Reviews for Sehatty Resort
Review 1:The pool might require some update.
Review 2:The location is perfect for visiting the close by tourist sites: Hot Springs, Mount Nebo, Madaba, the Baptism site, Dead Sea itself. The staff is exceptionally friendly, helpful and generous. Amazing, one of a kind view at the Dead Sea from the elevated over the sea stunning modern villa. The pool water is from the natural hot spring source, very warm in a good sport size pool. We were very positively impressed by the value for money, the panoramic views of the sunset and had a great time.
Review 3:Nothing that was under their control and they didn't manage
Review 4:Loved the hot spring swimming pool. So much so that we actually came back for it on our last day in Jordan. The owner was very warm. The location is so well marked that it would take an effort to miss it! The Dead Sea beach is a bit of a drive away but don't be disappointed, your stay will be worth it.
Review 5:The property is very poorly located and not within the hotel zone of the Dead Sea. For those without their own transport no free shuttle service is available and we were required to pay a member of staff to transport us to the hotel from the Dead Sea, The breakfast was very basic for the additional cost served and there was no dinner service - which is problematic when you are not near the hotel zone and have no transport. Be careful of the stray cats jumping on your breakfast table and the loud music played by the staff into the evening.
Review 6:Very beautiful views of the Dead Sea
Review 7:Most people bring there own foods and bbq. But the staf take care it you didn't, as we did. Very friendly.
Review 8:The view over the death sea, incl swimming pool.
Review 9:We paid for a good room but were put in a tiny one with no curtains, no towels and broken no shower head. The outdoor pool is hot. We ordered very expensive pizza for dinner which ended up being a frozen pizza with the cardboard still attached. A lot of staff spoke no english.
Review 10:The hotel was over priced and staff were very unprofessional. They played loud music while guests were trying to sleep and staff had their friends over watching soccer games. Staff also opened the doors to our room without knocking while guests were trying to sleep and shower. The hotel was run down but could have potential if it was spruced up or more tLC.
Review 11:We liked the location...and that's about it.
Review 12:There is no direct access to Dead sea and the hotel is a bit furtherfrom the "action". There are not a lot of selections of foodon the menu and rather expensive compared to what you get. During ourstay there was a bush fire outside very near, the hotel was fine but atsome moments it was no clear - we would have expected more properinformation from the hotel management. There was also an Eid party withvery very loud music. I would just suggest that customers that do notcelebrate Eid should avoid this holiday for their own convenience.
Review 13:The view from the hotel is amazing and a very calm environment. Thestaff is rather friendly. Inside and outside pool, however very hot dueto spring water.
Review 14:The rooms are rooms not villas. Music was played loudly in the courtyard while most guests were trying to sleep. Seemed expensive for what you got.
Review 15:Nice view from the hillside.
Review 16:Lack of cleanliness loud music close to rooms .Staff tried to put us in a double when we booked a triple. Nothing to eat. No room telephone. No WiFi.
Review 17:View of dead sea
Review 18:They went out of their way to help me - even driving m, down to the most popular spot on the Dead Sea at 5am for a swim before I had to go to the airport!
Review 19:Rubbish outside the property including their own construction materials which spoilt an otherwise good view. Lack of functioning power points indicating lack of general maintenance.
Review 20:Thermal Pools Helpful staff given that it was Ramadan.
Review 21:No WiFi. Few english speaking staff. Poor food and we were waiting forever for dinner to be served. Would recommend staying there if on a budget but eating out and spending the daytime out and about
Review 22:Nice view of the dead sea and sunset. Very affordable. Good sized rooms and has 2 pools, one of which has natural spring water.
Review 23:Lovely location, beautiful naturally heated fresh water pool and kind staff. Would benefit from a better meal menu and breakfast offering. Provided we were visiting in the off peak season!
