Review 1：Food somewhat basic, bathrooms a bit rundown, but good enough for the value of the money and still gets done what's needed.

Review 2：Staff was extremely friendly. Like the idea of not having communication, don't want to have wifi when at an island like this! Redang is a beautiful island. Even though there is need for some improvement and can be a great gem, this is basic and just what one wants to enjoy a secluded holiday. Enjoyed going to different beaches, islands and local restaurants every day. This resort is not to spend at all day, rather great for being based there and exploring the island and surrounds. Buffet breakfast and dinner is basic, but good enough if just needing something to eat, great options for a la carte lunch. Like the fact that rooms are further away from the main building, quiet and peaceful.

Review 3：As we arrived in the room, we noticed that the sheets were really dirty. We asked the reception to change them, and they provided another set of dirty sheets... Basically everything was dirty, the dishes in the room, the dishes for breakfast as well. The rooms are not soundproof, which is nice when you hear the rain in the forest, but not nice when other guests are noisy... There is no wifi in the room, only at the reception lobby and we had to ask everyday for having it reboot because it wasn't working. On the last day, they drop us for a trek and were supposed to pick us up on the other side of the island at 2pm by boat to take us to the afternoon snorkelling activity. We waited, we finally manage to get on the phone the reception and they told us that a boat was coming for us. Unfortunately nobody came either. We waited 2 hours and had to pay hundreds of ringgits to another company to come back to the resort. The resort told us they were sorry but didn't seem to care at all, which reflected perfectly the impression we have had during this 4 days weekend.

Extremely pleasant staff, value for money and they truly made the honeymoon such a memorable experience, not to mention hardly being calculative, and mostly accommodating to all our needs.thank you...!!

Much better off staying on the main beach because options aren't so limited and you aren't stranded when there is a storm. Very limited wifi (good and bad :))

Support your local artists & improve the look and feel of a tired property that feels like it is still clinging to the eighties. The 1980's.

Review 20：I've lived/traveled extensively throughout Asia, and this was byfar the worst accommodation experience I've ever had. The previousreviews were mediocre, and my friends and I only stayed here as weplanned this trip last minute and all other accommodation options werebooked. The major areas that the resort was lacking are included below:Unhelpful & unfriendly of Staff-We've never encountered staff this unfriendly at any place i’ve ever stayed in Asia- We had to repeat questions/requests 2-3x with hotel staff, and frequently employees gave us different information, or claimed not to know what their own policies were- After we checked in, we couldn't locate our suitcases for a while, and it turned out that the resort shuttle drove off with our suitcases to pick up another set of passengers without telling usStinginess with Room Amenities- We paid to have an extra bed in our room as we were a group of three. Although we were paying extra, the hotel staff would not give extra towels or soap, no hand towels, nor would they give us a third water bottle, claiming a "2 water bottle per room policy"-Room floor was sandy/dirty on arrival-Bathroom showerheads were broken and fell off, and were not repairedTransportation Issues- Redang island is only accessible from a handful of ferry jetty's, and local ferry's only operate at a couple of times throughout the day (last time is at 3:30). When we were coordinating our arrival to the resort, the staff incorrectly told us that there was a 5 pm ferry time. Only after arriving at the jetty did we realize that there was no 5 pm ferry, and we had to pay 3x to charter a private boat so we could get to the resort. During the entire process of figuring out last minute transportation, the resort was unapologetic about their mistake, and refused to compensate us for our more expensive transportation.

Review 22：The location, is 3 km away from the main beach and in the island a part from there is not a lot of options of restaurant. So if you like to stay a lot in the resort is perfect.

Review 32：This resort is isolated above the hill, no beach, no public restaurant/shops. Only dine-in at hotel restaurant. We had to take boats to go to the beach areas. Towels provided are old ones.

Review 38：The resort is far from the main beach. Most things like ferry services especially is not included in it's package and the cost of your stay will shoot up a lot higher than expected. Better to get a resort that is at the main Long Beach or Pantai Pasir Panjang where everything is all there. Most of the recreation provided by Redang Island Resort is just not worth the money especially the Long Beach Trip which cost about RM45 per person where if you stay at a resort at Long Beach itself, you don't have to waste your money for boat service. I rate this resort 1.5 out of 5 stars!

Apparently was cheated the resort is located at another jetty which differs from long beach (laguna there) and there's no beach no sand but if you were to go out to the beaches everything will be counted.

No alcohol other than beer.this is a Moslem hotel...unsuitable to westerners . Shuttle was late. Insufficient activities,village unsafe for westerners to eat in.

Review 57：Bad location is the main drawback of Redang Island Resort, which is very poorly connected with the nearest beach 3 km from the resort and isolated from all the other resorts on the other side of Redang island. Shower was cold, towels and bedsheets were provided only after repeated requesting. Recreation activities (e.g. snorkeling) organized by the staff were overpriced, as were food and beverages at the resort restaurant. I would strongly recommend considering Redang Island Resort only as last option of staying on the island.

Review 59：The resort is nicely integrated to the environment, it has a nice little private beach and swimming pool. They organize many tours so it's easy to go explore the wonderful places that this island has to offer!

Review 60：We preferred to eat away from the resort when we had the bike. Their food was okay but we prefer more authentic cuisine and are not huge buffet fans. However Redang doesn't have many restaurants available, and most guests tend to eat at the resorts they stay at. Parts of the resort could do with a little maintenance such as the gym. However the landscape is beautiful and you will feel close to nature here.

Review 61：Redang island resort is away from the bulk of the resorts on the island, which was appealing to us as it was a bit more natural and less touristic. We hired a motorbike and visited the public beach each day which few people visit and you often have to yourself. Hiring the bike allowed us to seek out some more authentic Malaysian cuisine too which was good. The staff were kind and the chalets comfortable.

Review 62：Location is on the other side of the island and you can't go by foot or by car only by ferry and you have to pay for it. The massage on hotel was very poor! They don't know how to do it. The choice of food of hotels restaurant was very limited.

Review 67：I've been there twice. This Hotel has a unique location as it's the only hotel on the south site of Redang. A trip to the Marine Park, where snorkling is awesome, is already included. This Hotel improved a lot during the two month I've been absent. First time I've been there as a couple, second time as a family. For all a definetly recommendation!

Review 123：Wasted 1 day at Redang Island Resort. Seaview means can only view the sea from far. The resort only have 50m beach (I wont call it a beach though since it's rocky and dirty and creepy) and you'll have to walk down to reach the "beach". To enjoy a long nice beach, have to take a boat chargeable at RM45 per pax. Hence we stayed there for 1 night only (since we have already paid). we called another resort and took a boat as early as 930am the next day (special arrangement made by the other resort ie Sari Pacifica Resort and Spa - definitely recommend this resort!).

Review 124：The breakfast is always the same, but the main menu always changing for 1 to 2 days but everything else is same. The TV remote in our chalet is missing, shockingly there's a leak from the aircond hose placed on ceiling and we need to turn off the aircond so it stop leaking. The balcony's light is burnt, wont turn on.

Review 135：It is one of the cheapest resort on the island, but a very good one. Although facilities (games room, bikes...) are not well maintened. Rooms are really nice, with a beautiful view and a small private beach. The area is peacefull (there are no party like on long beach), and just ask to their drivers to be transported elsewhere on the island. The snorkeling tour along the west cost was amazing.
