightseeing and shopping locale and we had been advised to go that way rather than take the bus. Very windy roads which are scenic but very narrow and slow travelling. Villa Titina is very comfortable with a great feel; relax by the pool, eat breakfast under the arbour or in your room, enjoy a drink in the gardens. Sorrento is a lovely place to visit, to shop, to eat in and to go sightseeing. We are glad we chose to stay at Villa Titina and avoid the very tourist oriented Sorrento. Sant'Agatha is a lovely small village with great atmosphere, enough English to get by and good restaurants.
Review 42:Sometimes the traffic noise (motorbikes / mopeds) was a little loud, especially late at night
Review 43:On our arrival we received a very warm welcome from Tiziana, her mother and Francesca, who were all very friendly and genuinely helpful in every way they could be during our stay. It is a family run hotel, which is spotlessly clean throughout, with pleasant grounds and pool area. A choice of continental breakfast is offered and can be served either in your room or under the leafy covered pergola near the pool. Our room (201) on the second floor, was large with a comfortable king size bed and had a spacious balcony with views towards Capri. The linen is changed regularly and the towels daily. The room has a small fridge and wi fi is available. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, Tiziana recommended some to us, which were so good that we returned again. Tiziana was very kind and helpful when my husband unfortunately became ill after a trip to Sorrento. She showed genuine concern, offering to go with me to the Pharmacy to help with communication and brought complimentary refreshments to our room for two days, until he recovered. Sant' Agata is a lovely authentic place to stay, with lots of restaurants near Villa Titina. There are plenty of reasonably priced facilities nearby. We enjoyed the short ten minute walk up to the view point near the monastery, where there are panoramic views of the bay of Naples. During our stay we also walked to Sorrento, it's all a gentle winding downhill slope and takes about an hour or so. We got the sightseeing bus back (uphill) to Sant' Agata and there's also a local bus too. The walk to Termini is a pleasant one and takes just over an hour. We stopped for lunch at Mira Capri restaurant and stayed about two hours as the scenary is stunning with clear views over Capri, definitely recommended. We enjoyed days out at Positana, Pompeii and Herculaneum. Tiziana can help with information and advice about trips such as Capri etc. Tiziana is an excellent host, she is very kind and genuinely cares about her guests.
Review 44:The property's name could be displayed more prominently as very difficult to find it on initial arrival.
Review 45:Due to several delays we arrived at Villa Titina close to midnight. Tiziana was waiting for us and made our arrival a very pleasurable experience given the late hour. The room we were given was of a good size and well appointed with space for a small lounge area, fridge, room safe and very clean throughout. Excellent shower and bathroom facilities. The large balcony was a big bonus where we were able to have our breakfast while watching the boats around Capri. Excellent coffee, homemade cake and selection of bread/pastries/cheese/yoghurt/ cereal on request. Was also the place to be at sunset sipping a local limoncello. Aside from being the perfect hotess Tiziana is also a good guide to what to see and do, how to get there for the surrounding region. Have no hesitation in recommending Villa Titina as a good base for exploring the Amalfi Coast. Besides being an excellent place to stay it is also just a short walk to the exceptional Don Alfonso's restaurant.
Review 46:Breakfast was the virtually the same every day but very fresh ,localfruit which is in abundance would have been a welcome addition
