Reviews for Incheon Airport Transit Hotel
Review 1:I have never had a bad experience in the Incheon Transit Hotel.
Review 2:I've stayed there many times. If you have a 12-hour layover you can get a rest and recover from your trans-Pacific flight before traveling onward. It is a great hotel.
Review 3:I stayed in room 114. The clock was broken. The room was freezing cold. The front desk woman told me that since my room was "further away from the heater than others" it was cold. I had asked for a tea kettle when I booked. I got one with a cracked top. The outlet I tried to use was broken. I had to ask for a cup. No spoon was provided. For the rip off price of $118 they could have provided some tea bags, sugar, coffee packets, and a spoon. The breakfast says it costs $36. When a staff member saw me taking a photo of the sign, she broke her neck to run over and tell me that since I was staying there, the cost of the breakfast would "only be $18." A total rip off. Breakfast selection woefully inadequate for Western options. If they had any class, the breakfast would be included in the price. The ultimate ripoff. No competition.
Review 4:The only game in town. The only hotel in the airport.
Review 5:Didn't like having to leave.
Review 6:Excellent customer service. Personable, friendly, professional and caring service, can't wait to stay there again. Recommend this hotel for everyone. Best travel hitel experience EVER!!
Review 7:There is no tea/coffee making facility in the room as described on the website. When asked, the receptionist explained that only certain rooms have this feature. Café in the airport doesn't stay open 24 hrs and thus essential to have this feature especially since one has to check out at 630am.
Review 8:Location is perfect for an overnight layover without having to leave the airport.
Review 9:The lady at the front desk was very rude. I had a sudden change to my flight schedule, so I asked her if she can call over a person with a cart to drive me to my gate. She became snobby, handed me a contact card and said, "No, that is it." Wifi was very slow. Also, it is confusing to know what items inside the room were for purchase or for free. Some items that are for purchase were missing the "For sale" sticker.
Review 10:The only positive thing to comment on is that the hotel is located inside the airport, so it is very convenient to be able to check in and out of your hotel room around your flight schedule.
Review 11:I stayed here for the second time in two years. It is very convenient, being inside security at the airport and perfect for transfer passengers. There are no windows and rooms are small but that's what I would expect from a transit hotel.
Review 12:Nothing!
Review 13:It is IN the hotel--no customs! Only security check is coming into airport from plane. You could eat off the floor, it is so clean. No hsllway noise from cleaning staff. Located near amenitties--nail salon, massage, etc.
Review 14:It wasn't a bad experience at all but I do have to say the place could stand to be refurbished. The room was looking a bit shabby.
Review 15:I liked the fact that there is a property within the airport itself where we (my sister and I) could relax and shower during our 12 hour layover.
Review 16:no bad experiences
Review 17:Very convenient and it has everything you need to spend several hours in the airport. Bed, shower, desk, WiFi, food and beverages. Excellent
Review 18:None.
Review 19:I absolutely love the location for a transit hotel. It is located within the secure area of the terminal. Everything a traveler needs is just right there inside the terminal. I found the room to be clean and quiet enough for me. I was able to get good quality sleep and then wake up and take a shower before catching our connecting flight.
Review 20:Online booking for this location is poor. Although the hotel has 12 hour reservation options, and is primarily used for transient passengers (those with long layovers) the online booking system only allows for check ins beginning in the evening. Users have to request a different check in time via the comments box, and this does not appear to show up correctly when the customer arrives at the front desk. Fortunately, there are a significant number of rooms available, but this should be a consideration for those traveling during peak vacation or holiday periods when rooms may become scarce.
Review 21:Nice location as it is located within the Airport terminal itself. Rooms are clean, but small, and the bathrooms may make most western travelers feel like giants. Otherwise, a great option for the long layover crowd in Seoul.
Review 22:on-line booking for 12 hours stay starts from 7pm till 7am. My mother arrived in the morning and I wanted to book a room from 7 am till 7pm. The reservation was confirmed but with the opposite timing. I had to call to the hotel to verify. Perhaps the time adjustment should be envisaged too.
Review 23:TV programs be made free of charge, Mini Bar should be well stocked with food substance (ready to eat sandwitch etc.), and little more range of moderate liquor (Korean Vodka for $30 is too much as one ltr. Obsolute cost only $21 downstairs.
Review 24:There are two transit hotels. The other location would have been closer to my gate.
Review 25:Loved that the electrical plugs were international. Small space but plenty of room for one traveler.
Review 26:Two separate locations (East and West) for the hotel that are very far apart with no way to tell which of the two your reservations is with. Staff starts very noisy cleaning early in the morning - 7AM.
Review 27:Location was unbeatable. Room was clean. Quiet despite ongoing construction at airport.
Review 28:Sent 2 E mails to the hotel to ask for clarification on how our luggage would be transferred from arriving to departing flights next day. E mails never answered.
