Reviews for Aylstone Martinborough
Review 1:be sure to email or call ahead to confirm time of arrival/check-in ... reception desk was not staffed or easy to contact when we arrived
Review 2:very clean, comfortable, spacious room with many thoughtful amenities - chocolates, sweets, teas, nuts and crisps. very comfortable bed, pillows and linens. positive spirit and energy, thank you! : )
Review 3:Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather and missed out on sitting outside on the patio which I was looking forward to.
Review 4:Lovely peaceful setting. Most gracious hosts.
Review 5:Still can't get used to the lack of screens on doors and windows in NZ and Australia!
Review 6:One night stay in this beautiful property in the town of Martinborough. Great location, close to wineries, very short distnce to town center. Very well-appointed room, excellent bathroom, gorgeous setting with vineyards directly outside, very friendly greeting. Outstanding all around.
Review 7:The hotel room was just excellent, everything was thought of - starting from different glasses for white and red wine, separate cups for tea and coffee, matches for candles, and so much more. The room was really lovely, and the winery feel made our New Year's celwbration excellent.
Review 8:A wee bit of a quibble.... breakfast was not up to much.. a continental breakfast is fine, but not packets of muesli and tinned fruit. Maybe homemade or loose muesli, and fresh seasonal blueberries, peaches etc? One slice of the bread for toast appeared stale, although it didn't really matter as we toasted it. Good facilities in room by the way. Toaster and coffee machine, altho we had to guess at the strength of the coffee as we didnt know what capsule of coffee was what. Pretty minor criticisms in the scheme of things.
Review 9:All good except as indicated. great welcome, and farewell. good ambience to whole property.
Review 10:Nothing, we were just sad to leave
Review 11:From the moment we arrived the owners were so welcoming, kind and friendly. The room was beautifully presented as were the B&B grounds. The attention to detail made our stay so enjoyable. We loved our stay and were sorry to leave. Thank you
Review 12:That we weren't staying longer.
Review 13:This was a delight from start to finish. The lovely woman and her daughter that greeted us and made us feel so welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, they in fact don't do breakfasts anymore but as Booking. Com hasn't updated their information yet they went out of their way to set up a lovely continental breakfast for us in our room. They shared excellent information on where to have a drink and where to have a meal. All of which was very accurate. The venue itself is so very tranquil. It is by far the most quiet place we have ever stayed at. I'm sure they even have the bird life trained not tweet too early in the morning. If you like quiet this the place for you. The rooms are beautifully decorated and we would loved to have had a look at all of them.
Review 14:Would have been nice to have a fridge in the room but didnt spoil our stay.
Review 15:No complaints we had a wonderful stay & look forward to returning next year. Perfect location for Toast Martinborough.
