Reviews for Lina Ryad & Spa

Review 1:This was a perfect stay in Chefchaouen. The terrace views over the town are brilliant. Central location with easy walks around each point of the town. Rooms well appointed, clean and comfortable. The staff are warm and welcoming. Special shout out to Ibrahim. He is passionate about customer service and treats each guest as family. Breakfast quite nice.

Review 2:The room smell likes damped furniture. All sofas have stains. The bathroom makes you feel like you are in a 2 stars hotel. We were already assigned to a suite and according to the staff it is the best room. Totally not worth the price paid but unfortunately this is the only better hotel in this town.

Review 3:Nothing.

Review 4:1. The worst was the change Euros/ Dirham they made. The reservation with booking were 135 E/night and they charged us 1500 Dirham while the official change it should be 1430 and in most places the change was 1/10, that would be 1300 dirham. I think they do not want to use credit card and they charge extra for this. 2. There is no lift...and 3 floors, so very tiring for old people. 3. There is not a real spa only a small pool without hot water that nobody uses. 4. We arrived at 4pm and had to wait because our rooms were not ready yet

Review 5:Localization, design of the rooms. The views from the terrace Personal try to be helpful but you miss somebody in charge that new local culture, etc. They are very nice receptionists with a good language level the same you could find in any luxury hotel chain but they lack the charm of a Ryad owner

Review 6:Because we needed two beds, we had a room without view. For a couple who can get a standard double, the views are spectacular. Many rooms have balconies.

Review 7:Beautiful facilities, lovely staff who were always willing to help. Very nice breakfast. Abundant hot water (a luxury for a Californian used to drought and short showers)

Review 8:It would be perfect if lower the price of hammam and massage

Review 9:Very peaceful place in the town. The swimming pool can be booked for guests in private use. The crew is very kind and helpful.

Review 10:N/a

Review 11:Great location. Hire a porter upon arrival to find the hotel. People are wonderful in this town. Ibrahim the manager is a true treasure for this property. The rooftop restaurant was amazing. Can't wait to go back and spend more time in this magical place, and use this Hotel as a home base.

Review 12:It is noisy at night but that is just because children play in the streets late on summer evenings and if you want to be in the medina there will be noise.

Review 13:I liked the staff who were almost too helpful. They are lovely people and couldn't do enough for us...they arranged drivers, helped us find guides...

Review 14:Noise! Pool not inviting Shower head broken

Review 15:Very loud and difficult to sleep. The air conditioner not great and shower needs to be repaired. Staff lovely and accommodating.

Review 16:FANTASTIC, AWESOME, SINCERE SERVICE from the manager. Arrange transport for us to Fez at no extra cost/commission for his side. Fantastic breakfast, Awesome coffee. Could not ask for more.

Review 17:My only real downer for this place was the indoor swimming pool & high steps. We came with 2 other families, all with kids. All the kids were using the pool one afternoon however we were told NOT to jump around as the pool overflows and the water comes into the main foyet. Bad design I think for definite or they should cordone the water off somewhere. You cant tell kids NOT to jump and enjoy a pool. So we all had to be careful. You also need to book the pool so it can be yours to enjoy for up to an hour. Regarding the tall stairs, this is a converted Ryad (Riad), and almost ALL Ryads' in Morocco have high steps leading upstairs. This Ryad has 4 floors and no lift. Its just something to be mindful off in you have small children. Please note, we didnt have a problem in this Ryad, its just something I'm pointing out to anyone else who wishes to stay in ANY Ryad.

Review 18:Its a nice little spot tucked about 5 mins away from the main square. The staff were very friendly & attentive to your needs. Breakfast is very good quality and filling. Family friends of ours also staying with us enjoyed a tagine and said it was very good compared to the local Chefchaoen restaurants outside.Wifi worked with no issue which is always a good sign. Overall - very happy.

Review 19:Healthier breakfast food with avocado and fruit would be nice. Price is a bit on the expensive side relative to the rest of Chefchaouen.

Review 20:Amazing, exceptional staff (the best I had on all of my Morocco experience). Wonderful location. Beautiful terrace.

Review 21:Horrible wifi.

Review 22:absolutely wonderful hotel! The staff were extremely friendly and did what they could to make our stay enjoyable. The suite was beautiful and huge and we ate dinner on our terrace every single night! It was an incredible experience!

Review 23:There was nothing that I did not like.

Review 24:The hotel staff were all so kind and helpful. The concierge, Ibrahim, was so knowledgeable and helpful! The entire staff made our experience at Lina Ryad that much more special and memorable.

