Reviews for Swissgarden Café & Guesthouse
Review 1:The plumbing wasn't great. The shower didn't have much pressure most of the time and the water wouldn't flow away, so the bathroom turned into a pool. But really no biggie!
Review 2:One of the nicest rooms we stayed at during our trip to Cambodia. The bed was super comfortable and we had a real shower! Sylvio went out of his way to make us feel at home and helped us with everything he could! Extraordinary service!
Review 3:Water flow is bad. Construction next door.
Review 4:The owner is really friendly. Nice garden. 100m to the beach. Rooms are big and modern. AC works good. The food is tasty.
Review 5:Està situat a una platja molt concorreguda de la ciutat. No és la més tranquil·la. -------- Located on a crowded beach, not the quietest one in the city.
Review 6:Instal·lacions correctes i bon esmorzar. Personal atent. ----- Good facilities and breakfast. Helpful staff.
Review 7:building work going on next door so a little noisy in the mornings and the road wasn't wonderful.
Review 8:very comfortable great value for money. Being adopted by one the hotel's cats who decided he was going to share my room ay every possible chance.
Review 9:Terrible water pressure - shower and fawcett barely dripped Aircon took a long time (several hours) to get going
Review 10:Good location near the beach Nice, friendly staff Nice rooms
Review 11:With two beautiful islands at 45 minutes by boat, Sihanoukville isn't definitely the place where you want to stay..
Review 12:Out of the loud music of Serendipity beach, but still 10 minutes walking away, quiet. The owner is very kind and helpful.
Review 13:we blew a circuit breaker in our room and it took awhile to find someone to fix it even though it was only 9pm. we had a painted window that didn't open, so the room was dim and a little claustrophobic.
Review 14:the bathroom in our room was very large, with a stone wall in the shower and excellent hot water. the beds were comfortable and the place was quiet and well-maintained.
Review 15:Only water pressure wasn't good.
Review 16:Location close to beaches and places to eat,but also tucked on a side straight very quiet in the evenings. We loved the staff.
Review 17:No breakfast included in the price which we though where a bit pricy for Cambodia standard. TV didn't really work properly, which wasn't a big deal. In overal too expensive for a simple guesthouse.
Review 18:The staff was very friendly. Very close to the beach and far away enough not to be distrub by the party zone on the beach. Internet was super worked all the time. Room was clean and comfort at night with the mosquito net for the bed.
Review 19:there was noting of any significance that we did not like.
Review 20:The service provided by Peter, Victoria and Moni was excellent. There were four us and we all enjoyed three wonderful day at Swisshotel and Garden.
Review 21:Nothing.
Review 22:Wow, that's all we can say. After two weeks in Cambodia, this European attitude was exactly all we needed. The hotel owners are a Swiss couple who take their stay in Cambodia as a mission to help local people. You can for example buy some goods such as jewelry and handbags made by local women in the hotel reception, they advice you where to eat to contribute to the local community. The hotel is close to one of the busiest beach in tho whole city, close to good restaurants, but a bit far away from the city centre. The owners will kindly help you to organise your bus tickets or one of the huge number of the trips to the nearby sites. Their three cats are funny and friendly. Nice garden where you can enjoy a breakfast or just chill out. Wi-fi connection is perfect throughout the whole premise.
Review 23:Anything is good, just at night the power is off 10 minutes. never mind, it ok.
Review 24:clean room, friendly staff, good position, here is a small guest house, but very comfortable garden, with 3 friendly cats the guest house is managed by a couple come from Swissland, several minutes you could go to the beach, very good place,at night you could enjoy the sky stars in the sofa in the small garden if possible, definitely will come again.
Review 25:It is ideally located for Serendipity beach (right on it's doorstep!) but slightly further out from the town than most hostels! They can call you tuk tuks anytime for only $2 so not bad at all!
Review 26:The family that own Swiss Garden are very friendly, welcoming, go out their way to help you and gave us great tips on the best beaches and restaurants. Very clean and comfortable rooms! Lovely place for some more chilled out time!
Review 27:Silvio is the best in what he's doing Perfect
Review 28:Location is poorly lit, $2 tuktuk ride to and from main town
Review 29:Comfortable, well priced, good European food.
Review 30:Good location, away from noise and the party zone, but close enough.
Review 31:Very nice staff, clean and comfy rooms, close to the beach

Review 42:-uncomfortable bed -very expensive in Sihanoukville you can have a beautiful hotel with the same price!! -shower very slow
Review 43:friendly staff
Review 44:The room was a bit sketchy overall. There was quite a big stain on the bed when we arrived, as well as floor and wall. The water from the showers had an unpleasant smell (a little eggy).
