Reviews for Monoberge Hotel
Review 1:No tea or coffee facilities inside the room. Carpets rather shabby.
Review 2:Very friendly staff. Close to the town centre but not inside which suited us because we wanted to park our car and walk. Free parking. Nice crisp clean white sheets!
Review 3:I believe that the floor should be covered with carpet. It was winter time and the floor was very cold. The heating system should be improved. The breakfast was very moderate. The value of money is not acceptable at this time of the year. I don't recommend to stay at this hotel in winter.
Review 4:Good location near city centre of byblos. Room was spacious with nice balcony.
Review 5:A kettle with morning tea bags and nescafe would be expected in the room .
Review 6:The hotel is located in a very good spot in Jbeil . All facilities around are easily accessible . The staff is very friends and helpful .the nice treatment makes you feel home.
Review 7:The location is great, it's a walk to the old port, and the roman ruins. You can find everything you need within a 500 meter walk. The staff were very kind and helpful, anything we needed and could be done was performed immediately, everything went to order. The hotel was located right off the highway, which made me worry about however, in the room if your window is closed, you do not hear a noise.
Review 8:Can't think of anything really
Review 9:Staff were amaziging, make us feel very welcomed and assisting us with everything we needed. Just perfect attitude guys!
Review 10:Location on a major road is a bit noisy, fortunately the windows are double-paned and noise insulation is good.
Review 11:Large and comfortable rooms, great helpful staff. Special thanks to Nassib!
Review 12:Excellent Quality/ price ratio. Very polite, professional and friendly staff( joe and the rest of the team). Exceptional cleanless and relaxing atmosphere Tasty food (E cafe) Beautiful rooms Strategic locations, in the heart of Byblos
Review 13:Very friendly staff and a fabulous location with many great amenities. I recently removed my kidney stones, not only did the hotel owner take me to the hospital when I was in severe pain, but he also stayed with me at the hospital with my friends to make sure I was back in good shape.
Review 14:The price we paid was slightly higher and although we believed that the VAT had been added when we made the booking, we were advised it wasn't. It wasn't a hige difference in price though!
Review 15:Perfect Location. Friendly, first class staff! Front Desk Receptionist couldn't have been more helpful or pleasant to deal with. The beds were extremely comfortable and the housekeeping staff ensured the room was cleaned at a very high standard. All staff was smiley, nothing was too big an ask! Lovely shower, nice big windows in the room. Nice decor in the hotel - amazing breakfast! Great selection, fresh and delicious. Readily available parking in front of the hotel.
Review 16:Nothing.. Perfect in all ways
Review 17:The highlight of this hotel experience is the staff!! Honestly! All the shifts and all the staff members are amazing!! Christian took my friend to the store nearby to fix his phone screen after it broke, and also picked it up on his behalf as we were out sightseeing.. Kristeen gave me great advice on the best beaches in the area.. Everyone is so helpful and nice.. And even when we were going to our wedding event they were happy to see us dressed up and helped us take pics.. Everyone is just amazing (ps the cleaning lady on third floor has the brightest smile EVER)
Review 18:Not one thing I would change! I wish I would have stayed longer.
Review 19:I love this place. I have never been in Lebanon, and what a welcoming way to feel at home for 14 days. From the time I called to postpone my arrival, i knew these amazing helpful staff are the real thing. Everyday since they provided me with every possible helpful service and warm welcomes, and that is not yet counting the amazing location, walking distance to a 1000 year old buildings and ruins to shop, eat and walk on the beach, sunsets everyday. Comfortable, quite, great service and amazing location.
Review 20:Nothing
Review 21:Stay was amazing . Reception was so welcoming. Christine helped us so much and was super nice and professional. I find hotel should be rated more than 3 stars.
Review 22:This is not related to Monoberge hotel. But in case you want to orderfood delivery to your room, dont use nearby 'Kaddoum Center'cafe. I asked them for a fresh juice specifically highlighting to makeit without sugar, but they put several spoons in it and when I calledthem to ask was there a sugar or not, they lied to me saying no. And Ihave allergy to sugar and was felling down and itching all day.
Review 23:I stayed in few hotels in Byblos before, but liked Monoberge most. Roomsare good quality and have mountain view. Breakfast include proper coffee(not fake nescafe which I hate about other local hotels) and goodvariety of typical lebanese food. I also loved the outside cafe forbreakfast, it has pleasant mountain view. Staff was helpful, proceed allrequests immediately. But the best part is the location. Its easyaccessible for driving from highway and its only 7mins walk to the EddieSands beach and 5 mins walk to Old Souk of Byblos. There are also niceshisha places and cafes right next door to Monoberge. And one of themost famous and very tasty Arabic sweets shop - Hallab 1881. You canhave a coffee with desert and some basic lebanese food inside there andbuy some sweets takeaway (better than in the airport). Also just 2minswalk there is a good Japanese restaurant with a very advanced menu. Sooverall im very satisfied with the quality of Monoberge hotel, servicesand surroundings. Best economy option in Byblos.
Review 24:We were told that we have been upgraded while we were checking in, so that was a nice surprise. Every request that we have placed prior to our arrival was taken into consideration. Great staff.
