Review 1：The breakfast buffet was OK, but no more. They had a wonderful coffee machine but as it didn't work, we got only poor filter coffee.
Review 2：Nice architecture. Big place. Nice view on the Mekong. We enjoyed the pool in the early morning. It was a nice way of beginning the day.
Review 3：Room service is only available from 1400 hours and is quite expensive. There is not much else available in the way of eating facilities at the hotel. Asian style breakfast was Ok. Western style breakfast, as in English breakfast, needs to be improved. In the evening you can take a taxi or Tuk Tuk to a French themed restaurant called "Chez Boune". It is approximately 2Km away. It serves good western food, including steaks, pasta and pizza.
Review 4：The room was comfortable but fairly basic. The view across the river Mekhong fro the hotel was nice.

Review 6：Nothing to live and everything to dislike. Staff were useless andunfriendly, they knew nothing, never smiled, could not speak any Englishreally, confused by every question you asked them. The breakfast hadants crawling on it and when I pointed it out the staff just smiled. Thelocation was down a poor dirty road. The swimming pool was filthy withinsects inside it all the time and green water. The location was verypoor away from everything. The taxis they supply were ridiculouslyexpensive......300 Baht for a 3 minute journey. The wifi did not workfor 3 days and they did nothing. Room service was 30 minutes although itappeared no other guests were in the hotel. The hotel bar was run downand nobody in it and no entertainment as they said there was. Thehousekeeping came 1 time in 3 days. Despite all of this when I left andgot in the taxi they shouted me back to pay for a bottle of water andcan of coke from the minibar, when I told them that's ridiculousafter having no internet or room cleaned 1 time in 3 days they shouldgive me that they just ignored me. I paid 2,500 baht per night for thisdump and I would recommend nobody go there. It was in a word awful!!!

Review 9：I chose this hotel because it had a swimming pool but it was empty when I arrived then when it was filled the water was green with algae. Everything expensive.

Review 12：In rooms located near the restaurant, the Karaoke can be loud in the evenings, but it is only during reasonable hours and the sound of the A/C usually drowned it out (not a noisy A/C, but produced enough white sound). The music at the pool is also a bit intense-- some more calm music might make the experience more enjoyable (unless, of course, there's a party sort of thing going on).
Review 13：I enjoyed the solitude most. Daosavanh is a quiet, peaceful place to recharge and get some work (or leisure) done. The massage parlor is classy and generous with their time. The pool is nice. If I come back to Savannakhet, I will certainly stay here again.
Review 14：This hotel has no English speaking staff, or indeed staff speaking any western languages, yet it advertises itself on booking websites. Staff are poorly trained and frankly hopeless. Breakfast was terrible. It's the most expensive of all the hotels we stayed in during a two month tour of south east Asia and the worst in terms of service.
Review 15：The pool and location was ok, although too far to walk into centre of town when hot, but hotel gives you a free lift into town but you have to wait sometimes

Totally no privacy at the pool: it seems to be a meeting place for locals. At one time at least 50 locals were watching us swimming! 3. Restaurant: many choice but some food we ordered, was not available. My wife got foodpoison after eating there. 4. We had a leaking sink but the staff didn't fix this.
