Reviews for Grand Hotel Palace
Review 1:Only one staff member could speak English. The Internet connection was not permanent. I had to re-log in every time I tried to connect.
Review 2:Nice location. Close to the beach and the centre of the city. Excellent breakfast. Clean air-conditioned room. Cozy hotel. Lovely personnel.
Review 3:The hotel should offer free internet.
Review 4:I had a really lovely time at this hotel. The place is furnished and decorated in style, with marble stairs and ceramic floors in the room which is also furnished in really good taste. It's well maintained, clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated across the road from the hotel beach which includes a beach bar and has an exclusive feeling and pleasant music. I had a really pleasant stay, I will be back and I will recommend it to everyone I know.
Review 5:Bad reception of wifi in bedrooms. But not much of a problem.
Review 6:Central location. Nice beach location. Good Continental breakfast. Lots of cakes.
Review 7:Poor brekfast Not really a 4 star
Review 8:Good location Nice beach
Review 9:Wifi connection is complicated
Review 10:Love the beach!
Review 11:The hotel charges "extra" for everything: wifi access (!); useof a beach towel (4 Euros which I was told by the manager is the cost oflaundering a towel!); if you want to go on the "hotel beach,"the mandatory rental of a chair or of an umbrella/chair (onecan't only rent an umbrella because you are not allowed to lie onthe towel on the beach. &Quot; That is for the public beach," I wastold by the manager). Truthfully, we were so exhausted by the endlesscharges that in the end we paid the 60 Euro "extras" charge(which as far as I could tell included 4 beach towels on 2 days and onechair and umbrella on one day) without even fighting it. Who knows whatelse was in there? We were told breakfast is until 10, but at 9:30, theystart clearing the tables and making you feel unwelcome. There are lotsof choices, but everything is of the lowest and cheapest quality. Weavoided the wifi charge by using a local pizzeria and the parking chargeby parking on the street (in a "white," not "blue"zone.) In addition to the above annoyances, there was substantial blackmold in the corners of the shower and each time we stood at our doorinserting the key (They will only give one key per room, so you bettergo to sleep at the same time as your roommate!), we got dripped on by aleaky ceiling. One man at the front desk is extremely nice and helpful,as is the woman who seemed to be the restaurant manager, but the othersact as though they would prefer that you not be there. There is no waythis hotel deserves its 4-star rating! If you really want to stay acrossthe street from the beach, then consider it, but if you want to enjoyyour hotel, stay in the old city, which is very charming and a walk (15-20 minutes) from the public beach.
Review 12:The only great thing about this hotel it its location- directly acrossthe street form the beach and within an easy walk to shops andrestaurants.
Review 13:Greedy and not friendly hotel. For all what is possible they wantmoney. Wifi costs 15 euro per day - and it is very poor wifi. Atbreacfast there is nothing except corn flakes - you can come at 8.30o'clock and a waiter says that boiled eggs are allready finished. Iasked a waiter for fried eggs because there was nothing to eat and Ipaid 3 euro per egg (lol). At hotel beach umbrella and 2 beds cost 20euro per day for a couple, and it is impossible to stay for 2 hours forreduced price or to lie on your towel at the beach. But free and dirtycity beach is neer))
Review 14:The location is perfect. Main street, old town, temple - all is near.Perfect beaches are located near the hotel, further begin zone ofovrcrowded beaches. City beach is close two - if you don't want topay 20 euro per fay it's a good idea.
Review 15:4 days not worked air conditioning, further air conditioning worked very poorly. The room was very hot!!!! Always breaking one of the 2 lifts. The Breakfast is limited set of products and in time were presented ended products on the tables.
Review 16:This is NOT a 4 star hotel, maybe 2-3 star. The service from the staff was poor. We got no information on arrival, the breakfast was horrible and the aircondition didnt work. They promised that they would fix the aircondition every day, but that never happend. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone - the price is too high and the quality is low.
Review 17:The location was good, close to the beach and the city.
Review 18:Should have free wifi! Wifi isn't expensive and it is rude to chargeextra when already paying 300 for the room!
Review 19:Breakfasts Price/Qulity - doesnt correspond to **** hotel. Its a good ***
Review 20:Location
Review 21:A lot of children on the beach-everytime heard voices!!!Don't understand pricing for the beach:10€ per day-expensive and nobody say before!!!
Review 22:Not woked condisen, very old rooms, very bad bed, very smol room, very bed brekfest
