Review 1：We loved this hotel! It was not a typical hotel but more like a boutique hotel where each room was slightly different. Plenty of room for myself and my 2 daughters (ages 9 and 7). The room was clean, warm and the breakfast was really a nice touch! A lot of choices along with great coffee! There is ample parking below (very safe and easy to access). AND...just down the corner was a GREAT little restaurant that served amazing pizza (they started their brick oven just for us). We did drive into town but you could walk if the weather was nice! It was cold and well - we are from Spain :). The staff was very accommodating with providing directions and even helping assist us several times when we locked ourselves out of our room (did I mention I traveled with young kids?). Would strongly recommend this place.

Review 2：No so close to the city centre. You can still walk downtown but it takes a while. Bus number 2 stops just in front of the hotel and it brings you to the centre and to the railway station.

Review 4：It is not really close from the city center and takes at about 20 minutes to get there, but for us it was not a problem. It was really strange that our passports and our car key (even though the garage was almost empty) were kept at the reception till the bill has been paid. But it was not a big deal either.

Review 5：It is a small but high class hotel. Everything is very clean, good quality and nicely looking. Our room and beds were comfortable, the bathroom equipment was new and shining. We even got a small Christmas gift because it was right after the Christmas. There is a convenient underground garage, which costs only 5 euro. The breakfast is sufficient and the breakfast area looks very nice. We were allowed to check-out one hour later at no additional cost. The hotel staff is well trained and their service is professional. This hotel was a good value of our money and a good choice. We hope to be back sometime in the future.

Review 6：The staff was very helpful helping with a refund. The rooms were spotless and very quiet. Breakfast had a wide variety to choose from. Parking garage was very convenient.

Review 7：The room was extremely clean and updated. The bath was large. The outside shade rolled down and made the room dark and easy to sleep well. Breakfast was ample and everyone was happy. Enjoyed the little patio and ease of getting to other sights.

Secure parking, not too tight even with a people carrier. Good location for walking into the city centre (20 minutes) or driving to the motorway (10 minutes).

Review 17：A lazy morning and long breakfast is always a highlight when on a romantic break away.. sadly in this hotel the coffee, the breakfast choice and the service makes it a longer than necessary short and unsatisfying experience. Shame really - the place has potential!

Finally, retaining the keys of the car all the time is fine - however, we didn't buy it was for our 'car's safety': likely, someone run away from the hotel without paying and keeping the keys at the reception prevents that...

Review 61：I used to stay here often and it all looks the same even most of the staff. Nice quiet hotel, a 20 minutes’ walk and you are in the center. The only thing to complain about is the breakfast, let´s call the breakfast “Italian standard +” but nothing extra. Today you find hotels in center of Vicenza with better breakfast and same price level, and this is why I don´t stay in Doge as often as before.

Review 64：Didn't like the garish trompe l'oeil fresoes on the courtyard wall. Didn't like the erratic routes of the buses into Vicenza and there were none at all after 8pm. It was too far to walk for most people.

Review 76：Hotel Doge is about 10 to 15 min easy walk into the central part of Vicenza. Otherwise there is a bus stop nearby. This is small hotel with nice rooms, a good breakfast and off street parking. It has free wifi for Internet which worked well in our room on the 1st floor. Staff are very friendly and speak English. There is a ristorante on the next corner which serves reasonable food if you do not feel like the walk into Vicenza, There are some good restaurants in Vicenza and staff were happy to recommend and book for you. The 3star rating is probably appropriate.

Review 77：Heat control is a little difficult to get just right. Don't put chocolates on the desk as the heating element is hidden behind it! Desk in the Superior Single is way too small to be useful. Also, there is a lack of outlets by the desk for a laptop. Breakfast is a little light, though that may be par for the course in Italy.
