Reviews for Poderi Arcangelo

Review 1:No heating even though it was said on booking.com only aircondition. So in the middle of November it was cold. And took almost whole night to warm up the room. No in room coffee/tea facilities. Poor "Italian breakfast" (sweet only) for extra charge of 5e. Baby cot/crib for an extra 15e per night.

Review 2:Views Views Location

Review 3:They want us to pay for heating use in our room. We didnt use any. On the check out the try to charge us. We didnt pay in the end but that wasnt nice.

Review 4:Great location. Great pepole. Gave hs bottle of wine on check out.

Review 5:WOW! The apartment #5 San Raffael @ Poderi Arcangelo is very spacious and comfortable with an amazing view from every room of Tuscan vineyards and olive groves. We thought we landed in Paradise. This BnB is a very short drive to San Gimignano

Review 6:Disappointing! Rented a 2 bedroom, upstairs had a very low ceiling, I hit the beam standing at a height of 5 ft 3". Bathroom extremely small, no towel rack, they left them on the toilet! Multiple kamikaze mosquito's all over the house, bit multiple times. Online & brochure photos much better than real. Would not recommend.

Review 7:Staff was friendly, liked the family style dinner. Was out in the vineyards, saw many along with olive trees.

Review 8:The room is very moderate level. Obsolete. Not clean. Air conditioners worked very weak and it was hot! Anything you want this additional cost.

Review 9:.Excellent location. The view is amazing.the stuff was nice and polite.

Review 10:The only thing we had a problem with was the mosquitoes and this was nothing to do with the property! They just seemed to like our taste! The only suggestion I would make is that it would have been nice to have a fridge in our room to keep drinks cold.

Review 11:This was a wonderful place to stay. It lived up exactly to my expectation of Tuscany.the hosts were lovely especially the lady who greeted us on our first night and prepared us some food even though we arrived about 10.30pm. The room was lovely with a beautiful view and good air conditioning. The pool was amazing with spectacular views and was usually very quiet. It is definitely necessary to have a car when having a holiday in this area.

Review 12:Food, including both breakfast and dinner were a bit disappointing. Being on a farm we expected farm fresh produce and dairy products. Unfortunately they were short on both.

Review 13:Location and overall ambiance was excellent. Friendly and helpful staff. Pool was very relaxing and had incredible views.

Review 14:We had a wonderful 2 day stay. Our room was clean and comfortable and they had the softest towels I've ever come across. We had dinner at the outdoor restaurant - heavenly traditional Tuscan food and amazing wine under the stars - perfetto!!

Review 15:The pool was great for the kids and it was a beautiful setting. It may be a little out of the way but it it was worth it. I would absolutely stay here again! Love this place!

Review 16:Dinner was great but lots of salt. Wifi poor in the upstairs room. Was told we had to dry our clothes outside rather than in rooms and piece of clothing went missing.

Review 17:Loved loved loved the pool. Breakfast was yummy.

Review 18:There is not possible to ask for some food in some moments during the day There is not a coffeemaker in room Italian people talk hard and in some cases you could think it is a discussion breakfast is the same all days

Review 19:View, food, wine, good internet

Review 20:Poor wifi connection

Review 21:The nice accomodation has beautiful panorama, good local products e.g. wine; delicious dinner;calm and peace for those who'd like to relax and enjoy Tuscany from the pool. :) Thanks for the great memories!

Review 22:No kettle and wifi didn't work from our apartment, only main building - bit of an up hill walk.

Review 23:Loved the setting. Food very good and liked the wine tasting event.

Review 24:Tough to find without a good map or GPS.

Review 25:Beautiful facility, helpful staff, great setting. Had three breakfasts and two dinners - food was very good, but not great.

Review 26:Everything was perfect, from hospitality of staff, enterior, incredible view, vicinity of San Giminiano old town...We are delighted by the stay in Poderi Arcangelo. Hope to come again soon..

Review 27:Location amongst the vineyards and beautiful views. Staff helpful and friendly. Quiet for sleeping. Lovely gardens and ease of access to hill towns.

Review 28:It is somewhat of an eco-friendly hotel, so be ready to carry your own bags; and they charge you for changing your towels every day. We had no problem with that, but some people do.

Review 29:The country house was very well kept, the rooms were beautiful, spacious, and with great views. The restaurant had a great, local, 4-meal dinner, and the Poderi Arcangelo wine was magnificent.

Review 30:Location among the vineyards and olive trees and close to the historic town of San Gimignano is excellent. Bathroom facilities, comfort and size of rooms were excellent. Very polite and helpful hotel manager

Review 31:table clothes for towels with towel change every 2 days poor breakfast terrible coffee carpark 100 metres of gravel road before room and then had to carry our bags up a long flight of stairs no wifi about a 4.5 at best

Review 32:pool

Review 33:Real Tuscan atmosphere. Very good location, close to Florence, Pisa, Siena, San Gimignano (the best ice cream in the world). Nice staff, clean rooms, good local vines. I can recommend.

