Reviews for Ma'in Hot Springs

Review 1:Nothing really, very little to complain....maybe make the road to it much wider perhaps, but this doesn't fall under their jurisdiction.

Review 2:I loved the place, the people, the ambiance, the history, the hygiene, the exotic mature of the Oasis, the healthy water....I will go there every weekend if I can!

Review 3:The staff is just superb, they read our wishes from our eyes :-). The winter season was good - the spring water was not too hot since the air was cool. Good location to go for a day trip and dinner to Madaba. Ideal for a nice weekend trip from Palestine.

Review 4:Balcony door did not close so room was noisey, pool was dirty, outdated, poorly maintained, Hotel is very expensive and is definitely not a 5 star hotel as advertised. Save your money and stay at any 5 star hotel on the Dead Sea and then drive up to Ma'in spring for the day and utilities the public hot spring pool for 6 JOD pp. This hotel is more realistically a 2 to 3 star hotel at best.

Review 5:Nothing.

Review 6:The quality of the food would rate at 4 star with various aspects slightly above or below that rating. There were a few teething problems related to the management change but only minor.

Review 7:The staff were most attentive and the location and setting is magnificent. The rooms are very well designed.

Review 8:Only that we didn't book longer!

Review 9:Stunning location, beautifully designed hotel which complimented the environment. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved the library/reading room and the pool. Only stayed one night, wished we had booked longer so we could have explored more and tried the spa.

Review 10:---

Review 11:Very friendly staff - simple but really well prepared buffet for breakfast and dinner with flavors as home made treats, excellently completed the astonishing scenery and the cozy wood interior design of the hotel. Highlight, of course, late evening swim under the moonlight, at the pool with the hot springs waters ....

Review 12:some minor lack of cleaning, glass of local vine cost too high (10 JD), stuff on the pool should be more unnoticable

Review 13:hotel design., furnishing, hot water pool, surrounding nature, best for relaxation and rest, wonderful library, strong internet all over, chess game in each room and many other places is perfect, kindness of the stuff

Review 14:No fire place on terraces in winter-would be awesome

Review 15:Hot thermal water pool Natural setting by waterfall Details in hotel design Integration into the environment Breakfast

Review 16:It is a shame there are not more visitors and some of the exterior areas showed signs of being abandoned. I hope tourism picks up. This hotel deserves visitors and we will be back.

Review 17:The location is spectacular and the hot water pool wonderful. The bar meal was excellent as was the red Jordanian wine. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the bathroom very large. The balcony with the view was lovely. Service was excellent.

Review 18:Food was a little pricey but it was really good, so I didn't mind.

Review 19:Gorgeous hotel, incredible location and fantastic views. Great staff that could not do more for you. Really comfortable bed, everything spotlessly clean.

Review 20:We had to ask to change room because they have a conference room on the first level that is an eyesore and it took most of our view; so ask for a room on a higher floor. Wifi connection was extremely poor, specially in the bedrooms.

Review 21:Beautiful decor. It was a great experience to eat breakfast next to a hot spring. The spa is expensive but it was one of the best massages I have ever tried. Staff is very polite. Wonderful location in between mountains.

Review 22:Some smelling bad in the bathroom And the excréments of the birds on the terrace

Review 23:The situation in wilderness and the calm and the restaurant is fantastic

Review 24:The room, furniture and some amenities like the pool need an upgrade. If you wanted to use the waterfall at the spa you have to pay for it, not what I expected considering the price of the room :-(

Review 25:The location in the valley was breathe taking, could not asked for a better location.

Review 26:very expensive cold pool very dirty toilets by the warm pool are dirty inside i paid full amount before check in, after check out , the man asked me to pay 2.75 JD for no reason, which was not nice , their tax and service charge is already way higher then other hotels (26%), so this small amount that he made me pay at the end, left a bitter memory..

Review 27:the hot springs that run into the pool the views amazing breakfast- 5 star the manager let us use one of the pools that are away from the hotel area ( in the spa building) because there was too many kids in the pool, which was VERY KIND of him . thank you for that

Review 28:Got different info from different staff members for almost everything. Some staff fantastic some couldn't be bothered. Very unusual.

