Reviews for City Hotel Bodø

Review 1:An unintended stop in Bodø, but a simple, clean room that catered for our stay. Staff were pleasant and helpful and had a nice breakfast. Would stay again if in Bodø.

Review 2:Very hostel like. Had to change room as bathroom light didnt work. Notea/coffee in room. Woken at 1 30 A.M. by drunk guest who hadforgotten to take keycode to get in. Kicking door and shouting untilsomeone finally told him how to get in. Not a place for older people orthose with young children.

Review 3:Price. We were leaving early and asked if we could get breakfast whichwas brought to our room.... There was enough food for packed luch too

Review 4:Good location (close to the Lefoten ferry terminal). Excellent breakfast. I stayed on a Sunday night. In the hotel restaurant, they put out a waffle maker + jam & cream in the evening so you can make your own dinners. Norwegian hotels are traditionally expensive. However I found the city very reasonable, particularly as it includes breakfast.

Review 5:Although we spent there only one night with an early-morning check-out, we liked it as a lovely, cosy, "youngish" hotel and of course cleanm well-equipped (coffe-, tea-making possibility in the room as well as in the hotel's tv lounge). We had to leave the hotel before breakfast-time (included in the price), but we received a very packed rich meal. Location is good: ferry, railway station and the city center are very close.

Review 6:Small fridge in room is barely cool. But the staff was accommodating and offered to hold any perishables in their fridge.

Review 7:Very convenient access to station and ferry.

Review 8:The Wi-Fi doesn't always go up to the second floor.

Review 9:The staff is great. Both receptionists were very helpful. As Norwegiansthey're not really extraverted, but are there to help you and aregood at it. The hotel is not a 5-star one, but has all it needs.Breakfast is great: eggs, waffles, bacon, cereals, bread, etc.

Review 10:Bathroom was small and quite smelly when we entered the room

Review 11:Very good breakfast. Location is very convenient to the train station and ferry terminal to Moskenes

Review 12:This place is more like a hostel, there are shared dorm rooms. We had a private room with private bath and it was fine. Location was good, room was comfy, and the breakfast buffet was excellent, lots of choices, eggs, bacon, breads, meats, cheeses, yogurt, fruit etc.

Review 13:The Wi-Fi didn't Word properly in some rooms... But the staff kindly changed my room for one with a better Wi-Fi sign...

Review 14:The fantastic breakfast, one of the best I had in Norway...

Review 15:The wifi connection it is not so fast but works properly.

Review 16:It is very close to the train station and not so far from the airport, the personnel was helpful and kind, the relation price-quality is very good. Making and overall opinion: I would choose it again.

Review 17:Need taxi for bus terminus, bit far with case. Don't like how hot the buildings are, slept with window open in October.

Review 18:Close to rail station. Staff allowed us to eat breakfast earlier to be on time for taxi pickup.

Review 19:Very small space in bathroom (shower cabinet took up most of the room). Few lamps.

Review 20:Location. Quiet room. Basic standard to a very good price (half of what you have to pay elsewhere). But do not expect very high standard. Decent breakfast (included)

Review 21:Curtains too thin to prevent light waking you up in the morning (at 6:00 was day), as often in Norway... Common toilets and shower to share too smalls. In a busy period I guess would be noisy as rooms are "attached" one to another in a such a small space Some traffic noise to hear if you sleep light ( from national road, not from small streets around)

Review 22:Good location although not central and very helpful and friendly staff, speaking good english. Breakfast was excellent, and bed/ sheets very comfortable, so rest was fine ( in a weekday night in sept, with seldom people overnighting) In a twin room without any water, made funny to find a sofa, a boiling kettle, a fridge and a table+chairs, that I appreciated. Fine to park if you are driving. Good place in all.

