Reviews for Ahiram Hotel Byblos

Review 1:Walls/door were a bit thin--- small kids were out in the hall early in the morning, and felt very close.

Review 2:Staff and owner were warm and helpful. Breakfast and dinner were good. Easy access to the public beach.

Review 3:The free breakfast was not appealing to me. Maybe it might have been that I showed up 30 mins before it ended. Nevertheless, the only thing I drank was juice. The female receptionist clearly showed me that this was just a job to her and she did the bare minimum.

Review 4:I expect motel 6 and was surprised that it was slightly better with a balcony with sea view. I liked the interior decoration and I did feel cozy even though I only spent a couple of hours in my room. I also liked that the beach was 5 mins away. I truly enjoyed listening to the sounds of the waves from my room. Finally, I liked that the manager, I think, ran out to get my luggage from the car. He was so welcoming, I felt that I made the right decision to stay there.

Review 5:The hotel was all a little bit dated, but that's not too much of a problem - little things like the doors/windows being very difficult to close properly.

Review 6:The view from the rooms is breathtaking, and the location of the hotel is perfect. The rooms are neat and clean, although a little dated. The staff were very, very friendly. Absolutely value for money.

Review 7:The hotel is located right on a beautiful stone beach. Breathtaking seaview in particular if you get one of the rooms at the right corner of the building.

Review 8:Nothing negative

Review 9:Nice easy going relaxing place. Staff very happy to explain anything, give directions. Good value for money. Extremely pleasant location.

Review 10:Can't find anything

Review 11:Everything - staff, food, location. Even if you have any complaint the kind and helpfull stuff will solve any issue asap. If I will travel to Byblos again I will stay at this hotel again for sure.

Review 12:Prices are expensive in Byblos. If you are a young traveller doing things on the cheap, I would stay somewhere else like the Comfort Inn. The beach in front of the hotel is not that nice, very rocky.

Review 13:This is a nice, simple hotel, which is walking distance from all the great things in Byblos. The staff are great and really helpful. The breakfast is amazing!

Review 14:nothing I did not like

Review 15:The front desk manager Alveir was super in Hostility & kindness , she was helpful in many occasions , Yousef was so active , Sharbel was good & as well Mustaffa ,all other staff are helpful much , the good thing is the Hotel is on the Al Bahsa free beach & was a walking distance to old sook and to Al marsa Meana , als to old churches and Jbeil Castle I realy enjoy it & my wife too .

Review 16:Breakfast could be better at that price

Review 17:Location ... the only hotel in Jbeil that has direct beach access. The rooms are clean - for a good spacious stay choose a room that ends with the numbers 5, or 2. Hotel staff are very accommodating, provide towels for the beach and hairdryer & meet many needs.

Review 18:Internet is slow, they gave me a bad room first night, no sea view, too of small bathroom. ..but they changed it next day upon my request

Review 19:The location is fantastic, lobby and breakfast area facing the sea direct with fresh air and quite atmosphere

Review 20:A/C blowing straight to the bed, old concave mattress, incredible number of banging doors until midnight, sandy water when you want to wash your face in the morning.

Review 21:Cleanliness, view.

Review 22:Room didn't get cleaned on our second day which was a little disappointing. There were some wifi issues for part of our stay.

Review 23:Great views overlooking the beach and only a 2min walk down there. Less than a 10min walk to the old souk in Jbeil.

Review 24:Sea view

Review 25:Poor online connection.

Review 26:Location, staff treatment and atmosphere, refurbished place.

Review 27:Wifi, and price

Review 28:Great staff.

Review 29:the view

Review 30:very noisy

Review 31:place

Review 32:The room it was small a bit ,

Review 33:The staff is very nice , we felt like in our home .

Review 34:Reception staff are a bit unpleasant

Review 35:Location and view

Review 36:Nice and friendly staff.

Review 37:Poor breakfast

Review 38:The reception team was great (joelle&elvir) thankyou so much you made my stay wonderful

Review 39:Small room for 3 people.