Review 29:Lovely hotel in great location

Review 30:- Swimming pools are small, not really clean, and need clear swimming policy. besides you need to go to the SPA in order to enjoy the waterfall directly - The A/C was not working properly until we called the maintenance - Prices are relatively high

Review 31:- The room location and view, the breakfast buffet diversity and quality - Staff and Service

Review 32:Overall, I would recommend this hotel. We only stayed one night, went to the spa and hanged by the natural pools and hot springs, and that was ok. If you are looking for a lot of action and activities this will not be for you. To relax after two long days in Petra (our case), it was just what we needed. Hotel facilities close rather early and most guests are couples.

Review 33:The hotel is gorgeous and the views are amazing, definitely worth a go if only for the spa. The spa is pricey, but exquisite. Had one of the best massages I ever had and the natural pool and hot springs to relax after the massage are a must see. The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and the shower is so good you don't want to leave.

Review 34:Given the prices that are charged the hotel should review their amenities - lights and safe were not working in my room. Also the entrance to the spa area is not included in the already exorbitant price of the hotel! The public hot springs nearby are nice but there are mainly only men.

Review 35:The place is really beautiful and the hot water soring are an incredible experience

Review 36:but facilities are closed after5 pm like swimming pool .no guid line or good information on hotel facilities hot swimming pool are dirty with sleeves and .hand reel are rusted . kids cant enjoy playing as thier is no activity for them

Review 37:hot water are very nice .

Review 38:The staff are friendly all try really hard, but are sometimes nor well trained and a little disorganised.

Review 39:Wonderful location, the spa and its waterfall are a particular highlight.

Review 40:During breakfast the staff started to clean up half an hour before the official breakfast time was over., and items were already being removed from the buffet. It was a very disturbing experience , especially in contrast to the really good experience before.

Review 41:The location of the hotel is breathtaking. The hotel is very well designed to provide an atmosphere of a sanctuary. It even has a library! Staff is very well-trained and empathic for visitors needs.

Review 42:the bathrooms need a little more flushing from time to time when the rooms are empty ,, the pool needs more cleaning and beverages at the hotel are extremely expensive its rediculous

Review 43:amazing location ,, the waterfall is incredible at night ,, rooms look great and the beds are so comfy , staff are really friendly

Review 44:Everything was amazing! The service was not expected to be like this at all plus cleanliness , just wow! The hotel is not like any typical hotel. The view the staff, overall it's undescribable! Visiting ma'in hot springs and staying at Evason is a must

Review 45:Swimming pool closed at five !!!!! Although there is no thing to do ??? Shisha stop at 23:00 why !! This is the season !! Employ temporary staff Very expensive food and room rate that s why it is empty

Review 46:Furniture

Review 47:Very bad swimming pools and far away from the hotel also not clean Also the open Buffet for the dinner was very bad and low quality.

Review 48:The place and the location of the hotel

Review 49:Spa was really below our expectation 6th sense spa). Not clean, not well maintained at all. Massage was average Resort is aging (rooms still OK but common areas need to be refreshed!) Breakfast & meals: could have been better (quality & choices)

Review 50:Location is just amazing! Like a jewel!

Review 51:it is not value for money, everything is overpriced and completely neglected. It must have been a great place in 2010 but not anymore! I would not suggest going there

Review 52:the room and breakfast

Review 53:The facilities at the cold pool are in a very bad condition. It has to be fixed now as it definitely doesn't deserve any stars to the hotel.

Review 54:The location is great

Review 55:In the spa area, the women's section (female waterwall) is really not well maintained and unpleasant.

Review 56:The hotel was great and not too crowded end of May. Perfect weather and enjoyable weekend.

Review 57:Since hotel is far from everything, it overcharges a lot for food. Service was slow and there was a lot of confusion in both check-in and check. Overall, overpriced.

Review 58:Breakfast was delicious, room was comfortable, staff was polite, pools are great, location is quiet and removed, view of waterfall is great.

Review 59:Everything was perfect, I slept like a baby ! The hotel has been renovated with great taste and the atmosphere is delightful. I will go back again without hesitation and strongly recommend it to my friends!

Review 60:the pools are very dirty and the stuff has no experience and the food extremely expensive and the room are rally bad

Review 61:i like the location itself only and the nature of it

Review 62:One of the pools had the music way too loud for the type of hotel-Spa this is. At the spa, a group of 10 men was making a lot of noise, disrupting the relaxing experience we paid for. The taxes charged to all services in general, made the experience more expensive than the service received.