Review 24:There is not much to do. Breakfast is niet served. It's in the middle of nowhere and way too expensive for what you get. If you want to float in the dead sea and visit wadi mujib (before 3pm) make it a day Tour from Amman or Madaba and go back to your hotel at the end of the day.
Review 25:The owner was very friendly and the room was clean
Review 26:More signs at the highway are needed especially from the south. We lost 1 hour finding this small street!!!!!!!!!!!
Review 27:Great view on the Dead Sea, good service, and upgrade for free.
Review 28:The restaurant is limited and the service was indifferent or overtaxed. While the shwarmas we ordered were delicious and generous in portions, the dirty dishes sat and sat until we finally put them on a nearby table (which their cats then feasted on and waitstaff passed by and ignored; we finally brought the dirty dishes to them!). The wifi was very weak, despite having tried two different routers. The electricity went off multiple times.
Review 29:Location, b/c other options were expensive resorts. I liked that we were their off season and that it seemed geared toward Jordanians coming down from Amman for the weekend. I look the hot mineral spring pools.
Review 30:We arrived to this hotel late at night. No one was there to open gate for us. After about half an hour trying to get attention and calling, person who did not speak word of English open the gate and let us in. Hotel was under construction, but no one has informed us about it. Cleanest of the place was not great, wifi did not work, staff barley spoke English and we had to wait 2hrs for manager on our day of departure. When I start complaining he said they had some other event in capital city and they forgot about our booking.... :( well I will never stay there again!
Review 31:We had an incredible time staying here. The owner is such a sweet man, we enjoyed conversation with him over dinner. The hotel is one of the only green hotels in the Middle East. They get their water from the hot springs nearby, it's all natural. A fabulous experience, I would recommend it to anyone!
Review 32:The indication on the advertising street panel to find the hotel
Review 33:Helpful and friendness staff High quality of the site (swimming pool, view, terrace) Very modern and comfortable bed with everythings (hot water, A/C, good mattress, fast internet connection, etc...) Free upgrade (we got the sublime family suite)
Review 34:Evening menu needs reconsidering (small and a little pricey but nice fresh salad). Need a car ride to the sea which was costly. No alcohol (understandable but needs considering for westerners).
Review 35:Spring pools and their views. Views from balcony. Great service from staff. Lovely upgraded villa. Lovely, peaceful location.
Review 36:The menue is very selective, only barbecue, Pizza or burger but you can bring your own food. If a party is going in it can be heard in the rooms but otherwise it is nice and calm. Some minor details lack the last touch in the finish. I.e. cables attached by sticky Type.
Review 37:The staff is extremely helpfull and nice. The owner of the family Run business himself showed us arround. The architecture of the hotel ensemble is designed arround a very nice, open, central terrace with an impressive view of the dead sea. It can be used all day long and for dinner and also for parties and alike. The whole hotel is energy autarc, using a hot spring for hot water and the pool as well as photovoltaik panels for electricity. The house is build on the local rocks, which can be seen in the lower level. The hot spring pool is great and hot :-) You can bring your own food and drinks (including alcoholic drinks). A little shop on the premisses offers some basic supplies.
Review 38:the location of the hotel is extremely hard to find and it is in the middle of a mountain, there are no supermarkets near by the food provided by the hotel is expensive and hard to eat the spring water room is dirty room rate is expensive
Review 39:the spring water and dead sea view
Review 40:location is a little bit far to the dead sea, and without private beach.
Review 41:the staff is extremely helpful and friendly, they helped us to communicate with our taxi driver who can not speak English, and the manager took us to a quiet beach of dead sea, gave us a special experience. and a spring pool in the hotel, pity that we didnt have enough time for it.
Review 42:The resort need some improvements such as cold pool, wide parking, more secure system around the resort.
Review 43:I found the place very calm and version, the view is extremely incredible . The staff is polite and helpful
Review 44:the owner was very nice , helpfull, courteous, the swimming poll have a hot natural water and this is amazing.