Review 25:Fantastic experience. Very friendly staff and a great place to stay if you're looking to stay within the Medina.. The food at the hotel is simply divine!

Review 26:It seemed the the staff where young inexperienced but they were trying there hardest to please and provide a good service. The room was very nice and opened but at night the noisy atmosphere was very load and lasted all night, if we need not have ear plugs it would have been hard to sleep, (maybe this was because of Ramadam?

Review 27:The Location was good The View from the Room was Excellent The presentation of the Property was very nice

Review 28:The street noises went late into the night and could be heard in the rooms.

Review 29:The staff at Lina Ryad was wonderful. They were extremely friendly and accommodating and did everything they could to make our visit pleasant, including arranging for taxi pickup to and from the Moroccan border. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very comfortable and clean. The breakfast was fantastic -- we had an assortment of Moroccan pastries, fresh orange juice and eggs. The spa treatments were very nice as well. Location was perfect.

Review 30:We felt that the Riad was overpriced for what it had to offer. We also did not meet any owners. Only employes who were well trained and helpful.

Review 31:We loved the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful location. Our top floor suite had a terrace which gave us a great view of the city down below. The pool and spa were quiet and private. The place was also very quiet and the bed was extremely comfortable. The breakfast was excellent

Review 32:The stairs (no elevator)

Review 33:The Riad was lovely but for mature people a bit of a climb to get to it plus lots of stairs. The pool looked lovely and the roof garden was a lovely place to eat and have drinks. The staff was very accommodating..

Review 34:Stairs. So many stairs. But that's true of most places in Chaouen. No elevator so ask to stay on a low floor if like my mother you can't climb steep stairs.

Review 35:Super clean and comfortable. Beautiful big rooms. Attentive service. Ah-MAZING goat tagine and Moroccan salad. Have the nos-nos coffee (coffee with milk) I'm seriously craving it right now. Enjoy!

Review 36:The person at the front desk had to serve breakfast, work as concierge and problem solver, check people in and out, etc, which meant that everything required painful waits -- not at all his fault. He should have help. Our dinner upstairs was about 45 min. late. Wifi came and went.

Review 37:Location, pretty room

Review 38:A little hard to find - you need a local guide (we paid him $2). The hotel is not marked on the outside in any manner.

Review 39:It was clean, comfortable and very pleasant. Very nice rooftop terrace to see the city. Staff was very professional and accommodating.

Review 40:no elevator

Review 41:Riad Lina is a beautiful cosy hotel in a great central location that is walking distance from the main square of Chefchaouen, a lot of little shops and restaurants. The staff were very helpful and friendly, made our staff feel like home. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated.

Review 42:My overall impression of the hotel and staff is very pleased, I am very happy that I have made the right choice by choosing Lina Ryad thanks to people like Ebrahim and Anas who were great.

Review 43:The view was Spectacular from our terrace, the entire staff super helpful.special thanks to the lovely spa lady who gave us the Most fabulous foot and leg treatment! Much needed after all the up and down s of Chefchaouen

Review 44:We had to leave the hotel because our stay was up.

Review 45:Best experience in Morocco. It was majestic, comfortable, beautiful, relaxing, and I could go on. Ibrahim and the rest of the staff accommodated our every need. My mother had a special request for dinner and they went above and beyond to prepare a beautiful dinner on the rooftop for my family on our last night. Facilities were clean, beds were comfortable, location was perfect. We couldn't be happier.

Review 46:Our rooftop suite with balcony offered fantastic views of the old city -- best I've seen in four or five visits to Chefchaouen. We also loved the spa and small indoor pool.

Review 47:Lina Ryad & Spa is absolutely amazing hotel. Everything was top notch great. The staff, the rooms, the facilities, the location, the breakfast (omg it was delicious), the hammam (it was so luxurious and good). Worth every penny!

Review 48:Might be important for some: - no tv channels - not perfect wifi - challenging to find the hotel - not perfect sound proofing

Review 49:- private indoor pool - view - interior design - warm in winter

Review 50:They only offer a usb with a few movies for the television...

Review 51:Everything, Ibrahim was the most gracious host you could ask for, Very welcoming and accommodating, The spa and oriental bath was very nice and relaxing, and the pool was beautiful. the room was fantastic, with a beautiful bathroom and shower. The bed was the nicest bed i've slept in since being in Morocco, great amenities in the room (water, shower accessories, hair dryer, etc.) They offer a very good breakfast, We didn't try the dinner menu, but if it's anything like breakfast, it must be delicious…A very quiet Riad, a must stay if your in beautiful Chefchaouen. Kind of hard to find, there isn't any signs, but we found it, and once we did we were very satisfied….

