Reviews for SommaVilla B&B

Review 1:We fell in love with the beautiful home the minute we arrived. The residence was immaculate in all aspects. This is the most memorable event of our vacation. We will definitely return again.

Review 2:A lovely place to stay with a pool. Fabulous views and very peaceful. Very good breakfast. A little out of the way but not too far from Vicchio where there were good restaurants.

Review 3:Charming German host, impeccable rooms with great bathroom, nice pool area with stunning view, nice breakfast, relaxing atmosphere (jazzy music playing in the living area), good location for exploring northern Tuscany (Florence, Pisa, Lucca, Casentino)

Review 4:Nothing

Review 5:Petra was an amazing host, offering us chilled white wine on arrival which was much needed in the 40 degree heat! The room was beautiful, the right mix of modern and traditional with lovely beams. The pool was amazing with incredible views across the Tuscan hills. Breakfast was a classic Italian mix of cake, fresh bread, ham and cheese. Delicious! All in all would definitely stay again and for longer!

Review 6:We stayed in the hotel just one night and we regret the only thing - our stay was too short. If you want to feel the atmosphere like in the movie about Tuscany - this is the place. The owner Petra, is fullfilling all your wishes - a glass of wine as a welcome drink, a bottle of cold prosecco, booking the table for dinner for the best Bistecca di Fiorentina, etc..

Review 7:Amazing hostess. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she even dropped us into town (as we didn't have a car). Incredible setting for a relaxing few days would recommend to everyone!

Review 8:Petra, the owner, made us feel like we were the only people there. She makes you feel that welcome. Nothing is too much trouble for her. The place itself is one of the best We've stayed in. If not the best we stayed at while we were in Italy. The views are stunning and the local restaurants Petra directed us to are wonderful.

Review 9:Beautiful country home, with lovely rooms and views to die for. Petra, the owner is a fabulous lady, couldn't do enough for us and made us so welcome (including a glass of chilled white on arrival!). We had a gorgeous traditional homemade Tuscan evening meal cooked for us which we shared with three other couples around a huge table. Breakfast was great with a lovely selection, again with locally sourced produce. The location of this villa is stunning, so peaceful with views from the pool terrace across a beautiful valley. A fabulous experience, we will be re-booking!

Review 10:The hosts, the view, the room, the breakfast. This is one of the few places that i checked out wishing that i could have stayed longer, also thinking that I would have been happy paying double what I did without an ounce of regret. With a stunning view from the room, gazing down the valley is a mind cleansing experience. We were taken care of by a wonderful host in Giuliano and getting to know him in all be it a short period of time was an absolute pleasure. Staying here has so far been the highlight of our trip. We will definately come back.here again.

Review 11:Petra did everything possible to make us feel welcomed and comfortable, and was full of tips and info on the area. The B&B is lovely, old-styled with stylish modern touches and an awesome view from our bedroom. Good breakfast (unusual for Italy). Highly recommend!

Review 12:Me and my husband have been stayed at Sommavilla for five unforgettable days. Everything was just perfect. The complete atmosphere associated me to one of the Federico Fellini's films: La dolce vita. In this case I should say: La dolce villa..

Review 13:Lovely location, great rooms with superb bathroom. Excellent breakfast, very friendly, treated like friends, and we would certainly go again.

Review 14:No air conditioning made it difficult to sleep in the height of summer.

Review 15:Petra the owner was extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome.

Review 24:No airconditioning.

Review 25:Friendly owners, nice spacious and clean rooms. Breakfast was the best we had in italy! We definately recommend a stay here.

Review 26:Highly recommended

Review 27:If you are looking for tranquility and silence this is the perfect place. The house is up the hill, no neighbours, with stunning view to the valley and a nice pool. Worth trying Mario's cooking, he's an excellent chef, we managed to taste real local food, which is delicious. Petra helped us a lot when looking for places to see and speaks perfect English, so no language barriers at all. Florence quite near, but also some other nice places to visit too, the region is beautiful.
