Reviews for Riad Tafilag

Review 1:Having to leave!

Review 2:Ben and Hassam AMAZING hosts. Very clean. RIad beautiful. Food lovely...banana jam particularly good. Hamman wonderful experience. Sad only had one night here.

Review 3:The whole Riad has decent smell of canalization. Arrogant French owners, who can't even greet. The room "Oasis" like a prison cell , smelling ugly, and very noisy. Never again!!

Review 4:A guy named Ben Hassan is the very soul of this Riad, very nice , very friendly!! Thank you Ben!

Review 5:It is a lovely Riad with lots of comfortable sitting areas around the courtyard and terrace. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms (we stayed in Atlas suite) are nicely furnished. There is a library for guest use. A perfect stay in Taroudant!

Review 6:We had no issues at all.

Review 7:Great location (although you may need to ask a local for directions the first time you go there), comfortable rooms, terrific meals and very helpful and friendly staff.

Review 8:Very good breakfast on the beautiful roof and swimming pool very clean . .and decorate hotel. Amazing staff. .Very good English speaker It was hard to leave

Review 9:The place was wonderful. Ben, our main hose and everyone there made us feel at home, so friendly and warm. The rooms were beautifully decorated and the breakfast lovely.

Review 10:Dinner at the riad is relatively expensive. Better off at one of the many restaurants in town

Review 11:Very lovely riad and well located. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Review 12:Everything was perfect.

Review 13:Brilliant service. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. A beautiful riad, spotlessly clean, with swim pool, hamman, and massage available, right in the heart of the media. Good breakfast served on the terrace of your choice.

Review 14:Nothing bad!

Review 15:Staff were great, even looking in on our son who had fallen ill. Beautiful riad with interesting decor and pleasant little pool for cooling off.

Review 16:Going home

Review 17:Very friendly staff, Great location, Good breakfast, Stayed in the lila room which was very nice. You felt at home inside the Riad. It is excellent for relaxing. WiFi connection is also really good in the Riad for Morrocan WiFi standards. I definetly recommend this Riad when staying in Taroudant.

Review 18:Ben, our host, is the nicest man on the planet. He went out of his way to show us and tell us about his beautiful Morocco! We became good friend and will miss him so much. Bravo! All the staff were so friendly and we felt right at home. The Rhiad was in a great location and everything was walkable. The room was super nice and clean with lovely art everywhere. Congratulations for a job well done. Thanks again Ben for your warm heart.

Review 19:We chose the least expensive rooms, and now realise that by spending only a little more we could have had more space and our own balconies.

Review 20:From the first warm welcome by Ben to the last waved goodbye, we had a great stay at Riad Tafilag. Lovely meals in the evenings, excellent advice on lunch places and routes and a genuine friendliness from everyone made it a very happy stay. In quite a compact space, the Riad offers attractive terraces on which to sit, relax, eat. It has a tiny pool, and is cool even at the hottest times.

Review 21:We had bit of a challenge finding but with the assistance of locals in a parking lot found the property.

Review 22:The owners and staff were very accomadating in a beautiful setting.

Review 23:This is a beautiful riad, with wonderful attention to detail. One of the nicest riads we stayed in during our 5 weeks in Morocco. The atmosphere is very cozy and intimate. On arrival, Ben welcomed us and was so delightful. We felt at home immediately. He upgraded our room and the new room was lovely. A nice size and very clean. Breakfast was excellent. Highly recommended!!!

Review 24:The decor of our room could have been much nicer. Dinner was OK, but not great.

Review 25:Ben was fabulous - funny, energetic, a delight. The weather was chilly and rainy during our stay, so we weren't able to enjoy the terraces, but in warmer, nicer weather, they'd have been lovely.

Review 26:Staff friendly and helpful. Could pay on card after conversion to MAD. WIFI fast and stable. Very good food and service. Good overall one night stay.

Review 27:Nothing..nothing..nothing

Review 28:Beautiful hotel. Everything was excellent. The beds very comfortable, the room and bathroom are very big (Atlas suite). Nicely decorated. Very good breakfast. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Muchas gracias Ben...you are a gem!! Carparking very close (little payment). I def would recommend this hotel!!!!

Review 29:Add some cheese or so to the breakfast table instead of only sweet things.

Review 30:The personnel was very friendly and we had some nice talks with them. Also sharing the breakfast table with other guests wasnic.

Review 31:Very nice clean Riad, well decorated with nice attention to details. Friendly smiley staff and owners. Excellent location in the heart of the amazing city of Taroudant! It was a nice relaxing trip :)

Review 32:Extra payments for tea - it was nothing but rather unusual in Morocco.

Review 33:Everything here, starting from the hospitality of owners, through healthy breakfasts, to - last but not least - the builidng itsel, was great. Thank you, guys for lovely stay!