Review 45:not close to beach. no facilities. no wifi in rooms
Review 46:staff were friendly
Review 47:Free transfer from highway to hotel. Comfortable transfer to airport.
Review 48:Too expensive, everything
Review 49:Hot springs
Review 50:The manager of the hotel one of the best services that I ever have. I would totally recommend this hotel
Review 51:Staffs are nice and helpful, the view from the room was awesome and the hot spring pool outside was amazing!!
Review 52:cant cook
Review 53:deadsea view clear room good service
Review 54:Nice Location, Swimming Pool with Hot Spring Water Away from city on hill station. Dance floor, Facility for BBQ.
Review 55:Location, hot spring water. Staff was very friendly
Review 56:Nothing really.
Review 57:The stuff was very helpful and flexible. I liked a lot the fact that the hotel is very environmentally friendly and the huge plus is the pool. 25m indoor and outdoor, with warm water directly taken from the spring! Sunset view from the pool is simply priceless.
Review 58:Not easy to find 'Reception'. Rooms not cleaned and ready when we arrived late afternoon. Rubbish thrown over the wall in front of the pool. Cats stalking our meal, incessantly mewing while we were dining outdoors.
Review 59:Fantastic views across the Dead Sea to Palestine, big swimming pools naturally heated by thermal spring, generous meals, spacious rooms, beautiful outdoors dining area, good aircon in rooms.
Review 60:Most of the staff working there are not proper to communicate with customers. I had the difficulties to talk to the staff.
Review 61:It was a kind of green hotel, which means it needs no power source from the grid and also there weren't any pumps to deliver water that people need.
Review 62:When we arrived at the hotel the room was not clean and full of flies. We had a shower and the bathroom became a small pond...We then asked thestaff to take us to the beach and they charged us additional 10 J.D.(the distance to the beach from the hotel is only 5 minutes drive). Theytook us to a resort which charged another 20 jd per person. That meansif you are a famly of 4 people and you want to go to the beach, stayingin this hotel it will cost another 90 jd per day (almost gbp 90). For anhotel sorrounded by military sites, not clean and far from thebeach..definetly worth looking elsewhere....Best recommendation visitthe dead sea from Israel....much much better...
Review 63:I couldn't get connected to wifi. 16% VAT was added on top of the final price agreed on booking.com
Review 64:The owner/host was brilliant. He takes personal attention in meeting everyone and making sure they are comfortable. The resort has a hot spring swimming pool and which is what you want after floating on the dead sea. The resort is further up on the mountain, and the views of dead sea and Israel are brilliant.
Review 65:This is not a resort, it is a guest house. the pools were small, the outdoor pool was dirty, we were not allowed to enter the indoor pool, because there were conservative girls swimming and screaming out not to let any man inside. Food was poor, one employee was doing everything: preparing the room, taking food order, serving food on a dirty table. we had to leave after 2 hours from arriving because of the construction inside the location, and ofcourse everything else I mentioned above.
Review 66:Nothing
Review 67:Wifi was available only at night, in the morning the router was gone. I had asked to have breakfast at 8 but nobody showed up at the requested time. I waited 30 minutes then I had to leave the hotel. Luckily I had purchased some bread in a shop the day before because around the hotel there is basically nothing. Dinner was nice but they overcharged me a little bit. Price list was not available, therefore I had to order my supper without knowing the final price until it was time to pay.
Review 68:Nicely located on the top of a hill from which you can admire a fantastic sunset over the Dead Sea while having dinner on the terrace. Nice swimming pool!
Review 69:The hotwater pools are too hot at this time of the year. You need to have transport.
Review 70:Amazing view. Very flexible and friendly staff. Some problems with the facilities but solved in a good way!
Review 71:The breakfast was not matched what we've expected. The final touches for the rooms needs to be improved.
Review 72:Water is from hot spring so it's great. The pools is warm and good for the health. They are using solar power for the electricity. The sunset view is wonderful from the hotel. The villa is big enough for 2 families. Our children really enjoyed the time at the hotel. The manager was very friendly and helpful.