Review 29:Food was too expensive and required a full set meal - not enough choice and need partial meals for travelers who try to avoid eating too much
Review 30:Clean and efficient and well located
Review 31:No hot pot for coffee and no shower rug....no remote for the tv
Review 32:Location is the best....hotel room small but has all the amenities and dining until 8:30pm
Review 33:I arrived in the evening and wasn't able to pay for access to the food/drink bar, would like later hours.
Review 34:Really convenient and also very quiet.
Review 35:the food selection was too expensive and no choices to have smaller meal at less expense. Should have more food options
Review 36:Very convenient, clean and pleasant staff
Review 37:A drinking water should be a complimentary.
Review 38:It's located right in the heart of the airport. No need to get out and go through customs, then come back again in the morning. Especially good when you travel with a child/children.
Review 39:The attitude of the staff need to be improved
Review 40:The location is excellent, it's very convenient. And the environment is pretty quiet which makes it a good place to take a rest.
Review 41:There are 2 Transfer Hotels...at opposite ends of the terminal. We trekked ourselves (group of 8) and all our carry-on to the wrong hotel where we were told we didn't have a reservation. After showing the receptionist a hard copy of our reservation, we were told to go the "other" location. Room itself was okay. There was a little mold in shower corners and hallway carpet was worn with faint odor.
Review 42:Extremely convenient location in the airport. Very happy I booked this room when I saw all the travelers who hadn't trying to find a place to sleep. It was a bed, private bathroom and close to our gate without having to go through security/customs in the morning. There's a food court and restaurants throughout terminal.
Review 43:I booked at around 5;20, around 7:30 am, a cleaning service opened mydoor that was locked with the chain from inside, making a huge noise, Icouldnt go back to sleep. Also the cleaning ladies talk way too loud!Breakfast needs more International dishes like scramble eggs, breads, and plae of fruits.
Review 44:I ike the fast check in, nice clean sheets.
Review 45:Nope, nothing.
Review 46:Provides room for transit, especially for long haul flights. Glad to have the privacy when extremely exhausted from flight. Convenient location, reasonable room size for a transit hotel, clean.
Review 47:Use donnas and not blankets as they might have been used by others. It is essential to see clean linen throughout.
Review 48:Convenience of being in transit to next flight
Review 49:Food service was mediocre, and a real surprise that it was not included in room cost.
Review 50:Convenience is the key. Location was perfect, ease of access to gates excellent. Quiet and easy to get a good few hours sleep. Facilities clean, wireless service very good and easy, perfect for short stay. Rates are fair.
Review 51:The door could not be propped open for our stroller and was very heavy to hold open.
Review 52:The location of the hotel. Didn't even have to leave the airport.
Review 53:Room fairly noisy. Lack of information as to exactly what facilities (cafes, etc.) are in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
Review 54:Convenient location. Reasonable tariff.
Review 55:The price is a bit hefty--around $120 for 12 hours. But, considering that Incheon is an hour from Seoul and that my layover was overnight, it was worth the price in terms of convenience.
Review 56:The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet (it faced the terminal, not the runway). There were blackout curtains and everything was incredibly neat and clean. They provided plugs for all devices and even had toiletries in the bathroom (soap, shampoo, shower cap, etc). They checked me in very quickly and the staff was helpful and informative.
Review 57:I didn't get a wake up call; I was called at my checkout time, which replaced my planned relaxed departure plan with a mad dash - something I don't handle very well at my age. It is ALWAYS the guest's responsibility to ensure the front desk has it written down correctly.
Review 58:This "Transit Passenger Only" Facility is reliably clean, reasonably comfortable, & especially convenient, compared to clearing Passport Control & Customs then shuttling to a local hotel, only to sleep and return the next day to reverse the process and continue travelling.
Review 59:Nobody told me that breakfast was not included in the price. So I set an alarm not to miss it. If I knew it in advance, I would better sleep as long as I need. It was hard and uncomfortable to wake up. And meal was not in a right time for me.
Review 60:Location is fantastic, just what you need after exausting flight. Bed and everything is Ok, room is small, but cover all basic needs. And it's just several minutes from gates, so we slept till the very last moment. It was great!
Review 61:Very small bed - ours was about the size of a North American double. Walls are thin – we were awaken by the sound of the hairdryer in the next room. Limited space for two travellers - I ended up putting my luggage in front of the door. No kettle to make tea. No food anywhere in this part of the airport after 10 PM, with the food court closed by 9:30.
Review 62:Very small clean basic room that meets the purpose - a clean place to sleep during a layover. Two 110 volt (North American) plugs and one 220 volt(European) plug on the desk, and a 220 on the wall. No clock radio but you can ask for a wakeup call. (Or use the alarm app on your phone.) Window shades block out most of the light. Strong WIFI. Tip: You will need a boarding pass to enter the transit area where the hotel is located as you have to go through airport security all over again when you go from the arrivals to the departure area. Depending upon which part of the terminal your orginating flight arrives at, a boarding pass may be hard to come by after about 9PM as there are no late night departures from this part of the airport. Insist that your carrier issue your Seoul boarding pass at your originating airport.