Review 63:Prices, check out on booking is between 12:00 and 13:00 but when we asked they told us to leave at 12:00 because its weekend, when we arrived the main pool was under maintenance for cleaning so they give us access to six senses spa waterfall which was nice. The way between room and elavaters the carpet is so dirty like spot of oils, mini bar was empty, safe box was not mounted in the cabet so you can carry it with you then what's the point of it :)

Review 64:Location and the view are amazing, it was quite and peaceful, stuff are friendly

Review 65:It would be great to consider a minimum age for the thermal pool. Also, to consider a solution to fly insects away from around the pool side.

Review 66:Welcoming and helpful staff

Review 67:The only thing i didnt like and majority agree upon was the over priced menu of hotel resturants.. much over priced. Though the fact the food was tasty and there was a nice variety, its value gets lost when u see the bill due to the over rated prices. And wish to make the use of the spa fall free to hotel residents. Yet after my return i knew its open for free only on saturdays but dont know for sure if thats true. It will be nice if it is.

Review 68:Excellent choice of location as u feel u r in the middle of no where, the staff were helpful and welcoming, special thanks to the fornt office manager Ameed Abbasi as there was a special request to mark a birthday and he offered much more than expected with excellent follow up and for a complementary cost which showed real proffessionality and desire to establish a family atmosphere with visitors. The spa experience was great and special thanks to therapist sondos jboori who also provided a proffessional great service and an amazing attitude that added a smile whenever i remember the place, the pool manager also showed a genuine jordanian hospitality, workers at the resturants were welcoming and helpful and trying to manage under pressure. food was tasty, bedroom was comfy, the library place and game room was a unique addition allas i didnt have time to try them though they seem inviting. The bus shuttle between the hotel and spa being available was a thoughtful nice move from the hotel

Review 69:-Ignorance of employees about the facilities of the hotel. -Over priced Buffet which exceeded Room Service Prices!! -Over Priced Spa Treatments

Review 70:Quietness, Cleanliness

Review 71:Ordering food is way too expensive for what you get and we tried calling 3 times and then had to go to reception just to get a bowl of lentil soup which came without bread as described. Taxis going out of the resort will also be overpriced.

Review 72:The waterfalls, the room and view, the delicious breakfast, all the bright flowers and the romantic garden seats. There was a particularly helpful and kind guy on reception at our arrival. The spa is divine.

Review 73:The hotel driver took us to souvenir shop where we got overcharged. We already informed hotel but get no reply. Hotel should have paid the driver enough so he will not take adventage of the hotel guests. Such a shame!

Review 74:nothing.

Review 75:1. Very very expensive! Even though we're live in London and high prices are not something unusual for us we were not expecting the prices at the hotel to be this high in the restaurants! The tours were crazy expensive! 2. Miscommunication with booking.com - whatever request you make, make sure to double check with the hotel, do not entirely rely on booking.com's confirmation. 3. Tax and service charges are not included in the offered price - addition of 26% to any bill.

Review 76:We loved the hotel, the location and the service - 11 out of 10!! Just note that hotel is basically in the middle of nowhere and you will need transfers everywhere (which are not free of charge, obviously). For us it was not a problem! We loved our stay and the hotel staff was friendly and helpful!

Review 77:Expensive. Despite being a guest at the hotel, you still have to pay to use the spa area. Breakfast is included but you pay a service tax which is about 8 JOD per person. Only ate at the Brown Bar and food was so-so, which when compared to the price you pay is not worth it at all.

Review 78:Facilities are outstanding, decor is lovely and staff is nothing short of perfectly hospitable

Review 79:Very bad value for money : Hotel adds 26% of additional charge on booking price and offers a 3-star quality of service at a 5-star prive. More detail below : - No hot water when we arrived, had to ask 3 times to finally have it fixed after a couple of horus - Room service leaves dirty knife after cleaning the room - Nothing in the mini-bar - Gym equipments broken and dangerous to use - Huge fat spots in the hallway’s floor, when getting out of the room. Encountered like 5 between room and elevator - Reception staff barely speaking english, not very welcoming - No staff around the pool at all, can't eat outside - The restaurant’s menu must have been made by kids at an art workshop - Breakfast quality is low : no fresh juice, industrial food... Overall after complaining we had a 10% discount, and paid 570€ for 2 nights (including 4 drinks and 1 light diner at the panorama restaurant - which is good). It seems a huge price paid considering the standards offered. I definitely not recommend this hotel.

Review 80:- Location is nice, in the middle of the mountains (which is a downside too as you are totally captive of the hotel). - Rooms are fine, quite big with a private balcony

Review 81:I found the pillows too hard and too high. I think food and drink are over priced. We were upset to discover the natural waterfall was closed and an artificial one was made instead, therefore guests should have been able to use the waterfall of the six senses spa for free.

