Review 7：I found the hotel extremely well situated ...the rooms are spacious with a magnificent view...Byblos is absolutely charming...Staff are very professional and polite...discrete as well...which is always appreciated... a place to go back to

Review 8：The only problem we found is that the rooms have connecting doors to next-door rooms. These connecting doors allow a lot of noise in from the neighboring room. We could hear the neighbors' conversations and TV. We could also hear the cleaning staff next door when they were cleaning the next morning.

Also, there seems to be a constant stream of traffic noise or workmanship going on but the glass is nice and soundproof, however it does make sitting on the balcony not as peaceful as we would have liked, given the stunning views.

Review 33：Wedding in the hotel. Very (very!!!!) loud music till 2 am. And when we thought it was over and we could have a sleep they started 1,5-hour of deconstruction of decorations with ugly metallic noise. It was totally unavailable to sleep till 3.30 am. That is not what you should get when you pay $250 per night. No one informed that they gonna have wedding just in front of our windows. 3 times we asked to turn off the music from 12 am till 2 am. They haven't... Very disappointed!!!

Review 35：How can a hotel become so run down in just 2 years??? Our shower was unhygenic with visible built up grime. We requested it to be cleaned 3 times before my husband lost it and cleaned it himself on the third day of our stay. The staff didn't seem to be embarrassed or care at all. The staff also couldn't manage to find us a car to hire either and we had to do that ourselves too. A new generator kept us awake all night buzzing and rumbling through the night, but the staff didn't seem to think it necessary to warn us of this before our stay commenced, nor did they apologise or offer any gesture to compensate. We stayed there is 2012 and it was a first class hotel. Today it is dirty, the staff are indifferent and I wouldn't even rate it a 2 star. it is old, tired and filthy, and for peak summer it had no guests or atmosphere. I wouldn't go back ... EVER, even if it was HALF the price. We left before the end of our stay and forfeited the cost. Beware of hotels that require full payment up front and will not modify your booking. I wanted to change my dates (take one day off at the start and add a day on at the end) 5 minutes after I hit "pay" online, but the hotel would only agree if I paid for an extra day. Who does that 2 months before a booking date??? Also the breakfast is very ordinary and the guests are all quite elderly but that's probably because the hotel is the most expensive one in the area.
