This eco-friendly hostel is 650 feet from the Kalmar Strait beach and 5 minutes’ drive from the UNESCO-listed Stora Alvaret limestone plain. It offers ecological food made from local produce. All rooms include free Wi-Fi.
All rooms have shared bathrooms. Some rooms at Strandnära Eco Hostel are located in the annex and includes access to a fully equipped kitchenette with refrigerator.
The dining room is located in Strandnära Eco Hostel B&B’s main building. Guests can also make use of the BBQ area in the surrounding garden. An organic breakfast is served every morning.
Ecologically produced beauty products, jams and clothing are sold at reception. Coffee, wine and beer are also available. Books, magazines and games can be borrowed for free.

Review 1：We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend it. Just one suggestion to the owners to improve. We stayed in the second floor of the main house while it was 30 degrees celcius outside. Our room was very warm upon check-in and it was only possible to open the window a tiny bit. We did not ventilate the room after dinner because there was so much food smell inside the house which we did not want inside our room. So I woke up in the middle of the night to open up the door and getting fresh air in as the open window did nothing to ventilate the room. A better ventilation of these rooms would have been appreciated.

Review 2：A Beautiful country home nicely situated near a beach. Entering the establishment one feels like entering a yoga studio, it is calm and the emphasis on eco-products was nice. Amazing 5 star breakfast, to die for! Kids loved the garden and the beach.

Review 3：Tastefull decor, very hospitable couple who made us feel very welcome, full use of all facilities encouraged, with a tasteful choice of breakfast. Carried through the ECO profile as much as promised.

Review 4：Maybe the beach on northen part of Oland is a little better. But this doesn't count on my judgement of the hotel. The hotel is more than perfect.

Review 9：The hostel is at a great environment and close to a beach. There was a really nice customer kitchen. The Hostel's a la carte restaurant was also great. Staff members are young, energic and happy. Perhaps they were a little bit "yellow" with minor things, but they did their best all the time.
