Located just steps away from the ski slopes of Naeba Ski Resort, Lodge Oka offers simple accommodations with free in-room WiFi. Guests can rent ski equipment and purchase ski passes at the front desk, if requested in advance. JR Echigo Yuzawa Train Station is a 30-minute drive away.
Rooms feature a TV and an electric kettle. Guests can choose to stay in rooms with tatami (woven-straw) floors and Japanese futon bedding or in rooms with carpeted floors and Western beds. Some rooms have an en suite bathroom, while others share bathroom and toilet facilities.

Review 1：Chinese people management, dirty environment. No service, bad unloading baggage area, nobody help, everything won't tell you in advance, they just want to finding chance to charge you extra. First day check-in to the hotel room, the room is still not clean up, but they don't know that, my check-in time is already 3:00pm.I need to stay in the room and waiting for more than 1 hr. cleaning up.The house keeping people has simple apologized for me.I said fine, it is ok.Day 2, I ask for changing towel and clean up the room, they ask for to paid extra for the towel, and the cleanning are not included, but didn't tell me in advance. then I question to her, If I stay at your hotel for 10 days, will you clean it up or not? She said No, Because the price is difference."cheaper"After I received her explanation, I have thinking this hotel people's are very stubborn.Finally, I need paid extra yen 500 for towel.At the last day: I received a call at 10:00am. in the morning, they ask for me, do you need to extend the late check out, I said not necessary, I can check out before 12:00amshe said if don't extend the time, now is already check out time, I'm asking her it is not 12:00 check out?, She is very impolite to tell me only China is 12:00 check out, All Japan Hotel check out time is 10:00am. why you don't remind me when I'm check-in? then I said OK, I will leave as soon as I can, Finally I check out in 11:00 pm, But she is asking for pay extra!!!! And I say how much should I paid for it.She said Yen 500, then Ok I paid. But they didn't thinking their fault when I'm check in, the room is not clean up, I need to wait more than 1 hr, to see the servant clean up the room, Why she won't remember this point. Of course, I didn't ask her to deduct this time for me, Because I,m thinking they should know what they should do.....I don't think they will improve anything on the future even I tell them any.

Review 18：The staff were very friendly and helpful. They offered to send us all the way to Echigo-Yuzawa station. One of us lost an item near the ski slopes and the hotel staff immediately offered to help look for it together. The food was also delicious.

Review 20：I am non Japanese and i don't speak the language that well. I was able to get her using a continuation of google maps and bad Japanese (mainly goifle maps). It right up the road from naeba ski resort, which has awesome skiing for beginners and advanced skiers. I went during the weekdays the week before the Japanese school holidays started, so it wasn't that crowded. The staff are friendly, helpful and adaptable to your personal needs. Eg you can tell the in English what time you want breakfast, dinner etc and they'll call your room and have it ready on the table for tog when you get downstairs. Getting there using public transport is a bit difficult, walking 15-20min is involved. They also don't supply towels and it's a small Japanese styled (group) shower room. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to do some skiing at naeba resort but at a fraction of the price of the Marne prince hotel - oka lodge japanese styled room cost me 4500¥ for a night and I had no problems with it. If you don't mind the walk, it's well worth it!!!