Review 63:When I called to ask where the advertised coffee/tea pot was, I was told it was only in deluxe rooms; yet a maid brought me a hot pot soon after I called. I was grateful (in my simple, standard room) and comfortable on a 15-hour layover.
Review 64:Front desk argued over one lousy box of peanuts even though earlier another staff member had assured us we would not be charged. Room charges too high for only 12 hrs...We will look into alternate options for next time
Review 65:Location of property, convenient to get to. Bed comfortable and room was quiet and relaxing at night
Review 66:Wifi was problematic. A pay for use one kept overlaying the free one on my phone. Laptop was ok though.
Review 67:I like the convenience of not having to go in and out of immigration. The Medina (?) Lounge is pretty good value.
Review 68:There really wasn't anything I didn't like.
Review 69:The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. I really enjoyed the shower.
Review 70:I thought it was great not having the bother of going out through immigration and then not having to check in early the following morning and go through immigration again. The hotel is room is small but very comfortable and quiet. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Review 71:There was no hot water (a malfunction of some kind) and the rooms are very small.
Review 72:Location and the half-day rate. All we wanted was a place to crash for a few hours. This hotel filled the bill.
Review 73:the airport stores shut down at dusk, it becomes almost a ghost town, food variety is limited. took half a hour to find the transit hotel. the int'l gate was a mad house with hundreds trying to squeeze to their other flights.
Review 74:the airport is like a small city, with sights & sounds
Review 75:Difficulty in finding my way from the airplane through the "maze" one has to maneuver to get to your hotel. The way should be better marked or have someone greet us and help us find our way.
Review 76:Restaurant very good especially the all you can drink beer. Excellent massage facility: massage therapist "Lee" was great.
Review 77:It was very difficult to get light meal around the hotel and a buffet of the hotel was very expensive. The hotel didn`t accept that I leave luggage at the hotel until my checkin time and there were no locker around the hotel.
Review 78:The location was within the immigration so it was very easy to get to the hotel even I was with a young child. Checkin and out time was very flexible.
Review 79:absurdly overpriced. and the price for breakfast was 22 dollars. no tea/coffee maker in room as promised. when I asked for it, the staff brought me two teabags, no sugar, no cup. Pathetic. They expected me to drink hot tea from a glass. When I asked for a cup, they were rude and nasty. they were ten minutes late with my wake up call. Second stay here. they have you over a barrel if you want to try and sleep during an eight or ten hours layover.
Review 80:location. plenty of hot water for a shower.
Review 81:I would pay more for the room if breakfast was included. Too expensive.
Review 82:Clean, simple room with just enough to get us through 12 hour layover. I like how completely dark it was with lights out to make sleeping easier.
Review 83:Staff on check in were a bit rude in attitude.
Review 84:Location was good, no need for leaving airport. Comfortable night sleep after long flight Wifi was good as it is throughout the whole airport. Room was clean, tidy and comfortable for a night stayover
Review 85:that I had to buy toothbrush/paste and shaving razor/cream because I'd left mine in my luggage (there are many business hotels where you can get simple, complimentary ones)
Review 86:Nice for a long stopover at the airport; don't expect much; the room is small but clean and the bed is comfortable
Review 87:Sound travels and the doors are quite heavy so they tend to slam. I'm a light sleeper and due to others going in and out I found it hard to actually sleep. Everything was very nice aside from that.
Review 88:It was very clean and comfortable and staff were helpful
Review 89:No bar, no restaurant, no concierge -- don't mistake this for a hotel. It's a place to sleep, shower, and wait for your flight. However, for those 3 essential things, it's fantastic.
Review 90:You don't leave the airport security zone, you just sleep, shower, and rest. It's perfect for a long layover. Perfect.
Review 91:Was a little pricy- but perhaps I booked too late or for a busy day. Would have liked breakfast to be included.
Review 92:Very convenient- quick access after getting off of flight. As already in departures lounge- no need to hurry off in the morning. I was able to select when my 12 hour booking started and chose 8pm-8am.

Review 107:Very convenient location in the transit area.
Review 108:under the construction, it was noisy night
Review 109:Could not operate air-conditioning. Staff did not follow me to show a room. It would be great to include complimentary breakfast.
Review 110:poor service and expensive.
Review 111:The location
Review 112:There is no electrical kettle to have hot tea or coffee which shall be part of free service for this money.

The Fine Print
At time of booking, guests are asked to inform the hotel on their flight details and check-in/out time. This hotel is located within the airport's departure hall. If a guest passes the immigration and leaves the departure hall, he or she will not be allowed to pass through security and re-enter the departure hall even with a reservation at the hotel. The hotel strongly advises guests to check out at least 2 hours before their flight departure time.---From the departure hall's East side, take Exit No. 11 from the 3rd floor, and an escalator to the 4th floor. From the departure hall's West side, take Exit No. 43 from the 3rd floor, and an escalator to the 4th floor.
