Review 1：Do think that at breakfast they need to have a few more options. Also, because they serve it outside (which is nice in terms of the views) they need to cover more of the food.

Review 3：The rooms are not adequately sound proofed and it was just unfortunate that there were guests who were talking loud late in the evening.

Review 4：Ideal location and ambience. I particularly like it because the hotel is walking distance to the sunset/sunrise temple. I also liked that the dining area is al fresco and looking out into the river. Food is also unexpectedly good and reasonably priced.

Review 5：Food served was average quality. Dining staff were not attentive. They charged us for 4 nights even though we told them 2 months before that we only could stay 3 nights. Refused to refund except with CEO approval & he was on holiday. The reception staff kept repeating the same rehearsed phrase no matter what the question. Absolutely hopeless. The bright spot was when Thyer came on the scene & he tried to be helpful.

Over the course of our stay we Waited long periods of time for service and on many occasions we needed to interrupt staff member conversations for service. when they eventually came to give menus/take orders it was average at best. A lot more training needed.

Review 8：The location and situation of the hotel is exceptional. The view from the restaurant is breathtaking and is a great place to watch sunset. There are temples with in the resort grounds and many right out the front door so your definitely in the think of it and it is very easy to hire bikes and mopeds from out the front.

Staff do not tidy up the breakfast buffet and seem to have little understanding of the hygiene requirements of an international hotel. The location, while pleasant is very limiting as there is nothing outside the hotel in terms of food and drink - transportation is needed. Some of the rooms have plyboard walls which offer little privacy.

Review 22：This place has an incredible location with easily the best views in Bagan. Charming staff take care of a well-managed front desk and good restaurant. At night everything is illuminated by candle light, including the ancient temple located in the grounds - how many hotels can boast this?

Review 23：Beautiful location!!! Backyard garden with jungle-like atmosphere. Huge trees, Bagan ruins right on the property, magical lanterns hanging from the trees and lit up at night. Gorgeous! Grounds are beautiful with nice pool and traditional woven siding on the bungalows. Very peaceful. Easy to rent bikes or horse carriage right outside the gate. My favorite hotel I stayed at in Myanmar.

Review 25：The hotel garden is absolutely beautiful with unbeatable sunsets (the garden contains two temples). Further, the breakfast buffet is copious and very good, in the beautiful garden setting - again, unbeatable. The rooms are a bit dark and a little ' worn' , but spacious and generally nice. The pool is great! The staff is extremely helpful and willing to facilitate any requests.

Review 27：On the down side, apart from the location, I feel the hotel was not good value compared to other hotels I stayed in in Myanmar. My room (a Junior Suite) was in need of a makeover, had well worn linen and blanket and the towels were long overdue for replacement being very tatty indeed.

Review 85：Best location in Bagan- and two temples inside the hotel. If you get a riverview room - a bit more expensive - it is even better. Good restaurant. Nice staff - even if their English is usually very basic. There are 2 other hotels in Old Bagan, but the beauty of the buildings, grounds and lush vegetation of River View give it the advantage.

Review 86：Cleanliness is a bit off at this hotel. When we checked in our room, toilets are a bit dirty and also the bathtub. Even though restaurant is located on river bank and view is nice, plate and utensils are covered with some dusts. One more thing is when we checked in, they asked for Credit Card for swiping and payment though payments are already affected 1 week ago. If I did let them swipe and double deduction, it would be quite troublesome for me to retrieve back fund. But I have to understand the ladies as they're not well literate in these online payment matters. If they can improve cleanliness, I would say it's worth to values in old Bagan.

Review 87：Took Junior suite room and it's well spacious. Staffs are very helpful and polite towards all the guests. And location wise, it's so so great and one of very few hotels in Old Bagan.
