Review 1：The chef at the restaurant on the premises did a lovely tea meal.the steak was cooked to what the husband wanted could cut it with a butter knife.garlic prawns were lovely.would go back

Review 6：Not a BAD experience but there is room for improvement in the general upkeep of the rooms and the pool was not kept in very good order, the water was not all that clear and very highly chlorinated. The whole complex shows a need for a GOOD maintainance "person". Stayed in APT 4 and no towel rails ???

Review 8：We reached Cairns after a flight from Tokyo at 6ish in morning and had another connecting flight at 7pm, the same day. I made a special request while booking explaining the early check in and same day check out. I received a 'confirmation of booking' email and thought everything was okay. Upon reaching the lady at the counter told me it wasn't possible to check in at that time as the room wasn't available. I wasn't communicated the same through email and was particularly disappointed at how dry and rude she was. It didn't matter if she couldn't offer us a room, what did appaul me was the lack of common attitude one should posses when working in hospitality. She did offer us a room after charging $20 extra, but I wasn't happy with her general attitude and would never return.

Review 9：Arrived late at night and had to navigate though the property in the semi dark with no idea where our room was located. Which was right up the back on the 2nd floor. Signage was poor.

Review 13：the facility smelt like alcohol and the venue was untidy inconsistent and would really benefit from a general vlean up and tidy. the gardens were overgrown and rubbish was in the ponds. massisve holes and pipes in walls where work was started and not completed. limited to no parking. Balconies was way to small as they had tables and chairs that took up 3/4 of the entire space. other guests were hanging there washing on the rails of the balcony. the room was not cleaned. beds weren't made rubbish still in the room dishes left uncleaned and left in the sink. the rooms were inconsistent with different stlye bedding and furniture.Staff who were then requested to clean the room were witnessed drinking with other guests not a great look for the business.Would never stay there ever again and would never encourage anyone to use this place as a place of leisure or recreation.

Review 14：The WIFI is NON existent.. hopeless. connectivity was impossible. The restaurant is a rip off with " no brand" wine at $28 per bottle. The toilet leaked .. floor was a lake. The staff had complaints before .. nothing done.

We only had one night there but for basic level accommodation it was comfortable and clean, not fancy but certainly perfectly acceptable budget accommodation. It's practically over the road from all the car rental shops, so also good for car pickups/ drop offs.

Review 43：The blinds in the room which cover the sliding entry door, didn't protect you from walkers by watching you sleep. We had a single bed which was situated at the entry to the room with no privacy and used a chair at night to push the curtain against the glass sliding door.

There were smokers on the balconies surrounding us. The restaurant was not open due to lack of staff, I guess. Overpriced for the tiny space with no view. Our room stank of mildew.

Review 52：Location is very close to the city centre. I left my pillow at the motel and advised reception that it I left it in their room after we had checked out and were in transit to Mackay. Reception staff advised that they would keep it at the hotel until my father would return to pick it up two weeks later. Very pleased that they are able to do so.

Review 53：The cigarette smoke was rank throughout the outside complex and rooms. I felt unsafe arriving to book in at 1030. There were beer bottles on the lip of the pool. This is not for families or single females.

Review 59：There were so many cockroaches, I couldn't even count them. The Windows are all left open so the amount of bugs in that place was unbelievable. Beds weren't clean-ick!

The walls were paper thin and as we were in the lower apartment we could hear everything including the constant running of a child across the floor. The location is in the dodgy looking part of Cairns.

Review 71：After I booked a 60m2 room. I upgraded through this site and paid extra for an 80m2 room. I phoned and booked for an extra bed agreeing to pay an additional $15 per night for the bed (i was unable to do this through booking.com). On arrival, i did not have the extra bed (another guest had the same problem on arrival) and I was booked into the 60m2 room, even though i paid for the upgrade. Booking said King Bed received Queen. The shower leaked all over the bathroom floor leaving puddles.

Review 72：The attempt from staff to accommodate bad management was good but I was still left disattisfied. Staff other than management was pleasant.

Review 85：There was a door joining our room with the next room and when the neighbours came in you could hear them and their Tv and Music could be heard quite loud through the door.

Review 86：The Motel was fairly close to the town Centre and shopping Mall easy walking distance to everything. There was a swimming pool and it had a Bar and Restaurant which was good. For the money paid over all it was fairly good value.

Review 90：Our room described as 'overlooking the pool' actually opened onto a dark passageway with ashtrays for smokers. Wifi described as in 'all areas' was only available in said passageway. The off street parking was never available.I checked we had a microwave, and assumed, but didn't specify a toaster - my oversight. There was none. Our vented bathroom window was over the skip bin, and the aromas could not be excluded. The bed linen was crumpled, so I was seriously concerned - but did see staff carrying armfuls of unfolded clean sheets to make up the rooms. Add to that disinterested reception staff at check in, we're not impressed!

Worse part was the sliding glass door to patio had a broken lock so a chain had been fitted to wall / felt very unsafe as door could be opened about 10 inches from outside.

Review 116：pool was refreshing. The room we booked for a couple had a double bed and 1 single bed. We stayed for 6 nights and our daughter, who arrived unexpectedly stayed for 3 of those nights for no extra charge. We were given extra towels, cutlery, plates whenever we asked. It was an easy walk to the centre of town and there was a supermarket, pizza and Thai takeaways only 2 blocks away.

Review 117：On the third day there was a smell of raw sewage in our room, under thefridge in the morning. We reported ito the reception who said it wouldbe addressed by housecleaning, it was not. We were moved to a new room- where there was mould in the shower, the couches were so old therewas no cushioning in the seats. They were little more than fabric overwire. One of us was expected to sleep on one of these as we had afamily of five. It was so bad I refused to stay there for fear ofcatching something - and walked out on the last three nights commitmentto stay there and paid for an entirely new stay at the Cairns SheridanHotel, instead.

Review 119：We could hear every noise from the rooms on either side of us every night; to the point of the person's alarm going off at 5.30am Saturday morning. The shower was unclean and the towels were drenched after one use.

Review 120：Everything. Phone could only call reception and not external When I told reception they said, "well you're lucky your room must be the only one with a phone!" Other guests in the main were only there for one thing, which we hard plenty of during the night. Disgusting.

Review 121：Nothing at all, it was socking in every aspect. Room was dirty, blankets ripped. Was full of prostitutes and older shabby looking men. No soap in bathroom. 1 coat hanger. One chair at a small table for a double room disgusting. We gave up our second night, first time ever.

Review 128：Our stay wasn't the best. If you or your family do not like cigarette smell, then this isn't the place for you. Most rooms face the pool and guests are permitted to smoke on their verandahs, so when I was watching my kids swimming it stunk. The toilet in our room was constantly running and noisy. We booked a tour to an island after seeing a sign for "10% off all tours"... we weren't informed that the 10% off is only for the deposit taken by the motel. So for a tour that was over $400, we saved $8 or so. We had people knocking on our door and playing music after 11pm right outside our room. We also went out for dinner and arrived back at our room about 8.30pm only to be greeted by a truck driver staying there for the night, he told us our kids needed to be quiet or else. When checking out the lady in reception was rude and didn't have any interest in asking about our stay or even greeting us as we walked through the door. The shower curtain was about 20cm too high, so the water went all over the floor. We wouldn't stay there again or recommend this place for families.