Review 82:I loved the soothing music playing in the background and the lovely scents in the corridors. The scenery is very beautiful with the high mountains and trees. Also the fresh cool breeze blowing in through the valley into our room. Also nice big bathroom.

Review 83:Food was disappointing and inconsistent with everything else.

Review 84:Lovely location and attractive room with view over the valley but best of all the hot pool fed by the thermal spring. Great day and night!

Review 85:This hotel is lovely, sitting in an idilic valley in the Jordan Mountains next to the hot springs. The staff as I have generally found in Jordan are so friendly, helpful and welcoming. The suite we have is beautiful, it is clean and smelt delicious, slightly smaller than we normally have but lovely. So why oh why does the management allow the little things to slip. The things that make a 5 star hotel a great world renowned 5 star hotel. The table and chairs around the pool looked like a cheap cafe, it was only when we sat down that they laid the table that transformed the look. Why not lay them up permanently. It would greatly enhance the look they do it inside the pool bar why not outside? The other side of the lovely wooden fence at the pool, in plain view are a number of old 6ft metal props just left discarded, such a shame. In the suite I wanted to plug my iPhone into the plug next to the bedside table, when I pulled the table out, there was a thick layer of dust on the floor, skirting board and plug. Again minor detail but details count at this standard of hotel. Looking out of our room window is an awesome view down the valley, but right in the middle of this view is a six foot rusty old pole carrying wires across the hot springs, please simple paint the pole and clear away the old rusty 50 gallon oil can. Simple things to put right that would greatly enhance the view and experience, the little things matter and again would make this an awesome 5 star hotel.

Review 86:Best spa Hitel I have ever been too.

Review 87:The location is wonderful, (away from the horrible hotel chains at the dead sea), hot spring and waterfall, very tasty decorated, great breakfast, views from our bedroom, peaceful and quiet. A luxury

Review 88:The hotel was not fully equipped for a 5 star hotel. We started our stay with complaints and regretted to have spent our holiday there. It was a big disappointment!

Review 89:Breakfast and the hot springs

Review 90:Noisy upstairs neighbours for a brief time...but that isn't the hotel's fault...

Review 91:What stood out was the excellence and amazing friendliness of the staff. From the door to the pool to the restaurants and bar they were exceptional. But the setting and views were awesome.

Review 92:Some areas could be cleaned better, like the grout in the showers. There were very few people there (a plus), but it meant that not all of the restaurants were open. Also, for the cost, I think general access to the spa and springs at the spa should be included for adults. Also, there were many more children than I expected and that made the pool area pretty loud.

Review 93:Staff were amazing and the setting was beautiful. It was absolutely relaxing. The water temp in the springs and pool was perfect.

Review 94:No a singly complaint or something I didn't like.

Review 95:Amazing relaxation place with an amazing view. The stuff were so friendly. It needs a minimum of 2 nights stay.

Review 96:Lot of potential but they don't see to invest to maintain the property. Bed sheets and towels are very old, mattresses are not good quality. Sunbeds are old and dirty. It's a shame, it could be much nicer especially for the price they charge!

Review 97:the atmosphere and location are quite different.

Review 98:Entrance to spa is paid, pool is small with artifical waterfall, pushy staff always asking heavily if you need anything in order to get tips, Overpriced food menu..

Review 99:Decoration, style

Review 100:Rooms, staff and location

Review 101:EVERYTHING on site was "under maintenance"

Review 102:The staff was great

Review 103:Nothing

Review 104:The best hospitality ever..best staff..best service

Review 105:Rather expensive

Review 106:Hot water pool, great breakfast, quietness in a lovely valley.

Review 107:The decore

Review 108:Hotel taxi prices were a rip off!! We got others for 1/4 of the price..

Review 109:Springs were amazing; great view; nice room; near to Dead Sea

Review 110:No clear pathway marked to walk up to the top of the springs source

Review 111:Excellent pool facilities, good breakfast, quality ingredients and no major crowd

Review 112:For a hotel this expensive it may have been a little bit more clean.

Review 113:The great location. And good facilities.

Review 114:The pools weren't very v Clean

Review 115:The food was magnificent

Review 116:As each facility dating several years must be up dated

Review 117:Complete calm and relaxation if you go for a spa

Review 119:It's nice to be here for one's

Review 120:It's a bit pricy