Review 23:We spent just one night in the hotel. We were to come very late and staff left the keys for us at reception. The room is clean and comfy. Good breakfast

Review 24:We were in a large room with a large window overlooking the city. It wasvery clean and comfortable and came with a fridge and microwave. It wasthe cheapest accommodation I could find in Bodo and I would definitelyreccommend this Hotel. The breakfast was generous as well and includedcooked breakfast, cereal and the usual European breakfast items as well

Review 25:Very hot in the room (cold outside) Nothing to do in Bodo except taking the ferry to the lofoten

Review 26:The breakfast was excellent and various The room was large, clean shower and toilet out of the room Close to the Hurtigruten harbor

Review 27:Bathrooms - lack of shower cabins - one room with WC and shower and only plastic curtain. Rooms require some painting.

Review 28:Definitely the highlight of the hotel is breakfast. A wide choice of meals - from fresh fruits (pineapple, melon) through shrimps to hot pancakes. Excellent ciabattas. Good WiFi, helpful staff. Clean bed linen. Parking on the street.

Review 29:The quality of the bed mattress can be improved.

Review 30:The location is really good, especially suitable for those who catch the early train or plane. The working staff is helpful and friendly.

Review 31:There is no hairdryier, but can be loaned from reception. A/C inexistent, which can be uncomfortabel in hot summerdays, however you can open the window, but than is noisy, bad for easysleepers. Reception is closing 23.00 every night, but the door has a code, and the staff can put you the key on the receptiondesk in an anvelope, in case of at late arrival. Very nice though..but the guests MUST communicate in advance with the hotel.

Review 32:The hotel is near to the city center, aiport and ferrie terminal. The room is medium sized, bed is comfy, tv, wifi worked well. Breakfast was more than excellent, with a large choice of food and beverages. Lot of supermarkets, restaurants around the hotel.

Review 33:The room is big enough but not large. There are a few scratches in the paint work, particularly in the hall way, and it could do with a bit of a touch up. However, it didn't worry me.

Review 34:I really liked this little unpretentious but comfy hotel. conveniently located if you are coming up from the south by train. The staff were very friendly and prepared me a huge breakfast pack (3 pieces of fresh fruit, yoghurt, bottle of juice, bread, butter, salami, cheese, etc.) because I was leaving too early to have breakfast there. There were tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge in the room. Would recommend it unless you want something very flash.

Review 35:Pricey for the type of accommodation (budget/backpackers in my opinion), but not unexpected for Norway.

Review 36:Substantial breakfast; clean and quiet accommodation, easy walk to most places.

Review 37:The bed was very uncomfortable. Room and toilet were too small but okay for one person stay.

Review 38:Very cooperative staff and neat, quite rooms.

Review 39:Weird guests, all drunk

Review 40:Pleasant staff

Review 41:Really comfortable bed. Clean facilities and helpful staff. Good value for money. Close to the train station and port.

Review 42:A bit small room, but nothing distracting.

Review 43:Helpful staff, prepared breakfast, everyday room cleaning even in 2star hotel.

Review 44:Smart, clean and cheap. Just the way I like it!

Review 45:Expensive. No lift. Very basic breakfast.

Review 46:Good location, friendly staff.

Review 47:Staff were very helpful and the rooms were clean. And they offered waffles in the evening :)

Review 48:Location was good. Were able to check in late at night easily. Breakfast was amazing, with Norwegian waffles! Room was big.

Review 49:The hotel keeper is really nice and rendered us big help when we told him that we will be a bit late than expected.

Review 50:Bad wifi

Review 51:Clean room

Review 52:The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast is incredible and the evening waffles are delightful. Really a very nice hotel.

Review 53:Very slim bed.

Review 54:Near to the city. Very good breakfast and gratis pancaces served in the evening.

Review 55:Bad wifi connection (slow)

Review 56:Clean rooms Free waffles Kind people

Review 57:There was nothing we didn't like.

Review 58:The location, amenities and breakfast

Review 59:none

Review 60:Friendly staff, convenient to train station - one block, quiet neighborhood ,short walk to middle of town

Review 61:Cramped room but adequate for an overnight stay

Review 62:cleanliness; helpful receptionist

Review 63:nothing

Review 64:breakfast

Review 65:Price

Review 66:Location

Review 67:Room 104 no dark curtains !

