Review 1：Al Borgo was a breath of fresh air for a couple of weary American travelers. We like to stay in a variety of places (farm stays, B&Bs, apartments, etc.), but every once in a while it's nice to stay in more of a traditional hotel--especially if just for a night or two. Al Borgo was pretty much perfect! Our room was very spacious and immaculately clean. The en suite bathroom was huge and had a great shower, a hair dryer, shampoo, etc., lots of convenient fixtures to hold your toiletries, and plenty of nice towels. Normally we skip the free breakfast in these types of hotels, but the one at Al Borgo was not to be missed. There was a huge spread with something to please everyone, including local products and what appeared to be actually homemade baked goods. Delicious! The staff was quite friendly and the location was perfect. It's right next to the train station, but the noise is minimal. Also, due to the suburban vibe of the neighborhood, Al Borgo doesn't suffer the same fate as the usual station adjacent accommodations often do--it's in no way sketchy! It's also just a very short stroll to lovely central Sarzana. A great little boutique hostel--perfect for mature travelers on a budget. Except for the free WiFi being a bit slow, highly recommended!

Review 3：Poor location, near a railway, and trains pass quite frequently. But, if you wear yearplugs at night, you will not hear them. Our window opened into the gardens of the neighbour houses, where old ladies grew vegetables, so it felt almost like living in one of those ladie's house. Breakfast is mediocre, only cheese, ham, cornflakes, sweets and some fruit i think. The shower doesn't have a spot where to place the soap.
