Reviews for Hakata Green Hotel No.2

Review 1:1. room size is a liitle bit small for two persons 2. Blancket is too thin 3. TV has no English sound track / movies 4. Single bed is small, should be King size. 5. Prefer drinking water in bottle not from the tab

Review 2:1. location is very near the Hakata Subway 2. More choices of Breakfast places (3 places) 3. Quality of breakfast is good 4. Amenities in the room & bathroom are sufficient and good quality. 5. Can keep luggage for free 6. Reception staffs speak English and kind

Review 3:The staff were not so friendly and helpful. Although they had luggage storage, it was the first time I experienced a hotel in Japan that did not have a weighing scale. If they had one, we would have been able to send by post some of our stuffs ahead of our departure and not be worried with an over max allowable weight luggage.

Review 4:Since we travelled to other parts of Kyushu, the hotel location near Hakata Station was a plus. There were also many shopping areas near the hotel so it was a very convenient location.

Review 5:First room we had, the bathroom smells really bad. But they gave us another room. The staffs were efficient but not friendly.

Review 6:Proximity to the train station.

Review 7:My only complaint is that I was unable to get a nonsmoking room so it smelled a little. Otherwise it was a typical hotel.

Review 8:Located right near train station. Lots of food in the area.

Review 9:To be fair, you get what you paid for. This is a hotel built in 1974... So it is kinda old though it was renovated. I am 6 ft tall and everything is sooo small to me. Bathroom and hotel room entrance is not easy for me. Also, this hotel uses actual key than access card, I think there is likely a security breach or at least it is not 100% safe in my very own view.

Review 10:Location.

Review 11:Everything seemed quite compact but it was fun to experience!

Review 12:Perfect location. The hotel is right next to Hakata station. It was really convenient to walk around, access the transportation, and go shopping.

Review 13:Double room is very small. It feels like they use a single room size for 2 people.

Review 14:Very convenience. Just 250 m (3-mins walk) from the train station. The room for 3 people is big and reasonable price. The hotel also provides luggage storage service.

Review 15:Check in - a lot of guests when check in- waiting so long

Review 16:Location; comfortable way to carry baggaes from Hataka Station to Hotel. Family Mart nearby the hotel

Review 17:The rooms were relatively small even for Japan.

Review 18:Great location, only a few minutes away from the Hakata station and via subway very close to the Fukuoka airport.

Review 19:air-con system is a joke. Although i check in during winter time, the air con system is centre control. Only warm air comes out, made the room so hot and wet.

Review 20:great location, from JR station to hotel almost under roof

Review 21:Tight fit for a family of 4 including a four and a six year old. But, typical for a standard Japanese hotel room.

Review 22:Literally steps away from Hakata Station. Very conveniently located. Choice of 3 restaurants for your included breakfast.

Review 23:Limited space for room.

Review 24:The location is excellent, and the breakfast coupon which allow you to choose between 3 nearby resturants is great. I can try different style of foods during serveral days.

Review 25:The first night single room, you can forget..too small, no space for one baggage.Normally are in Japan single room small, but this was too small and bathroom like phone box.

Review 26:I stayed twice in one week: The 2 night in double room: good for 1 Person. Breakfast western/japanese. Location

Review 27:This is the first time I write a bad review but I wasn't happy with my stay here. First it's still quite hot in Fukuoka at this time of the year, it was logically pretty hot in the room due to the weather and unfortunately they decided to stop the Aircon for the season. Problem is when I made my reservation it was clearly advertise that the room has the Aircon. They still do actually even if there will be no Aircon for a few months. There was no way to just open the window too due to some machine (probably the aeration of the building) working 24h just outside the side of the building I was in. In the end the heat in the room kept me from falling asleep until 4-5 in the morning. I also had no choice but to take a smoking room and if the smell was not terrible, it was definitely there. Other than that, the bed is not of good quality, the room looks old and needs a lot of refreshment. So if the Green Hotel N°1 is the best budget hotel I've been to in Japan this one was the worst.

Review 28:The location is great and the personnel nice though the girl I tried to talk to was useless due to extremely poor English. Also one very good thing is the very late check out and very early check in.

Review 29:the room is small, cannot open my two large luggage at the same time

Review 30:Just 3 mins walk to Hakata station, room is clean and tidy, many restaurants and shopping mall nearby

Review 31:Rooms overlooking the railway station are very noisy. The room was clean but everything was tired and well used. The mattress was due for replacement

Review 32:The proximity to the subway to get to the airport

Review 33:Perhaps it would be time to renew the room a bit although it is overall tindy & clearn.

Review 34:I like the fact that it's location is super convenience to find, just right next to the JR station. Breakfast is quite okay with 3 different restrurant to choose, you will anyway able to pick a one for you.

