Review 2：Location in front of lake Gregory is amazing. Concept of room layout is unique (2nd double bed on the upper floor in the chalet) Sightseeing around Nuwara Eliya is extremely beautiful Staff is courteous and helpful

Review 3：The weather can be a spoiler. If it rains there is not much you can do as everything else is in open. Do check the weather forecast before going !

Review 5：We checked in on the 26th of Dec 2015. As soon as we checked in we really regretted our decision. The place was nothing like the pics on the webpage. The rooms had a foul smell and the toilets were not in a good condition. One of the few positives were the view. We stayed at the Regency hotel (which is a 5 star hotel) in Kandy the night before and had a really good time and spend nearly the same amount at this place (approx USD $375 for a quadruple room B and B). We ordered breakfast and it took them more than an hour to get it prepared and we only had an omelette each with a sandwich that had cheese and one piece of lettuce. It was a really bad experience for our family and I would not recommend this place to anyone. To make matters worse the credit card machine was apparently not working and the manger asked us to go to an ATM and withdraw money from our credit card. Will never visit this place again.

Review 13：The creakiness in the room when moving around. The name has been changed to Calamander Fish Lake Gregory ,but the guest was not informed .

Review 19：Well you seriously need to re-do the wooden floors of the chalets as they make a huge noise when you walk on it. We couldn't walk without waking up kids every time they went to bed. Crackling sound was too much irritating to bare. And wifi sucks. Could not access any of my apps through your wifi. so had to use the regular HSPA connection on my phone.

Review 20：We loved the location and the Chalets. Would definitely come back. Value for money. Breakfast was good. Easy access to the town and all nearby locations. And loved all the furniture. Being a furniture manufacturer I admire all the furniture work of your chalets.

Review 22：There's only eight chalets at this facility and the lake view is marvelous. The house is well decorated and has two floors.

Review 23：The facilities are not very well maitained and it is cold and damp at night. The staff are friendly but not attentive or helpful when you need some local information.

Review 27：The hotel is now named Calamander, and is probably living on old merits. It is not up to standards and in need of a renovation. Toilet (and probably the full base of the house) full of mould and smelly. Restaurant poor, furniture in the garden half broken. Breakfast mediocre and in all it is not worth the money they are charging. Would rate it as two star at the moment. Our driver was put up in a very poor and dirty place. Take it off booking.com unless the lower the price and stars!

Review 28：Location is good, beautiful overlooking the lake. We had booked two nights, but left after one. As we were not satisfied the manager didn't charge us. Fair play!

Review 29：Bathroom smelt though we asked them to clean it. Bed sheets didn't fit the bed and had holes in them. Staff understood very little English.

Review 33：Reception took along time to answer the phone. And reception closes 10 in the night. This was never communicated to us though and therefore was inconvenient.

Review 35：The hotel needs really deep maintenance, bathrooms are not clean, woods makes noisy sounds while u walk, heater of room was broken and not fully functional, so it was very cold, TV was not working, sink was broken. Hotel's reception is inside the restaurant which is really bad, the worst thing is that electricity goes off!

Review 43：Chalet 7 is small, and there is a big boat blocking the view from Chalets 3 and 4. The other Chalets are good 1,2,5,6 and 8. Old furniture. Need repairs. Noisy floor. There was a rat in the Chalet. Every 2 Chalets are adjacent. The water heater was broken. The door to the lake is locked as the lake area is a government property and you have to pay to enter it from its main entrance gate which is located outside the hotel.

Review 49：Big problems with electricity and toilet flush. Within 2 days the mechanic had to come 3 times (also in the late evening) and the problem was still not solved. In the chalet it was really cold due to the bad doors and windows. Lastly: there was no proper reception and lobby so if you wanted to warm up somewhere outside of your chalet you had to go to the restaurant.
