Reviews for Hotel Val de Poix
Review 1:The windows could be better soundproofed. But not that the streets are very noisy
Review 2:The location. At the heart of the Ardennes, this property offers nature and clean air paired with good food and wine. Perfect!
Review 3:Sound-proofing was poor and we had noisy neighbours. The hotel did speak to them though.
Review 4:The staff were all absolutely delightful Great restaurant too!
Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:The area peaceful accessible to great walks around the region. Easy to locate and service willing to accommodate the lack of Flammish language spoken bus us.
Review 7:No wifi nor 4G in the rooms. No shower, only a bath-tub with shower-head you have to hold in your hand.
Review 8:The excellent location: close to the work, in the middle of beautiful forests(oxygen), next to a nice river, quiet. The friendly staff. The cleanliness of the rooms. The space of the rooms. Free wifi in the reception area and restaurant.
Review 9:Not very flexible hours for the restaurant and if you miss them there's no where else nearby to eat.
Review 10:Location, bar and restaurant selection and friendly staff.
Review 11:It's a shame that the hotel doesn't have a lift. We were on the second floor and had to juggle carrying our bags and our 10 month old up the very steep steps.
Review 12:The beautiful location, the cosiness of the hotel, the stunning restaurant. The staff were always on hand and very friendly. We wished we could have stayed longer!
Review 13:The beds weren't particularly comfortable, so the quality of our sleep was not very high. But we weren't particularly bothered by this for a single night's stay.
Review 14:My family and I enjoyed staying in this funky little hotel for a night while visiting the nearby town of Bouillon. The setting was charming. The staff was very warm and welcoming. The restaurant had superb service and top-notch food. Breakfast was included in the room rate. This hotel is a very good value for the money.
Review 15:Unfriendly personnel in the restaurant. Personnel calling at the reception for five minutes when we wanted to check in. Not very clean bathroon
Review 16:Nice hotel and location. Quiet and cosy.
Review 17:after a hailstorm, staff at the reception (including the managers) were not very helpful; only twenty minutes after some rooms were flooded, and all lights went out, did they send a waitress to check how guests were. some rooms in the dependance would need repair (mold in the corners).
Review 18:the location; staff was partly very friendly but it depended on who was at the reception. After a big hail- and thunderstorm, they offered us another room in the main building (where we had electricity and a dry floor).
Review 19:Could do with Electrical sockets in the room to charge phone etc
Review 20:Excellent restraunt and local beer
Review 21:The overall stay
Review 22:very high quality food. lovely setting. unusual furniture with the style carrying over to the very spacious bathroom
Review 23:Not being able to pay on leaving! Still trying to pay!!
Review 24:Restaurant, room, balcony, peace and quiet
Review 25:Room a bit cold and untidy.
Review 26:Local food, good service consedering the gests like peers of their family.
Review 27:Level crossing can be noisy Tight stairs
Review 28:Nice location Good food Nice staff
Review 29:Excellent staff, very eager to please. Nothing was too much trouble. Rooms modern and clean. Food excellent.
Review 30:The room : There were holes in the walls, lamp was broken, other lamp did not work and the handle of the bathroom door was loose, too much small inconveniences in 1 room. There was no wifi inside the room out of range. They were renovating the restaurant this was not mentioned during booking.
Review 31:Location in the woods Friendly people
Review 32:My room was in the adjacent building although I asked for a room in the main building. I was given the excuse that it would be quieter but I think the main hotel was reserved for guests paying the full price. No shower, only a bath. Situated in a very run down village next to a derelict railway building. Restaurant staff unfriendly, prices high and with litle choice.
Review 33:Hotel was OK but expected much better, especially if paying the full price!
Review 34:Nothing.
Review 35:We chose this hotel because of proximity to motorway, and it turned out to be a delightful country location. Charming garden. Excellent bar and bistro, with first rate food. Basic room, but absolutely fine. Nice big shower.
Review 36:Breakfast very badly organised, low capacity of seats in the room where breakfast was served. Restaurant did not propose light meals and meals for children. A small playground for kids would be welcomed.
Review 37:Ladies at the reception were very friendly and helpful. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were cleaned every day.
Review 38:A minor problem caused because my note about my travelling companionbeing disabled didn't get through and we were allocated upstairsrooms. Soon sorted though
Review 39:The staff could not help enough, they went out of their way to make sureour stay went well
Review 40:Unfortunately the restaurant was closed. It would have been nice if at night the lighting outside had been switched on to show the beautiful location on the river and it would have been easier to get to out room through the garden, which we had to find in darkness
Review 43:Service to a visitor is first priority
Review 44:good food
Review 45:No lift!
Review 46:Super staff, it was like a night with old friends, clean spacious and comfortable.
Review 47:the position
Review 48:Breakfast
Review 49:Room, restauarant, setting.
Review 50:I booked through booking.com.The hotel tried to charge me the normal -double- rate. It took some discussions to get the correct rate.
Review 51:friendly helpful staff
