Review 1：I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights! Location of the hotel is very good and very convenient if you want to see center of the city or if you have some business meetings. Staff is very friendly and very qualified, anything you ask is done in just few minutes. Definitely will stay again

Review 9：Nice comfortable room, good size and clean. Breakfast in the Balcon restaurant was great! Beer in the Balcon restaurant was great too. Staff on the front desk were very helpful with a dry sense of humour. Quiet and restful.

Review 10：Noisy air conditioner, bad pillows, bugs on the tile floor in the bathroom, leaking shower - water on the floor. Also every morning (3 days) it took 10-15 minutes for hot water to start. And it still was not hot - just warm enough to take shower. Breakfast is of very poor quality.

Review 12：No coffee facilities in the room.Noise. Difficulties to use the t.v. Tha wifi was not working the first day. One of the receptionist was really hostile. Bad quality of towels and toiletries.

Review 13：Location is the only reason someone can have for staying in this hotel

Review 14：When an evening before I requested at the reception to order taxi to the airport, I specifically asked to send a taxi which gives a receipt. Not only the taxi driver did not have receipts, but the cost of the journey was 4,000 KZT instead of usual 2-3,000 KZT, and nobody told me this in advance. So, I had to pay a largr than normal fee and had no receipt for it. This was a very bad service and experience.

Review 15：Good breakfast menu, polite staff in the restaurnat and at the reception, clean room, reliable wi-fi. A bit noisy, but this was expected as the hotel is located on a busy road.

Review 18：I would like to have a large bottle of water (1,5 litre) in the room - preferably every day (without additional costs). I had two small beds in my room - but I am sure there are rooms with one large bed.

Review 19：Clean, comfortable, small home-like atmosphere, not overcrowded, not fancy, everything you need to stay if you are on business or tourist visit. Good value for money. Smokers are allowed to smoke in their rooms. WifFi, mini-bar, good location, toiletries, safe, etc. very good breakfast in the adjacent stylish restaurant.

Review 20：My colleague was asked to pay for dirty bed sheets, towel etc.. However we managed to convince the hotel staff, but it took time..

Review 23：It has all the things you need and whilst not cheap, but Almaty standards it is a bargain! The bar/restaurant on the second floor, where you have breakfast (which is very good) is a busy place at night and worth a visit in its own right. Staff speak great English.

Also arranged for an early morning call and booked a taxi to take us to the Airport (at a reasonable rate) for an 05:00 flight. The Balcony Bar / Café / Restaurant was fine, although we only had breakfast in it and drinks at the bar. Again very pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Definitely recommended

Review 41：In the room there was a small booklet on excursions which could be made, but as it turned out the local travel agent was not able to execute any of their options since it was Sunday. The Saturday was Constitution Day, and since that fell on a day off, it had to be made up by giving people the Monday off. In other words: A long weekend which many people used to leave town. Just bad luck for me.

Review 42：Very good and fast wifi. TV in many languages, also Western channels. Breakfast great, and the restaurant menu had a good selection of interesting dishes. The receptionists were very good at advising what to do in Almaty and how to see as much as possible in a short time. My room on the 3rd floor towards the street was high enough not to be disturbed by the traffic.

Review 47：The area is calm with a pleasant environment. Several tourist attractions are in walking distance. Hotel staff members were friendly. Front desk manager spoke fluent English. I had no problems communicating with room service or restaurant staff at the Iris. My room was extra clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Food ordered in the restaurant was healthy and delicious. Dining on the outdoors balcony was a plus. Staff assisted in every aspect to make my stay pleasant, safe and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend the Iris to my friends.

Review 106：The breakfast was not that much good. I have used the hotel taxi and charged me like 3000 tenge per way, the normal taxi was 500 tenge. Dont use hotel taxi!!

One of the receptionists (his name was Islam) sorted out a taxi transfer with good resourcefulness. 4. Attached cafe (Balcon) is nice and good spot for an evening beer & snacks (little pricey though). 5. More suited for Business Travelers.