Review 40:The location

Review 41:Nothing

Review 42:Location was excellent Lovely breakfast Nice sea views

Review 43:no swimming pool

Review 44:location ,simplicity

Review 45:Sea View

Review 46:The location and facilities access to the beach and night life.

Review 47:Noise spread in the hotel very easy (small hotel), bed sheets are small, dirty sometimes and look like towels !

Review 48:Price, location, view

Review 49:Water in the sea on the nearest beach is sometimes dirty. Maybe becouse of storm on these days.

Review 50:Clean hotel and rooms, perfect service, friendly staff, great view (from rooms with view to the sea)

Review 51:We were given a different room than the one we had booked, a back room with no sea view. The triple room is not really available at the hotel and not all the rooms are see view rooms.

Review 52:The breakfast was amazing and very generous. The staff were nice.

Review 53:Our bed was not designed for comfort. They can do much better. Around 4.00am there was a lot of noise in the hallway. People talking loud and doors slamming! Front desk very unprofessional. They wanted to charge us for an extra night. They backed down when they realized we were not going to pay for a night we did not use!!

Review 54:We have been to this hotel few times. The lobby have been decorated. Nice. We keep coming back for sentimental reasons. My wife grew up in this village. The old man that serves breakfast and coffee, is lovely. He has been here for a long time. He is an asset to this Hotel.

Review 55:location: right on the beach and a mere 5 min from the port with all its lovely restaurants and cafes and of course the crusader castle and roman remains; also the breakfast is typical lebanese and thus absolutely gorgeous and very generous.

Review 56:The lobby is always busy with loud people, not sure if it was the owner of the hotel as this is the second time we stay at Ahiram and the same person is always there, drinking coffee, and sharing his political views out loud. Very annoying..

Review 57:amazing sea view from the room

Review 58:Wished I could have stayed longer!

Review 59:Definitely plan to return for Christmas. The staff treat you like family, rooms and service excellent. Loved Ahiram Hotel!

Review 60:The hotel is not very good its only 6.5 not 8.2 .the building is not suitable for hotel i dont like the hotel .

Review 61:I like the location of the hotel very close to the sea . And the breakfast is goog .

Review 62:- not very stylish (built in the 70s yet) - staff is sometimes not very efficient

Review 63:- location : very close to the old town (5 minutes by walk) in a very quiet area - direct access to a private beach and marina (private pool) - breakfast included - big, clean rooms with a sea view

Review 64:It was so clean and modern, perfect location right over a free beach and SO close to downtown Jbeil (Byblos) yet it wasn't overpriced. Very hard to find a hotel like that in Lebanon and I will be going back there next time I visit Jbeil

Review 65:The statement on the website that all rooms overlook the sea is not correct. The first night I had a room over the car park and it was very noisy, the next nights I had a partial sea view, but the other side of the room was again over the car park. I found the bathrooms old and cramped.

Review 66:It was reasonable, clean and some of the staff were very friendly. There are steps leading to the beach close by which is good. The location is very good for Byblos ruins and old town. The breakfast is a good Lebanese breakfast.

Review 67:Bedding was two singles pushed together but I think that was because they wanted to give us the best room they had available and it just happened to have two singles.

Review 68:Excellent service from the front desk. Got us in way before check-in time even though they had to clean the room early especially for us. Nothing was too much to trouble for the very helpful lady. They made sure our requests were met including room with a view. We looked out right over the Med in a freshly refurbished room. All in all a great little hotel with exceptional staff and a fantastic Lebanese breakfast (you must try the foule - it was the best we've ever had).

Review 69:best romantic calm place ever...amazing staff..excellent attention to details...definitely going there again!

Review 70:Loved EVERYTHING

Review 71:Perfect views. Amazing and friendly staff. Ideal location on the beach.

Review 72:Facilities are basic.

Review 73:Good location, friendly staff

Review 74:Small room. Smokey smell from other rooms.

Review 75:Sea view from the bed, balcony.Very pleasant, friendly staff which isnot common in hotels in Lebanon.

Review 76:nothing

Review 77:I loved everything

Review 78:very kind, freindly staff.I will come back again.
