Reviews for Hotel Club d'Azeitao

Review 1:Really bad Wi-Fi. Just imagine that you don't have it and enjoy the rest.

Review 2:Great place for quiet vacations. Comfortable rooms, good breakfast, nice garden and pool. At the same time close to many interesting places: vineries, natural park, tile manufacturing, Lisbon is not far from.

Review 3:Internet was not working at all

Review 4:The pool and garden, the restaurant and very nice waiter Ottavio who made us feel like kings, the beautiful surroundings

Review 5:staff seemed overworked and spread thin. accommodations could use a facelift. it is REALLY AMAZING PIECE OF PROPERTY THAT SEEMS LIKE IT COULD OFFER SO MUCH MORE.

Review 6:location

Review 7:Breakfast was limited, we contacted the hotel regarding gluten free foodfor my wife due to medical reasons and nothing was offered once wearrived. No food except breakfast on a Sunday. The whole place could dowith a deep thorough clean and a few new cushions outside wouldn'tbe missed. Our room was very dusty and dead insects all around the room. The bathroom was very mouldy and the plug hole had alot of hair stuck init. Our friend who stayed for 5 nights and there bed wasn't changedat all. The staff are great with guests but they need to put a littleextra into the hotel. If you've ever stayed in an f1 or a campinellein France I would say it on par.

Review 8:The price, you get what you pay for and we got this for £44 per roomper night.

Review 9:Average breakfast with no fresh orange juice, no identification of jams, preserved fruit and some other components that could be better. Small and old bed.

Review 10:Location and traditional old place

Review 11:- in the middle of nowhere, not so much things to do (but relaxing!) - very high prices of food and beverages (like coffee/tea for 5 EUR!!) - very poor wifi connection - no wifi in the rooms - just around the reception - rooms could have been cleaner - room was a bit far from the reception/restaurant - awful coffee at breakfast :(

Review 12:+ romantic and relaxing place + very calm and silent environment + enormous garden with lots of orange trees + big outdoor swimming pool + very nice view from the room + a Pingo Doce shop is very close so you can buy food + free parking + very delicious croissant at breakfast :)

Review 13:The hotel is lovelier in person that it is in the images online. The staff was over-top-top accommodating and courteous. The location was also perfect, close to Arrabida beaches and traditional Portuguese restaurants on the water. Overall, amazing week!

Review 14:We had booked a double-bed room. The air-condition was broken. They changed us to a two-bed room without mentioning it (they had no more double-bed rooms available). In the end we got our first room with a fan. Road noise in some areas.

Review 15:Beautiful, very peaceful, amazing breakfast with home-made marmalade. Open tennis court with free balls and rackets. Staff very polite and helpful. Gorgeous view from the area.

Review 16:The rooms are ok but it could have been better, there is a general smell of old in there.

Review 17:The hotel is very nice, with a beautiful garden, situated in a quiet area. Breakfast very good, free parking and a nice pool to enjoy.

Review 18:It is not a good place to stay if you dont have a car. Location is far from the city center or beach area +/- 30 kms. You need to take a taxi to go anywhere. The property's own restaurant is close on sunday so you need to walk some kms to reach to the village with some cafes and to get some food but no restaurant to choose from. Poor internet connection, only in the lobby. Elevator is only in the 1st floor so if your room is at no.40++ you need to walk up to almost end of a dark hallway and take some steps of the stairs carrying your luggage.

Review 19:The garden view is so relaxing

Review 20:Hotel just got old..

Review 21:It was interesting to see hotel that was on the very high level years ago but it got old.. But staff was trying to give all the best to make You feel comfortable.

Review 22:Very small double bed & we were kept awake by persons next door talking loudly & shifting furniture during the early hours of the morning. The television (not a flat screen) did not have a single English speaking channel.

Review 23:The decoration of the hotel, helpful staff great swimming pool & excellent evening meal.

Review 24:The hotel may be slightly tired and in need of redecoration for some peoples taste but then the price would not be so inviting either. We used as a base to visit surrounding area for a few days and were extremely happy with the value and service we got for our money. We would definitely recomend this hotel.

Review 25:We used this hotel as a base to visit local beaches from. You must have a car to stay here as it is not in a town or villiage. We found the hotel clean the staff friendly and the room comfortable. The price was very good for the quality of accommodation and included a good breakfast.

Review 26:Only two things, the air conditioner had a mood swing, wither worked silently or made weird noises & the pool towels are very small

Review 27:Everything, the cosiness of the hotel, the location, the immense space the hotel has, the staff etc...

Review 28:The breakfast is not very rich and could be better, but all basic things are on the table: cereals, yoghurt, fruits cheese and eggs.

Review 29:The villa and its surrounding is very beautiful, especially the garden. Clean, spacious, comfortable classic room, very kind and helpful stuff.

Review 30:The only (minor) negative aspect is that some of the bedroom equipment was showing some small signs of age.

