Reviews for Quinta de Sao Filipe

Review 1:Stay one night is too short

Review 2:Super nice and friendly host-Antonio. You can get what you need in the apartment. The view is wonderful. It is kind like holiday house.

Review 3:Antonio and Marta made sure our every need was foreseen, and met. It is obvious that they love maintaining this family heritage farm and guest house. My husband and I wish that we'd had more time to spend at the Quinta de São Filipe, and will gladly return here in the future.

Review 4:Senhor António makes you feel special (thank you for the bottle of local wine it tasted great watching the sunset in the old mill) and the place is magical. No photos or words can describe it well enough. The views are amazing and very close by car to Setúbal centre, Arrábida National Park and beaches.

Review 5:There was nothing that I didn't like. Antonio was a perfect host who cared for every possible needs that I may have had. There was absolutely nothing I could complain about

Review 6:The owner , Antonio was so very very kind. He was there to greet me when I arrived, and showed me all around his beautiful farm. He explained to me how everything worked in the kitchen and bathroom and everything. Breakfast every morning was wonderfull with fresh fruit and fresh bread.

Review 7:That I had to leave on a warm and sunny morning (beginning of march), aftr only one night's stay.

Review 8:Antonio, the owner, wants you to feel at home and he succeeds. Great views. A little bit rustical, but you'll find every comfort you need.

Review 9:Antonio met me on arrival and showed me around my new abode. Felt very welcome! They kitchen had been stalked with fruit, cheese, meats, fresh bread, and an excellent bottle of red wine! I was introduced to the three dogs - who are very friendly and well behaved. My stay was cut short - but I will definitely try to go back. So peaceful, and the music cd choices were fantastic. Slept like a baby! I stayed in the original family home and felt like the Queen of the World!!

Review 10:no~

Review 11:we love everything~this beautiful house is located on the top of the mountain~so u can see the best ocean view~and we love the ownner Antonio~he is the most kind and gentle guy we,ve ever meet...he had a very pure and passion soul ~since we lived here for a short one night~we are so deeply in love with this paradise

Review 12:The location could be a bit better signposted from the city. After we had some difficulties to find it at our arrival, we learnt in the next days that the access is quite easy if few more road indicators.

Review 13:Quinta is situated in a location with a great view on the city, sea and the hills around it , in the middle of a big green property. the apartment was nice, cosy, well maintained, with all facilities. The owner was very nice and made us fell like home.

Review 14:We absolutely loved our stay here. Our apartment was really comfy, the views are stunning, the beach heavenly and all the reviewsmention how friendly Antonio is - he really is such a star. We willdefinitely be back.

Review 15:Outstanding pousada to sit back and relax.

Review 16:The landlord, the view...

Review 17:There were bugs all over bedroom. The room needs an upgrade. The hot shower did not work.

Review 18:The Quinta has a beautiful view of the bay of Setúbal.

Review 19:Little uphill from town but that provided quiet

Review 20:Lovely historic home Amazing views Antonio very gracious and charming

Review 21:Leaving

Review 22:The view is unbelievable. The room was very comfortable and large. It is an old farm complete with goats, chickens, a donkey and two friendly dogs. We loved walking the grounds and talking to Antonio who owns the farm. He was very kind, helpful and informative. The breakfast is fantastic.

Review 23:Lovely, traditional rustic apartment. Twenty mins walk to town and fifteen mins to beautiful beach. Don't stay here if you are a 'Sheraton Hotel' type person - this is accommodation for people wanting to experience 'real' Portugal. Setubal is very different to a tourist town like Lisbon. Owner, Toni, is very helpful and a real nice guy.

Review 24:This is a very special and unique facility, not only because of the wonderful location right besides the castle, overlooking the bay, 3 mins drive to the city, but the resort itself is just lovely with an old mill on site, a huge farm with animals and a Tuscany countryside feel to it. Our Host, Antonio was incredible too, he brought us the best fresh bread, pastries, cheeses every morning for breakfast and bent over backwards to please our every whim !

Review 25:This Quinta is just amazing! The views from the terrasses are wonderful.Antonio, the owner, was very friendly and gave us really good tips. Wecould use a bike to visit the region (just beware of the last 15min fromSetubal that are quiet steep)

Review 26:Quinta de Sao Filipe is a beautiful, beautiful place for those who do not want a common, standard touristic hotel, but a special place “with soul” in which they could feel “at home”. This Quinta (a family owned estate) has a great location, beautifully designed and decorated rooms and apartments and it offers astonishing river and ocean views. Antonio, the owner of the Quinta, is a great host, always very, very kind and supportive. I would not think to stay anywhere else for visiting the Setubal region.

Review 27:We where welcomed like friends. The fridge was filled with good food, not only sufficient for the breakfast but also for supper. Very friendly owner. The rooms where wonderful (romantic) in an old cottage with lots of original elements and nice decoration. We certainly will come back.

Review 28:Did not accept credit cards Repair needed in bathroom - toilet seat missing bolts No internet service

Review 29:Staff very friendly Location outstanding - mountains with sea view Value for money

Review 30:The staff is wonderfull. Mr. António is a very pleasent person. Moreoverthe place is just lovely and with a fantastic view. This is a secretplace that we just discover.

Review 31:The host and owner antonio was the most remarkable, welcoming and superbhost. We were overwhelmed with the surroundings and history of hisfamily home

Review 32:Nothing.

Review 33:The apartment was absolutely beautiful. Was very old-fashioned andquaint so don't expect modern but was really traditional Portuguese. The owner, Antonio was incredibly friendly and welcoming and gave usfreshly picked oranges from the orchard and fresh eggs from his hens. The location was great as it was only a 5 minute walk from the centre ofSetubal (probably a 20 min walk as is uphill) and the views was amazing. As we had a 16 month old we did self catering as it is easier to feedher and the kitchen did not have an oven but the hob and microwave wasenough and the apartment was really cosy. Anyone looking for somewherewhich is either romantic or nice and quiet with easy access to the towncould not do better than this.

Review 34:Nothing worth mentioning

Review 35:Location was exceptional. Villa was fabulous. Great welcome.

Review 36:The house, the milieu and the view were fascinating. And the best of all was the very kind host.

Review 37:Antonio is a great host and the quinta is a fantastic place to explorethe region.

Review 38:Quality of the villa, its location, the views, the attentive attitude of Antonio the owner, and his cooking!

Review 39:Comfy bed friendly staff great views laid back, peaceful