Review 45:Friendly owner Comfortable bed Room has AC and spacious
Review 46:Bathroom is a bit dump and the water pressure in the shower is very low, but in the end for the price it was absolutely fair
Review 47:Peter ,the owner , was very friendly and helpful, giving us tips about our next destinations
Review 48:Some rooms are a bit dark. Room decoration could be renewed.
Review 49:Very clean and well maintained guest house. Good Swiss food (roesti and spatzli). Very kind and helpful Swiss owners. In case of power-cuts they do have a generator !
Review 50:Very little water pressure in the shower
Review 51:Right across the street from a great beach, clean white sand. Lots of choices for restaurants, pubs and bars but the hotel is on a quiet street
Review 52:Water pressure is a bit on the low side, no fridge in rooms
Review 53:Great attention to detail, Swiss quality controll. Peter, the owner running the show is a great host, looking out 4 all details, always ready with a smile and help, speaking several languages, English, French, German, and ? :D A place for the more mature, quality crowds, definitely not for the party folks.
Review 54:The bathroom smelt like a sewer and their were dead cockroaches, one in the bathroom and two or three in de bedroom.
Review 55:The staff was very nice and helpfull, great location near the beach and at night it is quiet. Big room, nice terrace
Review 56:I loved my stay here. The staff was great and the owners are the best (thanks Peter & Moni). Location is awesome, just 300m to the beach and it was really calm, perfect for some relaxing days. The food made me feel back at home (Khmer and Swiss food) and I really recommend it. I would stay definitely again.
Review 57:Bathroom smells really really bad!!!!!! Many mosquitos, spiders and other bugs. Roof was leaking and water dripped on the floor - but this was of a temporary nature only, so dont worry.
Review 58:Very friendly owners!
Review 59:Really lovely staff, really makes you feel at home. Rooms are a good size, and clean. Location is reasonably good - you will need a short tuk tuk ride to get to main areas. Would stay again!
Review 60:There are some mosquitoes outside.
Review 61:Stuff (Owners) are really really nice and help you whenever you need something. Rooms are really big. Separated bathroom are modernized and really comfortable. Breakfast is very delicious, especially the home-made jam. 24h security. Location is not too close but not too far away from the bars and the nightlife, so its possible to walk but its quite around the hotel. Beach is 100 meters away. You should book their own Tuk-Tuk driver to drive you around the whole day (Waterfalls, monkey feeding, market, Antonov airplane, etc.), it was a perfect day!
Review 62:The staff at the Swissgarden Café and Guesthouse were warm andwelcoming. The breakfasts were filling, the homemade jams were amazing. The guesthouse is in a quiet location a mere 100m from Ochheuteal beach.Wifi connection was good. The room was clean and large enough for thetwo of us for 3 nights.
Review 63:The generator is really loud and woke me up twice when the power went out. Walking the last street late at night was a bit dark.
Review 64:The staff is great! Nice patio. Very clean room. AC worked. Comfy bed. Good security. New building. Location at the quiet end of the beach and nice walk down to the other end.
Review 65:Strong cleaning odour in our room, which wasn't in our friend'sroom. You can't open your windows. No "do not disturb"door hangers to put out. They don't take credit cards - only cash.
Review 66:Very pleasant and hospitable staff. Quiet location, 5 minute walk tobeach, good eating places, and good shopping. Real shower with heat-on-demand water heater. Excellent coffees, croissants, and homemadefruit jam. Feels very secure. Generator kicks in quickly when thepower goes off.
Review 67:The shower wasn't very good.
Review 68:The staff was very friendly and the location was very close to the beach (less than a 3 minute walk). It was an amazing place for what we paid (~160 for 6 nights).
Review 69:Nothing. But they do have 3 (adorable!) cats, so if you have badallergies, then be aware - although they do not enter rooms, andthere were no traces of cat in our room! Please note Room 5 does nothave a window, but this did not mean it was dark, and it was still alovely room!
Review 70:Staff, especially owner, Pietr, were very helpful and friendly. Helpedus book bus tickets, gave us suggestions. Hotel in excellent location,at quieter end of the beach, away from thumping music of Serendipity! 1min to the beach and various restaurants and bars. Sad I could not speakGerman, as the film nights they put on looked fun! Had a great stay, would recommend.
Review 71:Well guesthouse is a guesthouse, no view, small rooms, big cockroaches, cambodian ghetto around. But the owner is a very pleasant guy and he had no objections for us to move.
