Reviews for Oasis Hotel

Review 1:this was the most expensive hotel we stayed in in Myanmar and the worst. The room was damp, didn't get cleaned just changed the towels (which were thin and frayed) & bedding didn't fit the bed

Review 2:Friendly staff

Review 3:Pool was very cold as completely in the shade by trees - probably great in heat of summer.

Review 4:Room and facilities were very good and staff came round offering mosquito spray every evening - although in winter - early January this was not really a problem. Breakfast was good standard and choice with good coffee by Myanmar standards. Location good - close to good restaurants in Nyang U and e bike stands plentiful on road outside - 6,000Kyatt per day - only 10 min ride to old Bagan and loads of Pagodas worth visiting on way on inland road. 5 min walk to market.

Review 5:The pool was a bit over chlorinated. The wifi was iffy, but then again, expected in Myanmar. We has some business to take care of online, so it was probably a bit more frustrating then if one was just to check email and FB.

Review 6:Quiet little 'oasis'. Not far from airport. Very short walk into the town where you can grab a bite to eat at a variety of restaurants. Long breakfast hours. It's about a 3 km bike ride to Old Bagan. Temples to check out on the whole bike ride out!

Review 7:Very nice hotel, goodd size rooms with nice dekor, the bathroom was big and clean. The hotel bar was good and swimmingpool was a true refreshner in a hot day. The staff were friendly and helpfull, they book us the bus to Inle. You can rent a bike or e-bike in front of the hotel

Review 8:The manager is terrible and argued with me and basically called me a liar when I brought up for the third time that I hadn't had hot water when I'd taken showers the past two days. Same for the terrible wifi. He kept saying, "Actually, I'm connected to wifi now" and "actually, I went into your room and checked the hot water". He was terrible and completely ineffective as a manager. The location is a little annoying because it's at minimum a 10 minute walk for food because they claim to have a restaurant here but it's only the breakfast. Wifi is terrible.

Review 9:The linens, pillows, bed, and pool are nice.

Review 10:The pool was out of order when we got there which was the main reason we booked this hotel. No discount was offered. Feel they should have emailed to notify prior to arrival.

Review 11:Nice comfy rooms for an escape from the heat.

Review 12:The. Service was poor. Took 3 days and 3 requests to fix shower (no hot water and just a dribble of cold water) not good at communicating (messages re a changed departure for our baloon trip weren't passed on till the last minute, tours were booked incorrectly) and breakfast which was mean to start at 0630 never ready till 7am. Poor service let the hotel down. Roo

Review 13:The pool and the secluded. Boutique feel. Bike rental available just outside and not too far from the main restaurants

Review 14:Ugly new hotel building next door crowds the neighborhood.

Review 15:The pool and landscaping are truly refreshing. The staff is very professional and accommodating. Full English breakfast was excellent.

Review 16:Due to ISP problems in Yangon, the wifi was very patchy (best in the early mornings). However on chatting to other tourists this seemed to be a common problem no matter where you were staying. Laundry costs expensive ($2 USD for a tshirt)

Review 17:Staff exceptionally helpful and friendly - I did not meet anyone who was not willing to help out. Swimming pool a lovely touch Bottled water provided daily Breakfast was good and a little more variety than some places I had stayed

Review 18:Pool excellent, surrounded by lush gardens, looked amazing. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Poolside room was clean and decorated superbly.

Review 19:The building constructions next door. Too noisy in the morning.

Review 20:Had a nice stay and they served nice breakfast too. Location is okay, just a short walk to the street, with many restaurants. Or you can just rent a scooter just near the entrance of the hotel.

Review 21:The construction which is next door is EXTREMELY noisy and went on until 20h30...grinding, drilling, banging, scraping...not what you expect at an "OASIS" While one of the staff were great, others, front desk and housekeeping, definitely require training to bring them up to the standards that one will expect at USD80-100/night. Should you require early check-in, be sure to confirm this in writing beforehand and have it with you. If you have to stay here, DO NOT take a room in the first block which is closest to reception, dining area and ALL the noise.

Review 22:Hotel, room facilities were acceptable and clean for USD80/night.The location was perfect for us as we arrived by train from Mandalay. Restaurant row is close by as well as bike/horse rental outside the Hotel.

Review 23:Early morning noise from nearby construction and temples Lack of storage space

Review 24:Friendly staff Swimming pool Clean and modern Simple but good breakfast

Review 25:food is good but beware that is very slow (even by Myanmar standards!)

Review 26:friendly and helpful staff. centrally located. pool is nice for chilling.

Review 27:Rooms are getting old.

Review 28:The pool. Perfect location for a stay in Bagan area.

Review 29:Decent basic hotel for visiting Bagan. Language issues for the staff did their best. Beware the mosquitos and ask for your room to be sprayed!

Review 30:Staff not always that helpful

Review 31:Nice rooms, great pool and good location in Nyuang U.

Review 32:Terrible Wi-Fi.

Review 33:Oasis has the most comfortable beds I've slept on in Myanmar! Delightful and cute, with a staff that matches.

Review 34:Shower was very weak No wardrobe Slow internet Poor and very limited breakfast

Review 35:Quiet Peaceful Clean Comfortable

Review 36:Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Beautiful grounds. Great location.

Review 37:Pool Excellent service

Review 38:Limited breakfast options Smallish rooms.

Review 39:Clean Good staff
