Reviews for Residenza Palazzo Visdomini

Review 1:Nothing

Review 2:The staff was outstanding, doing everything possible to make our stay memorable. The place seemed like its namesake, a palace. They provided suggestions for restaurants, day trips, even helped get our car upgraded. Arranged a great tour at the marble quarry in Carrera. Our sixth trip to Europe and our best experience yet.

Review 3:Superb location, very helpful host. Very nice spacious suites, good breakfast choice, comfortable bed; good air conditioning and wifi, Pietrasanta is a wonderful town and great restaurants. Would highly recommend location and property

Review 4:The rooms overlooking the garden get a bit noisy at night because of the street behind the garden. Ask for a room on the other side if you want a quiet room.

Review 5:Great service, beautiful room, fantastic tranquil garden, lovely breakfast.

Review 6:Andreo & his assistant were incredibly friendly and helpful. They provided a large breakfast of muesli, yoghurt, meats, cheeses, croissants and excellent coffee. The room was a bedroom and sitting, with balcony, overlooking the main street, which we had asked for. Also a walk in shower.

Review 7:Absolutely nothing

Review 8:From the moment we went through the door we were just knocked out. The decor is a beautiful blend of modern and antique, the staff very friendly, welcoming and attentive, our room was fabulous. The buffet breakfast was better than excellent, and there is the walled garden... It was almost a shame to go outside, but then you would miss Pietrasanta, a jewel in itself.

Review 9:The bathroom was great but would have been even better if a proper shower and curtain had been provided.

Review 10:Very comfortable and only a couple of minutes walk from the main square. Room was spacious and relaxing. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for you. The small pool, whilst very cold, was an added bonus after a long hot day.

Review 11:I highly recommend Palazzo Visdomini; the staff and management including Andreas and his team, and are incredibly kind, hospitable, attentive, generous and helpful; the rooms are charming, comfortable, pretty and well-maintained and the breakfast offered and service is a delight. I can honestly attest that this is the perfect stay for anyone looking for an intimate and quietly elegant stay in Pietrasanta. Location is perfect in town and near all. Wonderful all-around; I look forward to returning in the near future.

Review 12:Everything : the staff courtesy and hospitality, the suite in a well renovated historical building, the garden, the breakfast, the location in Pietrasanta (not too far from Lucca, Pisa and Florence and very close to the see). What else...?

Review 13:There is noise from the street and the shops below the apartment, especially in the evening, but the bedrooms at the back of the apartment are quiet so our sleep was unaffected.

Review 14:The apartment is spacious and very centrally located. It is close to the railway station making it an ideal base for exploring nearby towns and cities like Pisa and Florence. Great care has been taken over the decor of the apartment and little extras, like the vase of flowers on our arrival, were a welcome touch. The apartment was cleaned daily and bedding and towels were changed frequently. Andrea and his colleagues could not have been more friendly and hospitable, often inviting us to have breakfast and aperitifs at their nearby hotel. We were also offered the free use of bikes which allowed us to explore the towns along the seafront, using the cycle-only lane, which is wide and flat and stretches for many miles.

Review 15:location, no kleenex in the bathroom, no glasdoor separation (or shower curtain) between the bathtub and the bathroom, no elevator

Review 16:competence and curtesy of the owner and staff, the beauty of the lounge, b'fast area, B'fast is very nice and ample

Review 17:The hotel is beautiful feels like a'real find' Breakfast is fab and service professional and relaxed

Review 18:The host was great

Review 19:The garden was very attractive and the attention to details well above what you could rightly expect. The breakfast was very good

Review 20:Had our own flat in the city center. Plenty of space and short walking distance to "everything". Cleanliness excellent.

Review 21:Not much

Review 22:Friendly environment approach and staff. Tastefully decorated. Brilliant location.

Review 23:The suite was spacious and elegantly furnished.

Review 24:Fantastic authentic experience

Review 25:We booked a double but were upgraded to a suite. Beautiful building with a walled garden right in the middle of town. Free parking 200 yards away. Incredibly friendly staff. Wonderful

Review 26:Nothing we can think of.

Review 27:A beautiful renovated palazzo where every small detail counts. Even if the pool wasn't tempting for a morning swim, the garden was lovely and cool and well taken care of. The staff was very serviceminded and kind. A lovely place, and we have finished our search for a place to stay in this charming, little town. As far as we are concerned; it can hardly be better.

Review 28:Nothing I can think of.

Review 29:An historic and beautifully renovated pallazo with luxuriously decorated& spacious rooms. Attentive staff. Great location in a terrifictown. Also a small but beautiful Italian garden. Highly recommend.

Review 30:The pool was disapointing, too much chlorine which made my neices skin itch.

Review 31:Attending a wedding in Pietrasanta I had booked the Visdomini more for the location than anything else. What a wonderful surprise to discover that not only is it in a great spot but the Palazzo is a wonderful old building, full of antique furniture, huge rooms full of character and fantastic contempory art. It's like a luxe boutique B&B and that's not something that comes across well from the website (which I think could be updated with images that show off the suites alot better). We had a very warm welcome, the brekfast was substantial (continental) and the walled garden is a lovely place to relax. We didn't know we would need it but were extremely grateful for the air conditioning in the suite: it kept us sane in the very balmy nights! The rates are not cheap, nowhere is in cenral Pietrasanta in August. But it was truely a pleasure to stay there, rather than just being somewhere to stay.

Review 32:The internet system was very frustrating and should be re done immediatley. There is no reason in this day that Wi Fi service should be so difficult to get and so un reliable. This very bad system did cause us to think about moving and unless it is fixed I would have trouble recommending this, otherwise wonderful place. You internet consultant should be fired!!!!

Review 33:the location and the elegance of the old palazzo were both appealing. Good staff friendly and helpful in spite of a very bad internet system.

Review 34:There was no lift

Review 35:Superb location, spacious rooms with beautiful decor. Attentive staff. Quiet and peaceful.

Review 36:Very friendly staff and management, eager to project comfort, warm hospitality and making one feel at home.

Review 37:Lovely accommodation in the town centre, very quiet and private. Close to lots of excellent restaurants.

Review 38:Our stay at the Visdomini was very pleasant, a real home away from home.
