Reviews for Hotel Akena La Louviere

Review 5:Nothing
Review 6:The Akena is perfect for an overnight stay, as it's located along side the E42 112 miles form Dunquerke ferry port ,the breakfast was worth paying for as well, the staff are also very attentive. I can highly recommend this Hotel and would not hesitate to use it again.
Review 7:Wifi in the room was very weak, imposible to use. Breakfest very poor, no any vegetables.
Review 8:Good hotel for 1 night staying. Near the main motorway.
Review 9:No hairdryer in the reception, very small rooms.
Review 10:Close to highway, clean, om for one night
Review 11:Quite place, in the outskirts of the town but very Well connected with main streets, clan, private parking, in general very good for business trips.
Review 12:Our twin room is above the entrance where the smokers congregate at all hours of the night. There talking is loud. Hotel is also beside a motorway so is very noisey. There is not a fan or aircon in the room so having the window open is the only option if you want fresh air so you get all the noise as well. If you want to use the nearby Brasserie then be prepared for loads of truckers and not many seats
Review 13:No hairdryer or clock in the room which would be helpful. No A/C which would also be beneficial, as the weather wasn't too hot it was bearable yet it got quite stuffy in the room if the window wasn't open.
Review 14:This was a great hotel, especially for the price. The location was very convenient for a venue in which we were attending a wedding but was not in the middle of a town close to anything, more of an industrial area. Yet there was a restaurant next door that was very good. (Recommend bringing a French-English menu guide though if you're not familiar with the language). We had a triple room that had a bunk bed which our daughter was so excited about and all of the beds were comfortable, clean and a good experience. There was soap available but need to bring your own hair dryer if you need one. Staff were very helpful and friendly and tried to accommodate a late check out as well as had a baby crib already set up in the room upon arrival. We did not try the breakfast as it didn't look like much selection for 7.50Euro so we had a brunch elsewhere. We would stay here again.
Review 15:breakfast could have had a bit more variation, and fresh coffee would have been better
Review 16:basic but appreciable. breakfast could have had a bit more variation, and fresh coffee would have been better, but overall good value for the money
Review 17:The cleanest, modernest, most comfortable and friendliest cheap hotel we have ever slept in. A legtisztább, legmodernebb, legkényelmesebb és legbarátságosabb olcsó hotel, ahol valaha megszálltunk.
Review 18:Restaurant next door was closed (Sunday) which meant we had to drive in to one of the nearby villages for a meal at a restaurant recommended by the hotel receptionist (which was actually an excellent place)
Review 19:We have stopped here in previous years on our drive from Greece to the UK. Location is ideal for the motorway and next door restaurant normally very good.
Review 20:Hotel used far to much scented air freshener in rooms which made it uncomfortable. Would not stay again because of this.
Review 21:The location was central to my stay and staff were friendly.
Review 22:Not really a criticism but the location seemed a bit random - the hotel is on what appeared to be an industrial estate - but very easily accessible from the local road network.
Review 23:Comfortable & clean (the bed was really comfy!), great value for money. Staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast (chargeable extra) was a bit basic but enough to keep you going till the afternoon.
Review 24:No extractor fan in bathroom. Window blind was very transparent whenclosed. Extremely creaky bed. Noisy corridors. No tea and coffeefacilities in room.
Review 25:Powerful shower. Contemporary styling. Free wifi and parking. Flatscreen tv.
Review 26:There is a motorway near of the hotel and you might hear the traffic depending on your rooms location
Review 27:You need a car but in that situation it is quite easy to drive to the close cities.
Review 28:Traffic noise on our side of the building (motorway side) excessive. A room on the other side, away from the motorway may be quieter. Rooms have no air conditioning or fans - can be stuffy. Windows can open, but that lets in more traffic noise.
Review 29:Very clean, modern and comfortable. Good restaurant next door for evening meal & drink. Nice French breakfast. Convenient to motorway.
Review 30:No facilities, machine drinks but reasonable breakfast. Nearest town about 4 klms away.
Review 31:Really close to the motorway for onward journey, good clean rooms.
Review 32:In Britain, we have hot drink making facilities in each bedroom. Which,I've noticed in many of the hotels France/Belgium, don'thave this. It's nice to make a drink on the morning rather thanhaving to go down to the machine in the foyer.
Review 33:I e-mailed the hotel to let them know I would be arriving late. Ireceived an e-mail back quickly from Adrien. Saying my key was with mycolleague who I met in Paris. I was very impressed and it eased my mind.Thank you.
Review 34:The only thing a bit upseting was cigarette smoke smell in the hallways coming form smokers rooms as it felt like there was no sepration between smokers and non-smokers areas. But the room itself was non-smokers and was smelling nicely so it was not a big problem.
Review 35:A really nice hotel just next to the highway. Perfect place to spend the night if you are on a roadtrip. Cheap, clean, friendly and helpfull staff. Has a free parking in front of the hotel and WiFi in the rooms. Good value for the money we paid.
Review 36:I booked a non-smoking room, but got a terribly smelling smoking room. No chance to change the room. Uncomfortable mattress, very basic room. Never again.
Review 37:price / cleanliness / breakfast
Review 38:Very close to motorway. Reception was excellent and staff very helpful. Room clean. Definitely good value for money.
Review 39:Noisy neighbours who thought it was OK to talk loudly in the corridor at 5.30am. Not the hotel's fault I know.
Review 40:pillow two hard !