Review 73:Serious flaws in the architecture such as poorly designed pool and room doors that open to full views of the rooms.
Review 74:Great location. Amazing View. Friendly, Efficient staff. Family atmosphere. Spacious, clean rooms. Activities for kids. Spring-water swimming pools
Review 75:slow response of the staff, not very well organized, the place has seen better days.
Review 76:location is good, value for money for the dead sea region good, but not compared to other places in Jordan
Review 77:Much construction work still going on - noisy and not terribly clean. No towels were offered, no cups for making tea/coffee - but there were coffee making facilities. Poor design and poor standard of finish in the property. Example: grouting on tiles was poor, few power points to plug into and they were not well located. bedside lamp with nowhere to plug in - television with no signal connection. I will not go back, even with the great view.
Review 78:Fabulous location overlooking the Dead Sea. The sheets were clean and the bed firm.
Review 79:small rooms, far from stores and supermarkets. the food was terrible. we paid extra money for dinner [because we had no other options] and it wasn't worth the price.. very small dish with bad taste.
Review 80:friendly staff, nice view, close to the Dead sea
Review 81:Nothing much
Review 82:The staff members were all so genuine, respectful, and friendly . When there was a concern, the staff were always there to help, even during the late night. They really take care of you like you can feel you are at home . Eating breakfast in the balcony of the hotel room was so nice. Ocean view with nice wind.
Review 83:This Hotel is a hidden gem that is alone the shores of Dead Sea. The views are spectacular and the owner and his staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a good price and location this is the resort. The pool is fed by a natural hot spring. The villa has a unfurnished kitchen, but the staff will provide bowls, glasses, etc. upon request.
Review 84:Difficult to get there without transport. Relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Seems to be run as a function centre sometimes
Review 85:Lovely warm pool with views over the dead sea. Room had balcony overlooking sea. Good breakfast which you take in the room
Review 86:Would be good for the website to include instructions on how to find it as the location is not obvious.
Review 87:Friendly helpful staff, good facilities, pleasant location, clean well fitted out room. I was very happy with my stay.
Review 88:the distance to the dead sea beach. but this can be overcome by hiring the resort car for 10JD
Review 89:We liked the hospitality as well as the upgrading. Far better than Kempinski or any five star hotel. the best part were the following:- hospitality, rooms, facilities, swimming pools, picturesque snap and view. My children and spouse were overwhelmed by the resort. I strongly recommend this hotel/resort to those who want to be at leisure and have plenty of time to spent.
Review 90:We were 2 sisters, driving from aqaba to the hotel in dead sea . Hotel staff was very helpful , Theey called us many times for helping . They upgraded us to villa with tow bed rooms having panoramic view of dead sea ,Zara green area looking on jerusalem mountains the villa was very comfortable having every thing we need. Swimming pools(in door ,out door, and children) have direct water from hot spring . Free of chemicals ,naturally, safe, and clean. Panoramic view of the dead sea and Jerusalem was amazing. Reply it is a place for relaxation , enjoying. The air having the maximum amount of oxygen in the world. Restaurant has special meals B.B ,pizza, pasta, and many of the meals. We would recommend this resort for those who are looking for relaxation.
Review 91:I dont really knwo what to write here, but if I absolutely have to mention something, then it would be the menu...It's very limited for the vegetarians...But, what ever they served was amazing and we had our best breakfast in Jordan in Sehatty!
