Review 1：Nice friendly family run hotel, with a great breakfast. The hotel is in a great location right in the town and easy to take a drive out to other places.Will book again.
Review 2：Wifi signal was poor in the bedrooms ( top floor), not able to book a car parking space before hand so had a little walk to the car park in town once unloaded. No plug in sink in bathroom!

Review 8：Within walking distance of the railway station, close to cafes and shops, with a great view of the castle. Quiet but convenient, and an excellent breakfast, and friendly and helpful staff.
Review 9：The step up into the bathroom was too high and the step into the shower was even higher making it dangerous. The seperate toilet was an odd shape and really difficult to use. The decoration in the hotel was drab and dark, not at all inviting.

Review 11：I stayed for Amstel Gold. I was so happy the hotel was in downtown Valkenburg--but NOT on the streets where the loud partying occurred. You could easily access those streets, but then retire to peace and quiet for bed. Friendly staff and nice breakfast spread. Room was good size, nicely clean, and bed was comfortable. Also, an unanticipated bonus was that the hotel is located near a public parking lot (where my bike was in my car).
Review 12：Charges for using a credit card. The rooms allowed noise from other guests and cleaners to spoil an otherwise quiet hotel. A bit mean on the coffee and milk left in the room.

Review 17：Everything about the hotel was extremely good from the location and the friendliness of the staff to the excellent decor for Christmas. The attention to detail in every regard was exceptional. Should we visit Valkenburg again we would definitely choose this hotel and would recommend it to any one would needed a good convenient base when visiting the Christmas markets.
Review 18：Toilet window only had ordinary glazing & no net curtain. Breakfast was from 8.30 on which was really a bit late :( other hotels are from 8) ...and lady in charge wasn't going to help. We had the ferry to catch

We were there to ride in the Amstel Gold Race tour version and there was a secure garage to keep our bikes in which was great and the hotel started breakfast early on the day of the ride so participants could eat before they started. This kind of attention to the needs of guests is what makes a difference. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and everything was fresh. The location of the hotel is also excellent. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Valkenburg.

The bedroom was the best equipped I have ever stayed in, the bathroom was lovely and the public areas were beautifully decorated for Christmas. The choice at the breakfast bar was excellent. It's a family run hotel, and they obviously love their work. The attention to detail was extraordinary. You meet candle lit dining everywhere, but breakfast by candle light? Lovely. I'm not a smoker, but my companions are, and they appreciated the smoking lounge, and not having to lurk outside in the street like pariahs. The situation of the hotel is very good. It's central for all the Christmas attractions, restaurants etc. but its tucked-away location makes it quite peaceful.

There is more often than not a work round these little inconveniences.
Review 78：Hotel Hulsman is just what I was looking for, a relatively small family run hotel, which was as friendly as was expected from a family run hotel. Large hotels tend not to have that personal touch. Location for us on this trip and potentially any other trip to the same place is ideal.We went for the Christmas Markets and the farthest was still only a ten minute amble.