Review 34:For us the bed was too hard. But that is a more personal issue.

Review 35:The place is magic on a a river with stunning views. the reception by the owner was great and everthing is done for your comfort. Highly recommended.

Review 36:Nothing.

Review 37:Charming and very helpful staff and manager, excellent food for the new year dinner, very nice interior of the Riad, comfortable and beautiful bedroom. A shame we could only stay for 1 night.

Review 38:Nothing occurs to me.

Review 39:Ideally located right in the middle of the medina, everywhere is easy walking distance, yet situated in a quiet side street. Lovely building, beautiful room. Staff very friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Review 40:A little hard to find the first time. Bathroom window overlooked the walk where noise tended to echo.

Review 41:Excellent location on a pedestrian walkway. Wonderful staff. Large, extremely comfortable room. Huge tub. Very clean. Delicious breakfast every day.

Review 42:Nothing-everything was exceptional.

Review 43:I can not say enough about the staff, location and ambiance of Riad Tafilag. Ben, Wafa and Ahmed were overwhelmingly kind and accommodating during our stay. The owners-Mr & Mrs Julienne, made every effort to make the Riad seem like our home. The location is fabulous, easy to find and has nearby parking, all easily arranged by the Riad. The short walk to the ramparts and into the souks and square make this Riad the ideal location to explore the small city of Taroudant.

Review 44:Nothing!

Review 45:The Riad is simply gorgeous, with many terraces, and decorated with attention to detail. There is even a very inviting small pool, which unfortunately we didn't have time to try. We had a small private terrace in front of the room, which we really appreciated. The location is great, right in the middle of the city, and is easy to find thanks to the map with pictures provided by the Staff. The Riad also borrows bikes for free if you want to explore the city and the surrounding walls. But what makes this Riad really wonderful is the amazing staff: Welcoming, generous and helpful, and really doing everything to make the stay as perfect as possible. If we could have done so, we would have booked another night without hesitating.

Review 46:Beautiful Riad with excellent food up a quiet street in the centre of Taroudant. Extremely friendly and helpful staff - nothing was too much trouble. We had a really nice suite on the third floor with a terrace. We eat in most evenings as the food was better than most of the competition. The staff at Riad Tafilag booked two excursions with an excellent driver/guide and also arranged lunch out of town including organising a taxi. They spoke very good English which was most helpful as our knowledge of French is limited. All in all, this is an excellent place to stay with good facilities run by very nice people.

Review 47:too bad we couldn't stay in Riad Tafilag fore more nights!

Review 48:The staff of Riad Tafilag makes you feel very welcome. They send an email before arrival with additional info, the map pointed us straight to the Riad. There we were welcomed with Mint tea and cookies. The rooms was very nice (big!) and the Riad is well designed. The staff is very helpfull and are ready for any question you can think of. Breakfast was served anywere you wanted which was nice.

Review 49:We had two rooms: a triple for the kids and a double for myself and my husband. As the aircon wasn't working in our room, we were moved to a huge alternative, which was wonderful and had the biggest bed I've ever seen. The staff were lovely, the pool was small but delicious, and the breakfast on the roof-terrace was fab.

Review 50:Ben was wonderful, very friendly & helpful, good recommendations as to where to eat. comfortable room, delicious breakfast. Can't fault it. Love all the different terraces

Review 81:You must be patient with the hot water, it will come, but very very slowly

Review 82:Wonderful staff, service and breakfast

Review 83:Nothing I didn't like.

Review 84:Amazing stay! Amazing staff!

Review 85:nothing

Review 86:great breakfast served on terrace, very nice and friendly staff, nicely decorated

Review 87:Room "Oasis" doesn't have a window !!!!, so you have to keep A/C on all the time, wood frames and furniture stinks. 60 Euro per night !!!!! for a cage !

Review 88:Suite "Atlas" was grate, big room and private terrace, big bathroom. 75 Euro per night

Review 89:The Riad was great, right in the center of the Medina, with very helpful english speaking staff. The availability of the bikes for the guests was very helpful in getting around the city and enjoy the walls from outside. Bothe the room and the shared areas were large and comfortable.

Review 90:Riad Tafilag was one of the nicest places we stayed in during two weeks in Morroco. We got lost driving there and the staff was extremely helpful in coming to rescue us and, on arrival, presenting us with a room upgrade. Unfortunately, it was a very short stay but, during that time, all the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the breakfast was more plentiful than most and served on the lovely garden and the general environment just lovely. Pity we didn't get to use the pool!

Review 91:Everything a riad should be. Immensely stylish with a multitude if different patios. I found two things to not do though and these are not really complaints. Firstly, I wasn't able to eat there as I hadn't said I would early enough for the ingredients to be bought, so if you want to eat, say so early. Secondly, my room was pretty small and I would recommend paying the modest amount extra for a larger room or suite.