Review 92:We were 3 Single ladies driving from Petra...The hotel staff were very kind and they called us a couple of times to enquire if we were fine and if we needed any assistance. We were exhausted when we reached, and our room was instantly upgraded to ensure maximum comfort...The swimming pool has direct water from the hot springs and so does the shower...And the panaromic view of the dead sea and Jerusalem from the resort is truly rejuvinating... I would anyday recommend this resort over the commecialized 4 & 5 stars such as MovinPick/ Crown Plaza/ Hilton
Review 93:Toilets, sinks and showers were dirty. Floors had not been swept in a long time and there were dead flies all over the villa. Broken glass and cigarette butts in common areas. Restaurant area also dirty. Very poor quality meals from the "restaurant", including frozen packaged pizza. Owner could not work credit card machine for payment. This place has potential but it requires some serious cleaning and maintenance.
Review 94:Amazing view of the Dead Sea, hot spring pool, big villa
Review 95:I am sure in its day it was a wonderful resort however it is now showing signs of disrepair. The villa itself is wonderful. We were the only people staying there The pools are from the heated spring water It really needs a re fit back to its original pictures.
Review 96:The staff tried very hard to please us and were very kind and helpful The villa was huge over 2 floors very clean and well cared for
Review 97:The menu is very limited especially for vegetarians but they did their best.
Review 98:The owner, Mohammed, was very helpful and keen to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. We upgraded to a villa for a reasonable price. The view over the Dead Sea and across to Israel is beautiful. The remoteness of the resort really suited us. The indoor and outdoor pools are fed by the nearby hot springs at Ma'in and are excellent.
Review 99:Staff left before i had a chance to order dinner. Bed sheets had not been changed prior to my arrival. No breakfast was available in the morning and i hed to phone the hotel owner for the gates to be opened so i could leave. Very poor standard of service
Review 100:Hot spa swimming pools are very good
Review 101:- Not clean enough, dusty. - The friendly staff seemed flustered with our presence: we felt they are not prepared to receive international guests. - They kindly asked us to not go to the swimming pool area in the first afternoon, because muslim guests were there. We respect and admire their culture/religion and appreciate the staff's effort to make our stay better but despite being in a different country, we hope that the hotel is an 'international' area, where we can relax with no worries. This was not an issue as they upgraded us to a huge apartment, so we didn't use the common areas.
Review 102:- We booked a room and got an upgrade for a 3-floor apartment, with 3 bedrooms, kitchen, living, terrace and 2 baths. Very comfortable! - Amazing view of dead sea from rooms and terrace. - The staff is friendly, and helped on arranging a driver to take us to Petra. - Mind that you'll need a car to go to the beach, but the hotel can arrange you a taxi.
Review 103:Bad quality of the beds, bathroom not clean, room seems not finished, very bad sound isulation
Review 104:Very nice view on Dead Sea, very plesant outside hot swimming pool, kindness of the staff
Review 105:people who come naturally to such kinds of hotels, suffers so many pains in their body, which makes it important to give more attention to the kind mattress, to be solid.
Review 106:I liked so much the temperature of pool water, the water is too natural and very good for the body, the hotel afford so many areas and facilities around the hotel, and don't make so restrictions regarding food, that make you felt at home
Review 107:There was no Jacuzzi in the Villa, the manager said it's available only in one villa! The swimming pool was too warm to swim which I know it's not healthy for the body, and it wasn't chlorinated! The bathrooms were not clean, there was some stains on the sink, and the shower box doesn’t drain water well. It’s a disaster, not a hotel
Review 108:Far from Beach
Review 109:Spring Pool
Review 110:This place is under construction. Lots of building materials, insects, cockroaches, no cleanliness at all total mess!
Review 111:Nothing good at all
Review 112:There were no towels in the room. We did get them upon request
Review 113:Helpful and very friendly staff
Review 114:Extremly friendly staff that helped in any way. Extremely cool location and view over the Dead Sea. Hidden paradise with it's own hit water pool!
Review 115:didn't service room, locals took over in weekend made us feel uncomfortable and confined to room. No menu offered
Review 116:View
Review 117:The staff is not very efficient.
Review 118:Very nice location and affordable (compared to the rest of hotels on the dead sea). Friendly owner.
Review 119:The staffs there are very nice and helpful. The view is perfect.
