Review 1：- No one speaks English here!! So if you are an international person, skip this hotel asap.- WIFI does NOT work. - the bed is a disaster, the mattresses are fully worn out and the springs are poking you in the back. - no water pressure on 2nd floor in shower. - location is relatively far from center or main attractions. - very loud, even if windows are closed. (no soundproofing whatsoever, and the loud noise from the street can be fully heard!) - NO Credit Card payment. Their machine did not work and the staff in the most rude way tried to blame my credit card company / bank. (although the card worked of course everywhere but in this so called hotel!) - the staff overall is not very upbeat or positive or friendly or helpful. - this place is an old soviet dump which was converted into a hotel and staffed with poor Kazakh ladies paid most likely below average salary. this is in no way a professional hotel, not even a motel!

Review 2：For some reason they supply the guests with fresh towels every day!! Noneed at all for that really, but I suppose that's the only positivething I can think of.

Review 3：I was simply looking for a relatively inexpensive hotel near the airport for an overnight stay. Hotel and room were ok with an on-site cafe. However, the linen did not appear to be clean and the towels were sour. In the morning I found out that the shower head did not work - ugh! All in all not worth the cost, a little effort would go a long way to making this an acceptable hotel.

Review 5：For $73 per night for two people, the standard room was extremely small and cramped. We were initially given a room without an air conditioner, but when we expressed our dissatisfaction, we were immediately switched to another small standard room with an air conditioner.

Review 6：This hotel is located right next to a large, beautiful Mosque. It felt so good to hear the sound of the Azaan coming from this Mosque. If you are Muslim tourists like us visiting Almaty then this proximity of the Relax hotel to this Magnificent Mosque will outweigh any shortcomings of the Relax Hotel. You will be able to walk from your room in the Relax Hotel to this Mosque in less than five minutes and you will find good restaurants offering Halal food located close to the restaurant. The Relax Hotel has an elevator, and the Russian lady who worked at the front desk spoke excellent English. We arrived at this hotel on September 5, 2014 and stayed for two nights. We visited the Museum of Musical Instruments which is about 15 minutes by car from this hotel and we also visited the Hawk/Falcon nursery which is about 30 to 45 minutes by car depending on the traffic.

Review 7：the garbage was not cleared for at least 3 days the toilet has very strong urine smell but was improved when notified.

Review 24：It's a somewhat glum place which I'm afraid I can't recommend. Staff seems very inexperienced, and must always contact "someone" per SMS in order to answer even the simplest question, for example whether it is possible to have breakfast at the premises (a sign at the reception said that breakfast was included in the room rate, but this was apparently not the case). More seriously, they were unable to provide a receipt for the credit card payment - although I did receive a handwritten receipt after some discussion. I don't think it has anything to do with bad will, it's just inexperience. Rooms, while somewhat basic, are OK - but overpriced. You can do much better than this in Almaty.

Review 26：Не во всех номерах есть кондиционеры, вечером бар не работает ( или вообще его там нет... ) Находится в 150 м от мечети. Рано утром будет тяжело уснуть под голос муадзина ( хотя очень красиво это слышать )

Review 28：They did not have our booking.com reservation, nor recognized it when weshowed it. We ended up paying more per night than we were promised. As aconsequence, we stayed only one night (instead of three).Our twin room consisted of a bed and a couch-converted-to-bed, which, given the size of the room, could just have been two beds.