Review 35:Security can probably be a little better as I don't see any security around the lift. But overall, it's still ok.

Review 36:Location is fantastic! Service of the staff is good and the hotel even give a 300 yen voucher to the family mart nearby!

Review 37:The location is very convenience. The mature male staff (wear black frame) is very helpful. The breakfast in the lobby with white decorations is good( forget the restaurant name.

Review 38:Even the non smoking room still smell smoked recommended to use spray in the closet it helps reduced all smell.

Review 39:Quite room which location next to the train station ,lots of restuarents around hotel and breakfast was good.

Review 40:I asked for one hour late check out, which allow every hotel not allowed although hotel was not full

Review 41:because it is located next to main railway station it was very helpful to us, since we had to travel by train and metro every where

Review 42:Room too small, really no place for luggage; room too hot when coming back to hotel after a day out; exhaust fan in washroom not working, again very hot

Review 43:Very close to Hakata Station; high speed in room WiFi; friendly staff

Review 44:It is quite old compared to surrounding hotels. Annex Green Hotel is a lot newer and cleaner with the same price.

Review 45:The primary advantage of this hotel is that it is very convenient to walk from the hotel to hakata station.

Review 46:The airport didn't open until 5.30 and no one thought to tell us. We booked a taxi through the hotel for 4.15am and reception didn't say nothing so we were at the Airport standing outside for an hour.

Review 47:Close to the train station and close to the airport. Only used the hotel has we had early flights from Fukuoka the hotel is an ideal location.

Review 48:I liked everything but breakfast. It slightly need to improve in terms of food selections but it's kinda acceptable if thinking of the class of the hotel and price of breakfast.

Review 49:Location as it's just next to hakata station.

Review 50:As its location is just near the train station. It was quite noisy, so i couldn't sleep well. And if this is the very first visit to Fukuoka and you may take a bus from Hakata international airport to Hakata train station, you may get confused to find a right way to get to the hotel. I actually lost on the way to the hotel. But, if you take a subway to the station, it is much easier to get to the hotel.

Review 51:This hotel is located near the Hakata train station. And Starbucks is just around the corner. The location is perfect if you take a train or a bus. All the staff are friendly enough.

Review 52:The bathroom was a bit small, but it's to be expected.

Review 53:The hotel was super close to Hakata station. There is plenty to eat nearby the hotel and it's close to Canal City. It's a great location.

Review 54:The room was rather too small and compact eventhough it was supposed to be a double room. The bed barely fit the room. But still very clean though.

Review 55:Those who travel to other parts of Kyushu via Hakata train st. Or he bus terminal, the location is more than convenient. Also very easy to find when you arrive from the airport by the express bus.

Review 56:Staff could not speak good enough English, but they are still above average.

Review 57:Great location with superb breakfast. The room is quite spacious compared to other Japanese hotels, and the onzen is convenient for foreigners.

Review 58:The room is really so tiny even for a small built lady like me (I am 5 feet tall, size small). Luckily I stayed for a night only, too claustrophic The smallest hotel I have stayed in my many years of travel in Japan and I go to Japan 3 times a year, imagine that. I prefer to go back to my usual hotel in Tenjin.

Review 59:Location is ideal for Hakata station.

Review 60:- the room & bed was very small for 2 people. There's no space left in the room when you unpack your luggage

Review 61:- very close to the station - nice & helpful staff

Review 62:Smaller room and older amenities for the cost but still decent compared to many options in the area

Review 63:We had great WiFi in the room. The room was a typical small sized Japanese hotel room. Older, but still clean, the hotel is located right beside Hakata station which has a large plaza complex attached. It's closer to the business areas then the dining/entertainment hub of Tenjin but is only a train ride or half-hour walk away.

Review 64:The location is so close to Hakata station which very convenience for us (me and my mother) who have big luggages. Staff are so helpful and polite. Beds are comfortable and the room was clean. We didn't try breakfast here.

Review 65:Small room, but nearly all hotels in Japan have small rooms so not really complaining here.

Review 66:Western style room, friendly staff who spoke enough English to understand each other, could choose between japanese breakfast or western buffet.

Review 67:very dirty n small room cannot walk with barefeet due to hard dirty on the floor bad experience / too expensive if compare with the bad room

Review 68:nothing

Review 69:The hot and cold water tap should use a lever kind which allows you to control the temperature easily rather then turning both tap for cold and hot water to achieve a desired temperature. During shower, people may not turn off the tap after they have adjusted to a comfortable temperature as it is rather troublesome to re-adjust again. Thus resulting on water wastage.

