Reviews for Villa Chez Batista

Review 1:Beautiful private beach, great snorkeling spot, efficient staff, comfortable room with grand views. Good food, albeit expensive even up to Seychelles standard. Nice beach bar. Perfect for a private and relaxing beach holiday.

Review 2:Not the best beach for swimming though the snorkelling is OK. Still, Anse Intendance is very close which is excellent for swimming.

Review 3:Fantastic location overlooking the beach with wonderful sunsets. As this hotel is staffed by locals to the island it offers the chance to connect with the local culture more than the typical resorts. So, don't expect first class service but enjoy the more rustic surroundings of the hotel and a chance to meet real Creole people working there. Contrary to the info on this website, I can confirm that the restaurant is now open all day and evening (except Sunday eve). The Sunday Creole brunch with a local band playing was a great experience and a good chance to meet locals and enjoy their local beverages :) Recommended.

Review 4:On our second day, power was out and it took a while before it was fixed. Guests could use a little entertainment at nights in their restaurant.

Review 5:Awesome and relaxing view of the Indian Ocean! Food is great and every bite is tropical and exotic. You can feel a sense of privacy and exclusivity. Place is clean and has the basic amenities. The staff are all very nice, warm and friendly.

Review 6:The tortoises need a bigger enclave. We wish the bar was functioning. FnB menu lacks variety. They could add a small gym/lounge.

Review 7:The location is excellent; it is cut off from the buzz. The place is surrounded by mountains and trees. They have a long lovely beach interspersed with granite rocks and some trees. It's a very homely place; it doesn't have a commercial feel at all. The staff is very friendly and the food is tasty.

Review 8:reception is not good they work only from 8 am till 4 pm family with young children this resort is not a good option restaurant service is not good

Review 9:Location & beach good for young couple

Review 10:A lot of trouble to access the Internet beside the 10m radius from the reception area. I guess that for this price level a breakfast could offer more than just pancakes + eggs and instant coffee.

Review 11:Location of this place is absolutely amazing. When you are on the beach, you may feel like in paradise :)

Review 12:The main road is not recommendable for long walks.

Review 13:Beautiful beach on Mahe, directly at your door step. Only this hotel is on this big beach. restaurant is very nice located at the beach/sea. very friendly personnel. small turtle garden. nice private veranda. nice honeymoon welcoming. Busstop near the hotel.

Review 14:Only bad thing is that kitchen is close on Sunday evening. But you can ask staff to prepare you something in advance and they are happy to do it. Otherwise everything perfect!

Review 15:For the price we paid it exceed expectations, position is amazing with beautiful beach and view, cuisine was delicious, staff were very friendly and helpful! definitely we will come back!

Review 16:The timing of the breakfast(7 to 9 am) Sometimes you wanna wake up late during your vacations... I would put more fruit on the breakfast since its a beautiful tropical country...

Review 17:I loved the view! The beach!!! The restaurant!!! Its infront of the sea... The cleaning Service of the room. They dont touch any of your stuff... Its paradise for a good price... I would go back there for sure!

Review 18:Would have liked a better wifi facility but not the end of the world. Really need a car as the hotel is a distance from other local facilities.

Review 19:The location is perfect a great place to switch off and get away from it all. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable.

Review 20:Most grumpy owner ever, very bad energy, no motivation to receive his guests and not really friendly reception staff! Very bad service and no hospitality whatsoever! No facilities from 16:00 afternoon (not even dinner!) untill the breakfast next morning! Lunch and breakfast very very bad....and waaaay to expensive!!! We were camping on our most expensive holiday ever! We wont recommend this place and we will never come back again.

Review 21:The only thing positive was the location, a beautiful bounty beach, that's all. The rest of our stay, was the biggest dissapointment we had on a holiday! and for the first time we deceided to treat ourselves with a luxury holiday. All our previous budget holidays were much better!

Review 22:wifi only works next to reception