Review 52:Nothing to mention

Review 53:Charming Riad in a charming city, with a geniuenly caring staff. We recommand very much their restauration where the moroccan cuisine is deliciously cooked. The top of the riad is nicely set, perfect to see the sunset behind the mountains and on the top of the city, sipping a fresh clementine juice or moroccan tea. The riad offers free beverages all day long.

Review 54:The staff treated us as though we were guests in their own home. Ibrahim and team were warm, genuine and accommodating. The place itself was beautiful and in a great location. Everything about our stay was absolutely perfect.

Review 55:When people talk in the pool, everyone hears the conversation in the rooms even with closed windows. TV wasn't working in our room but not sure if it was just in our room or all over.

Review 56:The rooms, the view and the location as well as the service were more than great. We would definitely return again.

Review 57:This riad is the most gorgeous place in chefchuan. The staff is so kind and helpful. Location is center and comfortable and the rooms are amazing. We would defiantly go back there. With kids or not. Spa treatments are wonderful too.

Review 58:The hotel name is Lina SPA but massage for only women not for men. Hotel is good but price was high for that hotel standarts.

Review 59:Service, staff, location was good.

Review 60:abd rahim the man in the reception he is a magiiic man without him the riad worht nothing , and also the guardboy anass he is awsome he walk with me to show me the way and also stayed with me until my way back , respect for abd rahim and anass . Hands UP

Review 61:Service by the staff was excellent; Ibrahim was very sweet to us and helped us with directions and recommendations on where to go and what to see. Our room was beautiful and had a view of the medina - stunning. We had a wonderful stay here and would definitely come back again!

Review 62:Nothing at all.

Review 63:Everything about the riad was likeable and much appreciated. The staff are extremely heluful, efficient and friendly. Our best wishes to Candelaria & Fatima (Namaste, Fatima)! Tasty breakfast. Very comfortable and well equipped room. Swimming pool, spa and hammam for those who wish to use the facilities - quite expensive, though.

Review 64:Nothing. Call ahead to learn nearest parking locations to riad since the riad is inside the medina.

Review 65:Everything. Comfortable rooms, excellent staff, wonderful location, excellent views. We didn't stay long enough to use the heated pool or spa, but the facilities looked perfectly maintained and very tempting.

Review 66:We loved the hotel so much we returned for a second stay. Max, ibrahim and all the staff made us feel like family. They cared for us so well, arranging transport, travel and assistance with everything we asked for. Our favourite times were the beautiful dinner served on the roof top terraces and the refreshing orange juices everytime we asked. THANKYOU max and ibrahim especially

Review 67:Hard to find by car. You need to park in Parador Hotel and ask furtherinstructions. As is usual in Morocco, various helpers will materializeexpecting a small fee.

Review 68:This is a wonderful spa in a nice location high in the medina above themain square.

Review 69:Stairs Simple supplies in the room No internet connections in the room TV satellite not working in the room

Review 70:Private Quiet Hospitality of staff, incl. the owner

Review 71:Breakfast

Review 72:Our highlight was The young lady Fatima who was the most helpful, kind person When we arived we were served home made lemonade and every time we came back to the Riad without having to ask.She organized our bus tickets to Fez,have us special advise re Fez. Our room on 2nd floor was large, clean and lovely views. The swimming pool was godsent after our long walk in National park. Breakfast on the terrace under the tent was unique but breakfast was simple and had to buy our own fruit as what was given was not to our liking. Overall a 10/10 experience.

Review 73:In lovely, homely Chefchaouen, who would have expected to find a chic, sophisticated inn with all the comforts - and more? Lina Ryad, as charming and beautiful as the 2 year old it's named for, is absolutely gorgeous - right down to the stunning indoor pool that guests can book for a private hour. Lina's parents, Wafa and Amin, are urban Moroccans who spent years - and no expense - in building this splendid small hotel, where the service rivals the beauty. But best of all was the view - over the town and out to the mountains - from the spectacular tri-level terrace where a super breakfast (and dinner on request) is served. Riad Lina is one of those places to which you can't wait to return. I will be back.

Review 74:Nothing bad to talk about.

Review 75:The place is amazing, personal is vry kind, speccialy fatima, the recepcionist. he was very very nice, my husband had a terrible bad stmachache, and they take care about him.. She was very atentious and nice.