Review 70:The hotel is just next to JR hakata station.the staffs speak English. We were delighted to received a 500yen voucher to spend at family mart. We will chose this hotel again should we visit Hakata in future.

Review 71:Nothing all OK.

Review 72:Short taxi ride, 10 mins, from airport. Very close to Hakata Station where there are shops, restaurants and a lovely rooftop outdoor area. We breakfasted each day at a small restaurant near the hotel with egg, salad, toast and coffee for very little money.

Review 73:I realized that I left my property in room after checked out. I contacted back to hotel and they found it and willing to post it back to me as soon as possible. That's very great Service. I will come back to stay here again for sure.

Review 74:Nothing really.

Review 75:We stayed here because we were flying out from Fukuoka the next day so best thing was location. Literally next to train station and then 6 minutes to the airport. Rooms were clean, we had a small double which was spacious enough for a night. Hotel has two restaurants on site which we didn't use because there are loads more in the station complex. Very reasonable rate so overall good value for money.

Review 76:It was a bit harder to find because the main entrance face the little street.

Review 77:It was walking distance to Hakata Station and for overseas visitor only 10 to 15 minutes drive to Fukuoka airport.

Review 78:Small room cannot put my lugguage it well.

Review 79:Nice staff, clean and convinience room but some room it's too small the same type room . So it's very good choice for stay in fukuoka . Thanks for help us everything ^ ^

Review 80:Rooms are rather small. We stayed at rooms facing the railway, and it was noisy when trains passing-by throughout the whole night.

Review 81:Good location. Friendly staff. Good Japanese style breakfast.

Review 82:the room is so small but aren't all hotel rooms in Japan small? the staff speak poor English but they are trying their best to be helpful.

Review 83:location is the best of the best. the staff is very kind and helpful.

Review 84:We had a traditional Japanese room. However, the beds were not real cotton futons. They were about 2" thin foam cushion pads. Not comfortable.

Review 85:Location is excellent.

Review 86:- A room was too small for 3 people. - Should adjust cleaning time.

Review 87:- Good location. Only few minutes to JR Hakata station, 200 meters. - Helpful staff. - Many types of restaurants have been provided for breakfast time.

Review 88:No coffee available for an early morning start before their official breakfast opening time. Otherwise this is an ideal one night stop-over hotel.

Review 89:Good location next to Hakata station, so it is ideal for an early-morning flight from Fukuoka airport taking the first subway just before 6am

Review 90:Location is very good! Just few steps from station. Near cheap restaurants where open until late night. Comfortable for who traveling around Kyushu because you can start from Hakata station, the nearest station. Check-in and check-out time is perfect. Clean and staffs are nice with service minds.

Review 91:Internet is slow and some ports (VPN and SSH) are blocked. The room was small

Review 92:The proximity to Hataka station The breakfast (expectilly the traditional Japanese one)

Review 93:not comfortable with the extra bed as close to the JR station, very noisy started early morning until midnight only heating system found in room, hot if you close the window, but noisy if you open the window

Review 94:just one minute walk from JR station

Review 95:It is a large hotel with 2-3 tall buiildings covering almost a whole block. The one that we stayed in,however, had an ugly, stained large carpet in front of the front desk. That should be replaced.

Review 96:We really enjoyed staing in this hotel because of its location, convenience, cleanliness of the room and very kind staff members. The food was excellent too.

Review 97:Hakata no1 is being refitted. The hotel has no carpark but an 'arrangement'. Parking desk not in lobby, drive there for ticket to park elsewhere. Also right above rail tracks. Better hotels nearby.

Review 98:Handy for the station

Review 99:Almost all staffs seem to understand English but cannot talk back to customers fluent enough.

Review 100:Superb location just 1 minute-walk to Hakata station and 3 minutes-walk to Yodobashi Hakata. Free Wifi.

Review 101:Staff do not allow me to store our luggage for more than one day after I check out, where most of other hotels allow. Rooms are too small.

Review 102:Very close to JR Station.

Review 103:some staff cant speak English, not try to speak english to describe what happened to our room why doesnt have cool air come out from the air condition. Then she brought "FAN" for us instead. It was funny. We didn't understand the situation and she brought FAN for us. Finally she asked another staff to describe and he told us that air in every rooms were sent from central air condition so they cant help anything. we have to stay there even the room is hot and not able to open the windows(we tried to open already but cant) Next morning I called my bf(he is Japanese) to talk to them again because we cant be patient to sleep as 1 st night anymore. We are Thai but we feel this HOT. Can u imagine? Then the staff brought the handle to unlock opening the window for us.

Review 104:location is just JR station's next door.

