Reviews for Palazzo Sciacca

Review 1:Nothing in particular

Review 2:Beautiful and spacious room looking in a garden. The breakfast was very good with a variety of fresh fruits and many sweets and it is served in a beautiful garden. The hotel is in a 1700s palazzo. Great value for money.

Review 3:The two girls in charge of the breakfast were a little too "laid back"! They just seemed to stand around chatting to each other and to other staff - not very helpful!

Review 4:The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was just across the road from the beach ( a typical black gritty beach)!

Review 5:The overwhelmingly friendly greeting. After the crumbling facade, the interior gleams with ancient and extremely modern. Good recommendation for eating.

Review 6:Very friendly and nice in a great little town at the beach

Review 7:Beautiful building in a quiet beachfront town

Review 8:Breakfast was a bit lackluster but god the job done.

Review 9:Great location, very friendly staff

Review 10:noise throughout the night of vehicles on road outside (too cold to sleep with aircon, too hot to sleep without windows open); website didn't say that garden and pool were being refurbished; nor that hotel wasn't open for check-in till after 3 pm (although there was a number given on the door for us to ring and there was a small garden terrace and comfy seats for us to wait until Alessio arived an hour later)

Review 11:spacious room, free use of sun beds and parasol on beach which was just a few minutes' walk away; delicious breakfast; lovely decor throughout in both bedroom (themed by authors with quotes painted on wall) and dining area ('Good morning' in numerous languages and font styles/size). Owner Alessio very helpful and even drove us up to the Roman Villa and ensured we got in all right, was willing to come back and collect us when we finished even though it was only 15-20 minutes' walk. Could leave our luggage at Reception next morning to allow one more trip to beach before our train (in fact were allowed to hang on to the room till 11.30, as the hotel pool was unavailable)

Review 12:Breakfast is merely basic. The garden is in development and closed. You may sit on the small front terrace in the evening, but you'll be staring directly at gas station on the other side of the street. Marina di Patti is very small and does not offer anything spectacular except for the beach, which is sandy, but not really looked after. Only suitable as a base for a longer car trips in the area.

Review 13:An old palazzo with recently renovated modern rooms - clean and spacious. In our room there was a safe, a decent TV, comfortable bed and proper wifi. Staff is nice and welcoming, but does not speak much English. Public parking is possible to find, but you may have to drive around a bit. A sandy beach is less than 100 m from the hotel, but it's right in the city, so not really that great.

Review 14:The staff was practically non-existent. No one came up to our our roomswith us, and we couldn't figure out the heating, so we froze thefirst night. The breakfast was pitiful....even though they had anespresso machine, they couldn't seem to make the coffee hot. Thestaff was friendly, but kind of "checked-out". Just not therevery much. Wifi was so-so.

Review 15:Pool unavailable due to refurbishment

Review 16:Comfortable and well-furnished room. Helpful and attentive staff. Parking on road immediately in front of hotel.
