Review 1：Owners were fantastic, friendly and intelligent. Had nice time talking about everything happening in the world and drinking wine with the owners and other guests.

Review 3：The Retiro dos Batudes is rustic, up to date and tastefully made up acommodation in a semi-rural setting. It is peaceful and has lovely views of trees, horses and sky. I very much enjoyed the fact that once you check in and pay, you are completely independent and you come and go as you please. There is a fridge and tea making facilities in the room and there is an insect screen on the windows letting the cool air in without the bugs. I loved the staff. Both the owners and the lady who helps cannot do enough for their guests. They picked me up and dropped me off at the train station and went above and far beyond their duty in helping me during my stay. They are genuine and also very interesting and cultured people. Their two doggies are very lovely (but if you are not keen don't worry, they never overstep their boundary into the acommodation) and so is the cat. I will be back to enjoy it again. There is a cafe nearby and a large supermarket. Setúbal and Palmela are 1-2 stations away.
Review 4：We were very nicely received and the hosts are here for all requests, so kind!!!! We enjoyed the wonderful room and the BBQ facility, the host kindly provides coal and plates;o)
Review 5：It's kind of far outside and tricky to find with GPS - watch out for the school in the street on your right - the place will be then on the left. It doesn't look charming, but it's very practical.
Review 6：Big bed, spacious room and bath, friendly people though communication in English was tricky the owner tried everything to help.
Review 7：The place is not very easy to find, the light in the bathroom needs to be repared, there was no bulb in one of the lamps on the bedside tables and the towels were rough. All small things that can be easily accomodated.
Review 8：The room was O.K. and the location is quiet. The main road is not far and there are several dogs in a near house but no noise at all during the night. Very good internet connection and comfortable bed. We would recommend this location if you are on your way to Lisbon or Sintra coming from Evora or Extremadura in Spain, otherwise there isn't much to see around there.
