Reviews for Hotel Dar Zitoune Taroudant
Review 1:Higly professional and helpful staff. Very clean rooms and public areas, beautiful pool is really taken very good care of like it was in someone's private house. Food is delicious, very good price for quality. Excellent Wi Fi all around the property not only in the rooms.
Review 2:After travelling 6 hours from Marrakech on the Tizi'nTest Pass we came to this relaxing retreat on the outskirts of Taroudant. Initially we were a little disappointed by the dated & dusty furniture & fixings of the reception & dining areas but as we went outside & towards our accommodation it was simply idyllic. The serene & beautifully clean pool area amongst the citrus trees, along with bar, waiter service & jacuzzi created a wonderful calm setting which was exactly what we were looking for after a few days in Marrakech. We stayed in a traditional Berber 'tent' in the Village Berbere which also had its own pool & small terrace area where we were served breakfast every morning... we even had this whole area to ourselves throughout our stay as te hotel was quite quiet. We enjoyed our first day so much that we decided to stay on another day & completely relax... it was our honeymoon after all! The manager and everyone who works at Dar Zitoune are tremendously helpful and very accommodating, wonderful hosts. The only thing they need to do now is update the indoor decor. Thoroughly recommend it, just look past the first impressions. Also, Taradoudant itself can be explored within an afternoon... definitely take a horse carriage ride & have dinner at Restaurant L'Agence!
Review 3:This place is an oasis of tranquility and relative efficiency in a part of the world where it is easy to get very frustrated with accommadation and travel logistics. The rear gardens and accommadation are really unique and beautiful. The bathrooms are some of the best I've ever encountered anywhere!
Review 4:The beds were firmer than we are used to, and the sunloungers really needed two cushions to be really comfortable
Review 5:The ambiance, the gardens, the food, everything, from the delicious breakfasts, wonderful nibbles with our aperitifs, beautiful cakes and biscuits and fresh fruit in our room. Two delightful pools, if a little chilly at the end of February, but also a very big jacuzzi pool, which was heated
Review 6:Beautiful well kept gardens and pools, fantastic for relaxing away from the hustle and bustle of town but near enough to get into town by taxi easily. Good food and excellent extensive breakfast choice, very accommodating re. veggie food, staff helpful and friendly atmosphere. Lovely communal areas with a fire for relaxing in the evenings. Accommodation in private well maintained bungalows in the garden.
Review 7:Harsh lights in the evening in the restaurant (both inside and mainly on the restaurant patio) don't make for intimate or romantic eating.
Review 8:Absolutely excellent breakfast served wherever you choose (in your bungalow, on your own patio, by the pool, in the restaurant or the restaurant patio...), real treat. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Perfectly clean and comfortable. Despite being situated on a fairly busy road the entire premisses are very quiet. Beautiful garden. Only 10 min by taxi to Taroudant.

Review 22:I cannot praise this hotel too much. Owner and staff delightful and attentive. Everything inc food was excellent. Will return and recommend it to friends
Review 23:The road across Tizin Test is a nightmare for driving (although stunning beautiful). And there's nothing interesting in the vila of Taroudant. The best thing is really the hotel.
Review 24:The place itself it is great, two wonderful swimming pools and a very nice decor. The Berber luxury Tents are great. the beautiful gardens.
Review 25:My suggestions for improvement all relate to the menu/restaurant/bar. A buffet breakfast rather than a la carte would make life easier for everyone. We also found the price of the evening buffet very expensive for a family. More Moroccan food on the menu, especially vegetables, and perhaps more generous portions would also have been welcome. I think more could have been made of the bar area and shop, just to make it more lively and more of a hub for all guests. With so many beautiful things to buy in Morocco, I think the shop has missed an opportunity.
Review 26:The hotel was very well laid out in tropical gardens, and the rooms spacious and beautifully appointed in a traditional manner. A very pretty pool. Everywhere thoroughly clean and well maintained. A peaceful location outside the town, but just a 5 minute drive to get in. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant and a guided tour of the city well worthwhile.
Review 27:We had planned to stay for one day two nights but did extend because it was an awesome opportunity for a holiday from holidays. We stayed at one of the tents which means own terrace in front of the private pool. Big room, all facilities. And the food simply divine. Totally enjoyed it!
Review 28:Rooms - ours was a junior suite - was dark and lighting was terrible. Wewanted to spend the evening reading but it was notot a pleasant place tospend any time in. No views and not congenial. Under managers was surlyand unapproachableMain feeling was that it was oevrpriced and soul less