Review 92:As I was with my ten year old daughter, although there was a tvroom, a tv in the room wouldn't go amiss. The youth of today,I'm afraid.

Review 93:The staff (a special mention for Ben), could not help you enough! Theaccommodation was superb! I haven't been so spoilt for a long time!

Review 94:Everything. Beautiful riad, lots of different terraces and corners to sit in. Lovely rooms, the Djebel Suite was very spacious with huge bathroom and own private terrace with sunloungers. Food was outstanding, it is a good idea to order dinner at the riad as there are very few restaurants in Taroudant. The best staff in the whole of Morrocco, Ben was great and so helpful.

Review 95:Nothing at all!

Review 96:Riad Tafilag is one of the nicest riads I've ever stayed in as it doesn't have this sometimes claustrophobic atmosphere. It is very well designed, furbished and maintained. Kudos to the lovely staff there, extremely nice and helpful!

Review 97:Having to leave and go home, dinner is a little pricey - but good

Review 98:We were only planning on staying one night but we loved it so much we stayed there the rest of our trip - riad is lovely and very comfortable - the staff are wonderful and attentive giving it more of a feel of a home stay / B&b - really delicious food - never wanted to leave . We went to tiote fir a day trip which was beautiful - delicious lunch at the little cafe beneath the castle and a walk in the palms with tortoises making love

Review 99:A bit away from the center of the medina, little hard to find, however that's just a minor downside of very nice riad in Taroudannt!

Review 100:Super friendly staff, nicely decorated riad.

Review 101:The pool looked a little uninviting as it was in the shade and looked a bit on the cool side.....

Review 102:What a lovely welcome awaits you at Riad Tafilag. The staff are all so friendly and helpful.

Review 103:Riad Tafilag feels like a small, quiet paradise in the middle of the lively, chaotic centre of Taroudant. The staff is incredibly nice, guests are welcomed with fresh mint tea and Moroccan sweets and the hotel itself, a traditional riad, is extremely beautiful. We would have loved to spend more than one night there!

Review 104:The Terrace views were of Satellite dishes and breeze blocks - but there's not much our hosts could do about that.

Review 105:We stopped in Taroudant en route to Essaoiura from the desert. As it happened, it was our one cloudy day in two weeks but despite the dank weather we ventured into the Medina city. It's only small, unlike sprawling Marrakech and provides a better reflection of ordinary Moroccan life. The city itself wasn't too special but the Riad was lovely and if it hadn't been cloudy we would have used the pool. The room was clean, spacious, very comfortable and cool. The receptionist was very welcoming and suggested an excellent restaurant for dinner (L'Agence). My other half had an Argan oil massage which was apparently also very good!

Review 106:A wonderful Riad with most beautifully and individually decorated and very clean rooms. Based on the very good description and fotos sent by the Riad after booking, it was very easy to find the Riad. All the staff, especially Ben, are very friendly and kind, so we enjoyed our stay very much. Our kids loved the wonderful little pool (which they could use even late at night). We would recommend this Riad to everybody.

Review 107:It's a bit hidden, we had to ask indications.

Review 108:Comfortable, quiet, clean and with very attentive staff. It's very close to the fish market square where there is outdoor parking space (15MAD/day). Decent typical breakfast with pancakes, jam and bread. Would definitely stay again.

Review 109:Nothing. Everything was great.

Review 110:A wonderful Riad. Very comfortable and clean. The staff could not have been nicer. Excellent breakfast. Definitely would recommend.

Review 111:This Riad and its staff is the nicest I have seen so far. Everybody is superfriendly and helpful. I am sure there is no better value-for-money anywhere around to get.

Review 112:No complaints.

Review 113:Friendly and helpful staff. Suite Djebel very roomy and comfortable with efficient air conditioning - which we needed as it was over 35 degrees even at beginning of May.

Review 114:I liked everything.

Review 115:The staff were excellent and always went out of their way to try and fulfil our wishes. The Riad itself was decorated beautifully. We were very happy to spend our entire time relaxing here.

Review 116:there was no bath neither tv in our room what said to be there on the internet. The swimmingpool has the size of a big bath, looks muchbigger on foto

Review 117:liked the decoration,ambiance, staff

Review 118:The beds are a little too firm, not that comfortable. But the rest ofthe place definitely makes up for it!

Review 119:Lovely staff, always very friendly and helpful. The riad lookswonderful, it is beautifully decorated and has many places to relax, forexample on the roof terrace. They can also cook you a very nice dinnerat a reasonable price (16 euros pp). The hammam is also a goodexperience and very relaxing. This riad is really good value!