Review 105:5 easy minutes from the station, even if it rains. All you want for a good, quiet night's sleep. Staff very obliging. Coin-laundry available. Japanese breakfast - "Superb". Outside - plenty of Food and/or Drink outlets, some excellent 'Izakaya'. Been there three times and would happily go again.

Review 106:convenient location to JR and underground stations for tourist to travel to Kumamoto, beppu and aso. room is small but still fine because it is so common in Japan.

Review 107:Can't get much better for convenience to the train station in Fukuoka...just a block away. Still remember a very good rest, great breakfast, and kind people. Thanks!

Review 108:Room is super small. And facility is too old. We can exactly hear what happen outside. The bathroom is a bit smelly. Not recommend if your budget is not tight.

Review 109:Close to the railway station.

Review 110:Could do with a facelift; looking a little on the tired side. Very few other issues, though, especially at this value-for-money rate.

Review 111:Great location. Very convenient. Excellent onsen accessible 24/7.

Review 112:The only thing is I had many electronic devices to be charged, the plugs were not enough for me while I stayed.

Review 113:Actually, I really liked most of things here esp. its location ... The staff were so nice and very helpful. The room was clean and so comfortable.

Review 114:Although the breakfast ticket gave three options, including a mixed Japanese and 'western style' buffet in the restaurant in the Annexe across the road, don't expect anything like a full English breakfast, or marmalade.

Review 115:Location, polite staff.

Review 116:The location is very good. Just few minute walk from east gate of Hakata station. The room and facilities are japanese standard (very clean but small, which are common for Hotel in Japan).

Review 117:- Strong airflow from A/C makes it impossible to sleep - Window cannot be opened for some fresh air

Review 118:- location near Hakaa Ekimae - WiFi - Shower

Review 119:Staff had very little English. Very small bathroom, I'm 5ft tall and could almost touch bathroom roof and walls, hands stretched out.

Review 120:Free Wifi worked well. Staff were friendly and helpful. Clean rooms with shiseido toiletries. Great bathroom facilities but small for plus size person, 1min walk to eateries. 3 minutes walk to train station and 5 minutes walk to bus station. Loan umbrella when raining.

Review 121:The time that I checked in lot of Chinese group that so noisy.

Review 122:The location very good but I recommand Green Hotel opposite Green Hotel No.2.It's pay a bit different but the room size n faciliteis in the room lot different.

Review 123:Good location for travel to other cities or other places, it's took only 5 minutes to walk from hotel to Hakata station, and there are plenty of mini marts around the hotel.

Review 124:Tv too small

Review 125:Near to train station, malls and convienient stores. The view is owesome; can see lots of Japan bullet trains in and out from train station.

Review 126:Hotel lobby is a little dated. Front desk staff speaks a little English and appear inflexible. As we were travelling out of Fukuoka for a few days, we thought we could leave our luggage with the hotel and collect it when we are back to Fukuoka (we had done this before at other hotels in Japan). They said they cannot do it and can only hold the luggage for same day only. Luckily we have booked another hotel for our return trip and we brought our bags to the other hotel nearby who gladly took care of our luggage while we away from Fukuoka.

Review 127:Convenient location at East exit of the Hakata station. After the exit, turn left and you should see the green sign of the hotel name. Room is clean and adequate with free wi-fi connection.

Review 128:None

Review 129:Hakata green hotel is located just behind the jr hakata station and bus station. There are lots of shops, convenient stores, restaurants and bars near by. Service is good. All the staff speak good english. Room is small though but japanese rooms are really small. There's wifi in the room. I would definitely come back to hakata green.

Review 130:Room very small, could only just get our two medium size suit cases through the door and no room to open the cases on the floor.

Review 131:Very convenient for Hakata Station.

Review 132:the quilt was a synthetic, which didn't feel nice on the skin. It was a little unclear if the reception was 24 hours (we thought it was, but it wasn't mentioned anywhere). It's not really a friendly hotel (although the staff were great), it's more a business hotel and it felt like that.

Review 133:It was very close to the train station, which was why we booked it. The rooms were quite comfortable, and a reasonable size (we got a triple). Wifi worked well.

Review 134:The triple single bed room was pretty tight.

Review 135:The hotel is right next to the Hakata train station. The location is great! Near 2 convenient stores and many restaurants. We even stayed 1 night in a tatami room which had lots of room for our bags. If your traveling with your family I think the tatami room is the way to go.

Review 136:air con never worked.

Review 137:the staff were helpful, rooms were very clean

Review 138:Room very small

Review 139:Easy to access with Hakata Station

Review 140:Good location The looks is a bit old but inside the room is good

The Fine Print

Vehicle height limit for on-site parking: 160 cmParking space is limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. From JR Hakata Train Station, Tsukushi Exit is nearest to the hotel.