Review 34:The wifi was not working most of the times, even at the reception. Breakfast was good, but I would suggest to have more variety of local food.

Review 35:Very good location (close to San Gimignano and other places to explore in Tuscany) and nice scenery. The staff was very kind and helpful! We also tried the wine tasting which was good enough.

Review 36:Storm related power outage created a bit of a challenge for internet connections.

Review 37:Reception staff were super helpful with getting us settled in to our rooms. Excellent private wine tasting.

Review 38:Internet very poor, shower unreliable and weak, jobs not done proactively, it could be so much better with just a small spark from the management, the customer is the reason for staff being there after all.

Review 39:Stunning location, helpful kitchen staff, great local ingredients to evening meals, home produced organic wines and olive oil from own land.

Review 40:Breakfast - below average Check-in- Don't check in on a Sunday evening - no staff

Review 41:Location

Review 42:Beautiful countryside and peaceful ploace

Review 43:Wonderful staff, very helpful. The property is beautiful, and the view is breathtaking.

Review 44:Paying for towels for the pool seems unfair and fresh fruit and muesli / granola at breakfast would make a difference.

Review 45:The view is stunning.

Review 46:Dinner was poor

Review 47:Lovely place great views and very friendly staff

Review 48:too many rules, too controlling - not good for travellers - this was not user friendly for 4 nights.

Review 49:fair position

Review 50:A better quality of the breakfast would be appreciated.

Review 51:We loved the view, swimming pool, friendlyness of the staff and the suroundings.

Review 52:The gorgeous countryside and grounds!

Review 53:Everything was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway.

Review 54:Room was smaller and warmer than expect and the place was a little difficult to find.

Review 55:Views, dinner, wine, location and a nice staff

Review 56:Rooms were dated and internet intermittent.

Review 57:Beautiful surroundings and a great place to take day trips from.

Review 58:View of hills from amazing pool and having great wine along with great local food!

Review 59:poor hostability rooms are very bad isolated

Review 60:nice swimingpool with nice view

Review 61:Wi-go was not working well. The caffee has nothing to do with Italian coffee- disappointing taste

Review 62:The płace, the location, swimming pool

Review 63:pool, location, helpful Lady at the reception,

Review 64:No wifi Awful towels in bathroom On site meal is not worth 25 Euro per person

Review 65:We loved our stay. Friendly and lovely staff. Home made food, whichreminded of my Mama's Italian food, and wine are a plus, besides theamazing view of Tuscany. Great views and lovely attendance. Lincolncosta brazil

Review 66:Breakfast very average (no fresh fruit) Evening meal poor value. Room quite basic but clean.

Review 67:Location, panoramic view and the pool area. The gardens were lovely

Review 68:The first welcome wasn´t very warm.Seemed nobody is caring about . The rooms are badly sound proofed.

Review 69:The Location is just gorgeous. The view to san giminano and certaldo is just great. The buildings are very nice and the flower arrangements around the property lovely. On our last day the Girl at the reception was very nice (a Little Bonus from the one Lady on our first day).

Review 70:Everything else Rooms horrible and uncomfortable Bedding Bathroom old Junior suite is a joke of a description on the website. The rooms pictured on the website did not represent the reality at all.

Review 71:The pool although you had to pay 3€ per towell! without being advised

Review 72:NA

Review 73:the hotel is very nice, the hotel is standing on the montain top, we can see the good view. we have two night dinner at hotel. The cooker is an old and kind lady, I like her food so much.

Review 74:We felt the apartment provided very few utensils and crockery in the kitchen. It was very sparsely decorated and furnished with some very old and decrepit pictures. We also thought the prices of eating in the attached restaurant were very high - food was good but expensive.

Review 75:This property has a fantastic position for touring Tuscany and fabulous views of the surrounding area. Very quiet and rural.

Review 76:No wifi in rooms when we were there. The wifi range did not extend to the rooms, you had to be inside reception and only when it was open. One of the rooms had a steep staircase to mezzanine bedroom with very low headroom, a little dangerous and no shower, only a bath.

Review 77:Fantastic picturesque location. Great breakfasts (included) and dinners (extra cost, not always available). Very close to everything.

Review 78:Agro area - beautiful view - great food - very friendly and nice staff. All around was very nice. A bit remote but there were lots of places to visit as long as you have a rental car.

Review 79:I warned them of my late arrival and they told me they would take measures. Which they didn't, so it took a while to sort everything out at my arrival.

Review 80:Very calm area. Excellent to relax.

Review 81:first- it was hard to find the place. the people from near town didn't know it. when we got there- no one was in the reseption. acctualy no one was on the whole place. they were not very helpful when needed.

Review 82:breakfast was good, although inside the building. nice view. clean rooms, although changing towels once in two days. if you dicide to go- go in summer.

Review 83:Closer to Certaldo than to San Gimignano. The Restaurant was close in the christmas, we had nothing to eat at the hotel. The breakfast was good, but it could have more typical things like bread and more options of cheese.

