Review 1：Shower did not drain properly and toilet did not flush very well. Bathroom had no counter space & heater was not in a location to be used properly.

Review 3：Our two rooms were swapped for a family room by the hotel as they were full. We ended up in a family room which was ok, but seemed unfinished. It didn't have a bathroom door- a bit awkward with 4 of us in the room- the curtains were hanging off at the end, the lamps didn't work, so the room was very dark-the man changed one of them after we complained. We weren't offered any discount- intact one chap tried to charge us more! Fortunately I had all the documentation showing the prices we were quoted on it. They they tried to charge us twice for the local tax, and charged for the carpark.Wouldnt go back there. Hotel Roo we stayed in last year was much better-will go back there again next year.

Review 4：Could walk into town within 10mins. Breakfast really good.

Review 5：The road was closed when I arrived so it took me 45 minutes to find it, then the guy who checked me in was rude. There was no soap/shampoo so I asked them to replenish that and it did not happen. I had to pay for parking and the parking was full. The room was ugly and the hall too,

Review 6：The breakfast was good the first two days but not the last, I was there fairly early (but after breakfast started being served) and there were no eggs and very little bread. but the bed was comfortable.

Review 19：I wish they would have air conditioning in the rooms, but many places don't seem to have this feature so it's not unique to them alone. One other minor complaint, there are not enough outlets in the room to charge electronics. All in all, I would recommend this hotel.

Review 20：Personally I found the staff very very helpful. We stayed there when it was 38 degree heat and they bent over backwards to help us deal with it. We got a fan loaned to us, jugs of ice water, the owners son even arranged for a relative to take us to the local supermarket by car to buy sorbet as we had food allergies and we could not eat their wonderful desserts. It's a family run hotel, and they really care about service. They work hard to make things work as well as possible in the hotel.

Review 22：When I made the reservation I saw pictures from another room. Bad beds,sheets was not klean and trash from the past klient was there. We could not conect on internet.

We had a big flat screen tv, clean jacuzzi, balcony and most important of all, a very good bed (comfy mattress!). The blackout curtains are owesome!.

Review 107：the single room i occupied was quite small approx 9ft x 6ft.the shower tray had been painted of which half had peeled off [looked most uninviting] the head was missing from the shower so water came out like a hose pipe the sink was cracked the wardrobe was delapidated the small fixed table formica was chipped off and the only support leg only had 1 screw in it, the floorboards squeaked.the combined light switch/plug by the bedside was loose in the wall. the bed was quite cumfortable but only made up not changed for the 4 nights i spent there.sorry to seem so negative as i am usually easy pleased, clean and comfortable is all normally i ask for but i feel this time something should be said. would i stay at this hotel again ????

Review 108：the hotel had pleasent appearance. the reception and bar staff seemed to be friendly and helpfull,i thought the breakfasts was enjoyable, the hotel was well located to the main center just a10 minutes easy walk.Valkenburg is a very nice place to visit.

Review 110：We paid for a deluxe room. While it was clean and comfortable and met our needs it was far from deluxe and I dread to think what the standard rooms are like. The location was fair, it was about a 10min walk into the centre. Breakfast was good with plenty of fresh fruit, breads and eggs. A word on the Xmas market in Valkenburg.....go!! Valkenburg is a charming town with lots of good restaurants and the Xmas market itself is magical. We went at the start of Dec for a Mon & Tue night and it was lovely and quiet.

Review 111：Don't let them put you in Rooms 407 or 408 - they are completely substandard - tiny, basic and very noisy - whereas the rooms in the new extension are first class - spacious and well equipped with excellent bathrooms.

Review 123：The hotel consists of an old front structure and of a newer wing in thecourtyard somehow connected through narrow passages (the lift is inbetween), Needless to say that as a single occupant I was placed in oneof the worst rooms of the old wing. The room was so tiny that to movearound I had to switch the chair placed inside. The attached bathroomwas in such a bad condition that I do really hope not to have contractedany infection. Besides, given the fact that during most of my stay theoutside temperature was around -10°c , it was a real nuisance that inthe bathroom there was no heating whatsoever (and every morning I hadthe dilemma: to shower or not to shower!). The room seemed organizedwith discarded furniture and all the appliances were working skimpishly.The reception service is non existent (it is operated only for somehours during the day) and to get the agreed upon price applied it tookme quite some time (given the fact that they wanted also to charge mefor parking, despite the fact that I had no car). In addition, to getthe key of the room I had to pay for the entire amount of the stayupfront. Breakfast was included, but it was not a gourmet experience. Iasked whether they had a better room, but they said that it was the onlyroom available (which thing was not true). Thanks to the fact that I didmy military duty and I went through a number of trekkings I managed tosurvive, but this is a meager consolation: I wanted to check in an hotelnot to have an adventure trial in an exotic country!

Review 124：I do not think that there is anything pleasant in the (so called) hotel.

Review 125：First of all, a reception personnel got it be paid including parking feewithout any asking even though I do not have any vehicle! So I asked herrefund, and she gave me 5 euro while talking on a phone - quite disturbing-and I realised it a day afterward that I had to get 7.5 euro back, not 5euro, because I stayed there 3 nights and the parking fee for one nightwas 2.5 euro. It was too late and I didn't want to argue with heragain, so I just let it lose.Secondly, there were two building, an old and a new one, and they gave me the old room... I was still happy with that large but tatty room but the biggest problem was there was no wi-fi. I would pleasantly pay them 5 euro for it if there was possible connection, but I mean, the wi-fi was not even EXIST! I didn't get any notice about it beforehand, so I had to go downstairs and catch wi-fi of new building in cold hallway between two buildings. How unpleasant.

Imagine our disappointment when we were given theworst room in the hotel as the hotel was full and, clearly, a coachparty took priority for room quality over someone who had booked well inadvance and through Booking.Com. The manager clearly knew he wasallocating us the small, old and dismal rooms, as he offered us freedrinks at the bar at check-in. The manager did manage to change one ofour rooms for the second night. To a bettwer quailty room, however, thisdid not make up for being duped on our first nights stay!

Review 128：The hotel had a decent bar and restaurant and they served a good qualitybreakfast. However, the bedrooms were divided between a modern buildingand the old building and we were allocated dissapointing rooms in theold building - see negative comments.

Review 129：The road noise if you stay on the front of the building. We went at the Christmas Market time and could be worse during the summer traveling months. Ask for a room on the side or in the back.

Review 130：It is a nice hotel with everything you will need. The rooms were spacious and the beds were ok. Plenty of windows for fresh air. The bathrooms were very clean and bright and spacious. Breakfast room is large with many nice tables and the good food and the coffee was great. The hotel staff was very friendly. Has an elevator which is a must as the staircase is pretty steep, but that is expected in the older buildings in Europe that adds character to a building. Would stay again and will recommend to others.

Review 131：At breakfast they could do with some cucumber and tomato to go with thecold meats - my partner missed them.

Review 132：Well this was our 2nd night here - we left in morning to go to anotherhotel but they let us down so we came back here. Booked on line as wouldhave been charged 89euros otherwise. Got a different room at back - niceout look. Bigger bathroom. Good beds at same height! Breakfast was good- breakfast staff friendly and they were happy to store medicine intheir fridges as no fridge in room.
