Review 1：Booking rooms , huge disaster and a headache . Spoke to staff twice , they said they understood but still got it wrong . My sister phoned in and booked her rooms I went online . The staff on the telephone that spoke with to ask about how to make a change was very rude .

Review 16：I loved how friendly the staff was! In the morning we realized that we forgot to ask for a late check out and when we did in the morning it was no problem at all! The room was very clean and for being a hotel the shower had lots of pressure and was high enough for my husband not to mention the shower head was really clean.

Review 23：The stay was good..except the thin walls of washroom and the loud noise of the fan and water made it a bit uncomfortable. Then the breakfast was served at the lobby due to restaurant renovation and had to wait more than half an hour to get a place to sit n eat. Overall wasn't bad but wasn't tht pleasant too.

Review 24：The front desk agent working the evening of August 25 was fantastic - very friendly and welcoming. She helped us with directions and made us feel right at home! My room was very clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend to others passing through.

Review 25：Unprofessional front desk staff upon arrival and at departure left us shaking our heads. We won't go into detail but we were later told by the staff that a mistake was made by a Grande Prairie Best Western employee when we booked our room that prompted the front desk staffer upon arrival to claim that we were 'no shows' for the night we were supposed to stay. As we were checking out the next morning, different front desk staff attempted to get us to pay for our hotel room again. We managed to depart without having to pay twice but after emailing our Visa statement to an assistant manager showing that we in fact had paid for the room, the response came from the Best Western Grande Prairie employee whose apparent mistake started this whole mess. Her response did not include an apology. But more importantly it was truly bizarre for this employee to be responding to an email that was sent to an assistant manager.

Being recommended by a Grande Prairie resident to take it to Kal Tire and to my surprise having the location right across the street from the hotel and to have such friendly neighbors both at the Hotel and at Kal Tire. :)

Review 80：The lies the staff told me, being booked into a smoking room. Nonsmoking rooms are available at time of booking but for a unknown reasonthe idiot on the desk gave me a smelly smoking room outside anindustrial unit which had its air con exhaust outside my window blowingall night!! At 2am my room alarms went off until 4am. Reception had nosolution to the problem. This then triggered a migraine which meant Imissed a days work and had to pay!!! For another night to allow myselfto recover. Up on leaving, the desk staff had a very negative attitude(on the Defensive = guilt) coupled with the fact they didn't listento anything I wanted to address.... Absolute scum!!!!

The location was great since I needed to travel to both ends of the city and this was central. The nearby restaurants were also an added bonus.

Review 102：Location was very good, central to the city. Located next to two excellent restaurants Padrinos and Tony Roma's. Room and bed were very comfortable and esthetically pleasing. Price through Booking.com was really good for a Sunday night, $120 per night, only regret not booking for 2 nights right away cause the next day we decided we wanted to stay another night and tried to book again through booking.com and the price had gone up to the hotels regular corporate fee of $160 for double occupancy. Having the hot breakfast buffet included in the price was also a pleasing bonus.

Review 105：My husband and I stayed in one room and our friends stayed in another that I reserved. I made it clear that I was only paying for my room and my firieds were paying for their's. My credit card was taken and scanned at the time of check in. The woman at the front desk asked my friends for a credit card as well and were informed that their card was being scanned so in the event of any damages to their room they'd be responisble for paying. I did not notice the following morning at check-out that I had been billed for both rooms when I accepted the receipt. It was not until my credit card statement came in that I noticed 2 seperate charges for the same night. When I asked my friends if they had also been billed, they were unsure as their credit card statement hadn't arrived in the mail yet. A few days later they confirmed that they had not been billed and refunded me their charges.

Review 106：The free breakfast is awewome in theory ... during out stay, we had thebreakfast on a Saturday morning. There was some sausage, no eggs, nohasbrowns, no pancakes, condiments were empty, pastries were empty,silverware was in short supply, tables were not cleared. The loneservice person was working and working hard but never getting ahead.Only one person was working in the area and she was flat out but gettingcaught up. She was running to restock but then tables were left empty.She would clear tables but coffee would be out, she would get morecoffee set up, the buffet was empty again. She was fighting a losingbattle and not because she wasn't trying. I felt sorry for her but shewas smiling and running to get whatever anyone was asking for - and thesad thing for her, with a free breakfast buffet, with people not havingto pay, she was getting tips either and she certainly deserved it buthaving a bus-person or someone else to keep the buffet stocked wouldhave been essential.