Review 25:The bed was a bit squeaky, I did not mention it since we only stayed 2 nights.
Review 26:Location excellent walking distance to all places. Good variety for breakfast, very friendly staff
Review 27:the staff were very professional and friendly. its very rare in Lebanon to find such helpful and friendly staff. it was a pleasant stay. room is clean. and hotel well positioned.
Review 28:Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel, modern rooms, clean bathroom. Great location. Breakfast is great. Highly recommended. We would definitely stay there again
Review 29:If I have to find really something maybe the breakfast has more salty food than sweet food, but of course it was ok.
Review 30:The location is good, walking distance from the old city and from the "bus stop". The staff was very nice.
Review 31:We already knew that this is a 3 star hotel that has no facilities whatso ever, and we did not expect much, so we decided to book a premiumsuite (the most expensive option) for some extra leisure thatunfortunately we did not find. There was nothing "premium"about it: the space was good (similar to a double room in a good 5 starhotel) but: We were told it has a sea view. Well it has two small highwindows and the sea is seen in the horizon, but you can only see it whenyou stand up at the window. No balcony. I don't think that thiscounts as a "view"!! The floor had no carpets/moquette,only two small pieces of white (now grey!) old carpets. In addition, noslippers were provided in the room!! The satellite channels were allblocked! No dvd player available, we had our own dvd player but it didnot work properly with the available old system. No shelf for thebaggage, we had to keep it on the floor. Bathroom is big but the bathtubis very small. Wifi is fair (only a low resolution 144k youtube moviewould work without interruptions!) The breakfast was extreme basics.Nothing to write about. The restaurant view is to the street. Weexpected a rooftop restaurant at least! I think this is a good 3 starhotel, we would definitely choose a regular room with approx. Half theprice if we would visit next time. The premium suite was a completedisappointment.
Review 32:We chose Monoberge because we wanted to spend some relaxing time inByblos. The location was good: walking distance from the old city.
Review 33:The WiFi: We found more than 4 Monoberge accounts, we tried to connect to each one, none of them prompted for a username and password, even though they were given to us at the reception.
Review 34:1. Very Courteous staff 2. Very Professional service 3. Amazing room decoration 4. Peaceful place
Review 35:Little humidity smell in the room. curtains didn't fully open
Review 36:friendly staff spacious rooms quick service good breakfast with a nice outdoor terrace
Review 37:Great experience , the suit was clean , comfortable and big enough for the family , great family team running the hotel , excellent location where it is a walking distance to the center of Jbeil and at the same time on the high way so you can avoid the center traffic .
Review 38:Nothing to complain about
Review 39:Byblos/ Jbail ist a great place to see in Lebanon and the Monoberge Hotel is defenitly a very good Hotel to stay for this. The stuff is always friendly und happy to answer your questison. The rooms are modern and very clean. Also the breakfast is delecious and you have croissants, cereals, scrambled eggs etc.
Review 40:the curtains do not completely block the light from outside. so in the morning the room will be sunny. in premium executive room they did not offer dental kit, sleepers, brush...etc which i believe they have to. the breakfast is very poor and they did not even write the name of the plates. the internet was very slow.
Review 41:the staff are very kind and nice the location is good the hotel is calm the room is clean very nice balcony in breakfast restaurant.
Review 42:All has a good style in this modern hotel, personnel is high professional. Within few minutes walking you can reach attrative locations of Byblos-Jebel. Room style is modern, quite big and all details have been provided in a great way. The manager is a wonderful person and I would appreciate very much her skills and her availability. Thanks for your attention and thanks for your excellent work. Hope to come back soon. Andre
Review 43:Everything is nice here. From the price, the service, staff, tidiness, cleanliness. Considering that it is not the peak season now,the hotel is providing the best services one would expect. I would recommend it without hesitation.
Review 44:the staff were very friendly and well trained. Good furniture and very clean . The breakfast was very good. I loved the stay and would definitely do it again.
Review 45:Rather slow Wi-Fi but it was not really a problem for us.
Review 46:Friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast not much variety but good enough - coffee, corn flakes, cheese, croissants, some fruits and vegetables, etc. Perfect location to travel round Lebanon. I would highly recommend to stay there instead of Beirut. Room large enough. Comfortable bed.
Review 47:All was good.
Review 48:The location is excellent central to all tourist activities. The room and bathroom are as new with good amenities. Breakfast is adequate and staff are most welcoming. This hotel should be rated 4 star.
Review 49:Nothing at all.
Review 50:You will fall in love with everything in this hotel. It is a 3 star hotel but you feel it is like a 5 star hotel in terms of room, service, staff and location. Staff are the best thing in this hotel. They are attended on time whenever you ask them for anything. Helpful and cooperative with a beautiful smile from their heart. Especially, Reception, Housekeeping (ROSE), and restaurant in the morning. Sound proof is amazing although the hotel is withing a very busy area and on the high way. I will stay back over and over again at this hotel for sure.

Review 58:Service was very good Location - 7 minute walk to the market Rooms are big - some rooms better than others but all generally spacious and comfortable Staff very friendly as it is a family run hotel