Review 68:The free WIFI was terrible, and I was not able to do any work because of the speed of the Connection.

Review 69:The breakfast was great!

Review 70:every thing

Review 71:Rather well-worn. Breakfast was poor, with little choice.

Review 72:Served its purpose as overnight stay.

Review 73:Staff help great

Review 74:Room was dirty. I found some liquid like juice or something on floor. it was dust under the bed and on the corners.

Review 75:The staff was ok.

Review 76:Nothing here to like

Review 77:Nothing this shud nott be rated as an hotell more like hospits

Review 78:Wifi was a bit dodgy in rooms

Review 79:Comfortable, clean, convenient, great value for money, friendly and helpful staff.

Review 80:great location,3 min from train station,8 min from harbour。good breakfest。

Review 81:breakfast was great

Review 82:Good location

Review 83:All the staff was kind. Breakfast was very delicious.

Review 84:Beds were only just comfortable

Review 85:Breakfast fantastic

Review 86:Staff was fantastic. Very close to trains.Even had a small fridge.

Review 87:at 12 o'clock when we can get at the hotel we find our room close. we have to telephone to someone to came and open the door.

Review 88:Very narrow bed. Curtains let in far too much light.

Review 89:Very good breakfast

Review 90:small rooms, some without bathroom facilities, parking on street

Review 91:hotel right in the center, friendly staff, clean rooms, rich breakfast

Review 92:Room to small& bad teribi,

Review 93:Location,brakfast,staf

Review 94:Room was swelteringly hot when I arrived. May have been due to hot weather in which case someone ought to have drawn the curtains.

Review 95:Very convenient 10 minute walk from bus stop.

Review 96:It was a little pricey for the size of the room. And there was no elevator. I had heavy luggage and an injured knee. But I would still stay here again.

Review 97:The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and a very short walk from the train station.

Review 98:Reception staff was extremely helpful in checking forward travel and arranging for a taxi. Due to an early departure before their scheduled breakfast time, reception staff provided a more than adequate breakfast tray the night before.

Review 99:The included breakfast was a bit lacking on variety

Review 100:It was really close to the train station and to the Ferry to the Lofoten Islands. Also close to the center

Review 101:Small rooms. Televisions in each room, but some people keep theirs on all night. Due to flight times we missed breakfast time on both overnight stays. No provision is offered for a small snack or drink to be made available if departure has to be prior to fixed breakfast times. For over £50 pppn, buying breakfast made this a very expensive stay. Staff were very helpful in booking transfer taxis. Would only recommend for its central location being near to airport.

Review 102:Good central location

Review 103:The eggs at breakfast were not cooked enough. Otherwise it is OK. It's a low budget hotel so you can't expect much. The prices can get very high because there are not enough hotels at Bodø at peak times.

Review 104:Breakfast Poor Room Poor & Dangerous The heater which states do not cover is covered by curtains! This is more of a hostel, you can not call it a hotel!

Review 105:A little effort to spiff up the lobby and eating area wouldn't hurt. Pretty average or slightly below average breakfast.

Review 106:The hotel is close to the ferry terminal and train station, (however not as close as the hostel)

Review 107:very expensive for the value compared to other hotels in the same city (or in other cities in Norway at the same period)

Review 108:friendly staff and the location (close to ferry and train station)

Review 109:Smelly (smell of feet ) bedromfloor, the madrass and the pillow smelled like someone who were a smoker had slept on them. Small space between the sink and the toilet.

Review 110:Nice, clean bathroom and towles. Serviceminded staff.

Review 111:It was a little too expensive for what it had to offer.

Review 112:I liked the location as it was close to the port and the room was cosy and nice.

Review 113:Note- make sure you close the bathroom door when you take a shower or the fire alarm will go off. And they will charge you extra if that does happen

Review 114:Good location, easy to find and good breakfast.

Review 115:Clean and comfortable. Reasonable value for money. Good breakfast.

Review 116:1 sound insulation 2 30 min walking from hotel to the bodo airport; but near the railway station