Review 84:Room very well cleaned. The hotel is very beautiful, great views.

Review 85:* very noisy, you can hear everything from other rooms & corridors as well as dining people on the terrace * 10eur for breakfast * dinner as of 8 people

Review 86:Beautiful view. It's a petty that in such location there are the following imperfections...

Review 87:Staff was very harried when we arrived. Never got the feeling that things were quite under control. Ate dinner there our first night. Not great quality. Breakfast selection was good.

Review 88:View of the vineyards - beautiful, Fig trees with figs for the picking.

Review 89:Everything was great except for wifi that worked only at the receptionfor iDevices.

Review 90:Comfortable room, nice decorations, great view over the vineyards.

Review 91:Unfortunately I can give few major spots that I disliked the most: - wi-fi was not working in the area except the reception. In the room there was no wi-fi access despite the offer description of this agroturismo; - breakfast included was the poorest I have ever experienced (no fruits or vegetables, no olives despite being "agroturismo of vine and olives"); - no fridge in the apartments (only small one shared for three apt on the floor); - Jacuzzi in the swimming pool not working; used towels were laying on the pool chairs the whole week - it seems that no one is taking care of that place; - bottle of vine (home one from agroturismo) during dinner much more expensive than regular one (also organic) in the shops or in San Gimignano restaurants at the Old Town; - paid swimming pool towels, - paid exchange of towels in room that was already paid for 100 euro per nigh seems to be a huge exaggeration; - no gratuits for guests as we used to have in Lucca agroturismo (home vine or pack of olives would be nice gesture).

Review 92:Great were: - swimming pool with picturesque view of the Tuscany hills, - good quality cosmetics in the bathroom, - clean and nice rooms with nice design, - vine tasting, - fine dinner (paid).

Review 93:The hand basin needed repair reported it everyday but it wasn't done, this was frustrating.

Review 94:Fantastic surroundings, beautiful pool and we liked the Tuscan cooking

Review 95:- fantastic infinity pool with great view on Tuscany countryside - very helpul staff - great local wines, wine tasting available - spacious and clean rooms

Review 96:The staff was stressful, not really attentive, no time, no personal touch. The room lacked tea and coffee facilities and there was not even one glass.

Review 97:The location and scenery is beautiful. The room was, cool (airco), clean and spacious.

Review 98:Only basic supplies in kitchen, no pot holders, detergent.

Review 99:Beautiful views of country side, Modern apartment with authentic decor and plenty of space, wine tasting, sitting by the pool.

Review 100:Friendly welcome. Excellent breakfast and dinner. Wonderful view from the main building at the top, good view from apartment as well. Convenient location. We were invited to a wine tasting on site.

Review 101:Rustic food, plastic cups for juice at breakfast time, having to ask for or wait for coffee, tea, plates, milk, etc Dirty floor in our room. Bathroom was not cleaned for several days. Nowhere to use as a comfortable lounge in the accommodation. Only one chair in our bedroom. Staff only available at limited times. I could go on!

Review 102:Good location and good swimming pool, though we did not use it.

Review 103:The setting in the Tuscan countryside with distant views of San Gimignano and Certaldo is magnificent. The whole experience was first rate. We had dinner bed and breakfast and left with a complimentary bottle of their wine! We will be back!

Review 104:We expected a nice place with a restaurant. There was no restaurant, and the first night we had to go shopping instead of dining. Nothing seemed to work; the reception was most of the time closed. Only the last 2 days internet was working. Never the restaurant nor the breakfast place opened, though they are all mentioned on the website. The place is extremely expensive for not offering anything, it is in winter far remote from everything. Though being used at driving windy roads, there is no way to go out for dinner at night. We knew we had to pay for heating but we got a bill of about E170,- which is extreme. We should have been warned. We should have left immediately

Review 105:it is beautiful, but in winter extremely remote

Review 106:We had a nice stay. The restaurant was however not a restaurant with a la carte menue but instead a set menue and not open every day.

Review 107:We have been frozen....

Review 108:Everything except the heat.

Review 109:Breakfast was mediocre.

Review 110:Lots of free parking on site, quiet with fresh air and a. Elated environment.

Review 111:you have to pay for your heating. We stayed 3 days and we have to pay 39 euros. And we were using it just in our room at night.

Review 112:the place, quietness

Review 113:None

Review 114:Scenery

Review 115:Very charming place!

Review 116:no heating at all in October!

Review 117:Great concept in a village home, Large rooms like in your home

Review 118:Fantastic view !!!!

Review 119:Staff - helpfulness and knowledge Facility cleanliness and grounds Wine tasting Exceeded expectations

Review 120:Loved the vineyard, accommodation and location - it was so peaceful !

Review 121:Had to dispose our own rubbish

Review 122:Mostly everything

Review 123:the manager is rude, nobody inform us that pool towels is 3 euro extra , that baby its extra bed also alto there is another bed in the room.
