Reviews for Opsahl Gjestegaard

Review 1:Sometimes it was hard to find someone to ask a question, the front desk was not always present.

Review 2:The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The quaintness made for a nice aesthetic.

Review 3:There was a minor clicking noise coming from the bathroom ventilation shaft. Easily silenced by closing the bathroom door. I would have liked breakfast but it was specifically outline that breakfast was not included, so it wasn't like they mislead me. I just would have liked breakfast. Oh well. Everything else was terrific. Especially the nice lady who greeted me at the door!

Review 4:The bed was extraordinarily soft, with fluffy pillows and a nice warm comforter. The room was small but functional, what one should expect in a guest house. The whole place had a sort of artsy craftsy feel to it with dress forms and knitting. I particularly enjoyed the painting of the imposing old sailor that hung over my bed. Most people wouldn't have liked the way his eyes seemed to follow you wherever you stood but I thought it was hilarious! Like something out of Scooby Doo!

Review 5:Nice dining area but we came the week the kitchen was closed (apparently we were charged a little less that week which was fine with us)

Review 6:Quaint house with newly remodeled private bath, two sweet balconies to use, walking distance to center & train yet quiet. Great find. Highly recommend.

Review 7:Nothing

Review 8:The lady who runs this guesthouse has done a nice job in making the rooms and the place in general as comfortable as possible, and there are many nice touches in choice of furniture, in room facilities and decorations. I really liked the chair! All over the guest house, there are many fine details and design choices, which give the place a nice character.

Review 9:The hotel manager was superb. This went beyond receiving guests, providing travel information/help, and managing the breakfast buffet. He took a personal interest in our family history in the area, and provided expert, enthusiastic attention to helping us learn more. Unlimited Stars for Tobias!

Review 10:Nothing!

Review 11:It was like staying at grandma's home! Cosily furnished and there's a refrigerator and microwave you can use.The staff was excellent and very helpful!

Review 12:Felt uncomfortable in the family lounge. House was overheated making common space too hot. Initial arrival was to locked door and then cool reception. Too far from Bodo town and the water views.

Review 13:Quite room even with windows open. Coffee and pasties available and complimentary

Review 14:No negatives in this place.

Review 15:Above and beyond our expectations! Owner was exceptionally nice and welcoming. Home was beautiful and clean. Beds were comfortable.

Review 16:A lot of dust, uncomfortabel bed, nick nacks everywhere, poor breakfast, strange smell, dirty common kitchen

Review 17:Close to the bus, quiet

Review 18:The staff was so kind and my room was very nice!

Review 19:It's comfort and decorating. Pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast however was not included and I understood it was.

Review 38:Very nice little place, only five minutes from the city center.

Review 39:I was very disappointed with this guest house. The room was extremely small with a bathroom you couldn't swing a cat in.The breakfast was very poor.It was certainly overpriced in comparison with the Clarion and Radisson where I had also stayed on this trip. How it achieved a rating of 8.7 is unbelievable.

Review 40:The only positive statement I can make about this establishment is that it was clean.

Review 41:This is a guesthouse and room has small, but private bathroom. It's very clean, good service, and nice breakfast. If you don't need all the facilities as a hotel offer this is a very good alternative :)

Review 42:1) Tried so many times but still cannot get connected to the wifi 2) Room was super small, don't even have enough place to put two big luggages

Review 43:A home-like cozy hotel that is nicely decorated

Review 44:The bathroom was rather small and cramped.

Review 45:The room was pleasant and cozy. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful. It was an easy walk into the downtown and not too far from the airport. The breakfast was fine but somewhat limited in choices.

Review 46:OK for us, but may not be good for young children.

Review 47:Very friendly and helpful staff, unusual old character of building, easy parking, small, quiet part of town.

Review 48:Quite expensive (but most inexpensive in Bodo at the time). About 1 km from city centre. Old wooden building, you must sneak at the night time to not to wake everybody else in the building.

Review 49:Helpful staff, when we arrived late. Very cozy and nicely decorated. Some organic food at the breakfast. Free public parking.

Review 50:Service oriented staff. Unique decorating style, with herbs, dried flowers, old-fashioned pictures throughout the common spaces and in the rooms. Breakfast food was as usual, but presented very stylishly, so that it was a treat to sit down at the table with my cup of tea.

Review 51:It was a very cozy place.

Review 52:Very friendly and helpful onwer - as for the recommendation what to do in Bodo and surroundings...

Review 53:Easy to find and very central to Bodo