Review 31:The location, the old-style classic building, the plentiful and varied breakfast including fresh products, the quietness and the friendly staff.

Review 32:The pool was NOT available and that was not announced in the site. The bed mattress was to soft (kind a water mattress) and uncomfortable. The information in the hotel about the Arrábida mountain (what to do, what to see, how to get there) was insufficient (none actually...).

Review 33:The hotel public areas (spacious, comfortable and well decorated) and property. The location is ideal in order to explore the Arrábida mountain by foot.

Review 34:The very long walk to bedrooms with no porter help to carry heavy bags.

Review 35:General ambience, good , easy parking. Suyrrounding countryside. Proximity to wild Narcissus

Review 36:We had a car, so no problem, but otherwise it would be difficult to get around.

Review 37:Thanks to Booking.com we had a great price for a really first-class hotel. Our room was spacious, well-appointed and quiet and the grounds are extensive and lovely. Breakfast was luxurious. We were sorry to stay for just one night.

Review 38:There was nothing to dislike about this place that needs to be mentioned.

Review 39:The staff were first class. Our room needed a new shower head in the bath and it was fixed within a short time. Reception was always helpful. Special mention to the head waiter Snr. Albino Branco for treating us like royalty. His attention to detail was second to non and he is a credit to the hotel. If we could afford a butler we would choose him without hesitation.

Review 40:To be honest we liked everything (apart from the weather...) the hotel is extremely clean, very comfortable (even if the furniture looks a bit old fashioned) and the staff is friendly and charming. The restaurant is honest simple food - not gourmet but then again the price is very fair too! A short but successful stay, will gladly recommend and return.

Review 41:Nothing to declare

Review 42:We liked the fact that the hotel is a historical building, with traditional decoration (azulejos, cosy public areas like living rooms, dining-room) which has a large outside area with fruit trees, a beautiful swimming pool and tennis courts. The rooms are comfortable, but with old style furniture.

Review 43:The pool area was a little neglected. The nearby road was quite noisy as well. When we first arrived, our double room smelled like smoke so the receptionist gave us the only room (a twin) he had left, which was okay since we only stayed one night. The shower was a little old fashioned and we actually found some moldy parts in the corners.

Review 44:Huge property, plenty of parking. The rooms were a good size and comfortably clean. The breakfast was plenty to choose from and quite good. The restaurant food was okay, but nothing special.

Review 45:Facilities in the room not so new but it does not prevent a good evaluation of the hotel. Juice can be juice rather than drink of yellow colour for a breakfast.

Review 46:Location, stuff, envoronment, closeness to the Natural park Arrabida. In hot weather a swimming pool will assist to comfort staying. Big garden with a great view to the hills.

Review 47:Poor wifi. Restaurant is closed Sundays. Large bush in front of window made it dark in room and impossible to see anything.

Review 48:The staff. The breakfast. The staff!

Review 49:Room is smaller than what it appears from pictures, breakfast could be more interesting for the region/kind of hotel, receptionists could give out more information about the region and how to enjoy the many activities available - for example, it would be good to be made aware that most activities require reservations.

Review 50:Price and receptionists were very efficient and cordial.

Review 51:We used this hotel as a stopover on our way to Luz. It was nice to have a pool and staff were friendly. Room was very good exept for the over bath shower and plastic sheet on bed.

Review 52:The staff were absolutely fantastic especially Nano. The breakfast was superb. The swimming pool was excellent. You must hire a car as it is a little to far to walk to the beaches. I will be staying again next year

Review 53:Proprietary orange juice at breakfast. Beware mosquitoes if the bedroom windows are open.

Review 54:Good location for visiting Quinta da Bacalhoa, Setubal and Sesimbra. We had a very comfortable two night stay. Beautifully kept gardens. Plenty of parking. Helpful staff. Very large "traditional " bedroom well presented and spotless. Had dinner on our second night and ate outside in the courtyard. Tasty and very well served.

Review 55:Excellent place for rest and relaxation. Nice surroundings, but a car is a must to reach good hiking trails, beaches, or streets of Lisbon

Review 56:Nice place, close to Lisbon and the beach. Staff were very helpful.

Review 57:Great breakfast

Review 58:Room TV very small and very old (CRT Type) should have been by now an LCD

Review 59:Calm atmosphere, Decoration, Relaxing place

Review 60:Coffee from the buffet is quite bad, but they make you a fresh real coffee on demand for free Bread is a bit average

Review 61:Historical building

Review 62:Friendly staff, plenty to choose for breakfast, parking

Review 63:Nice place, quiet, big rooms

Review 64:Staff is not bad but quite insuficient to the num ber of clients and area of the hotel. Restaurant service is not at the 4 stars livel

Review 65:Price, spacious room and muscatel at the reception

Review 66:Bad WIFI

Review 67:Very clean

Review 68:Dinner in the terrace, the surrounding area and specially the swimingpool

Review 69:Mosquitoes and flies

Review 73:not much

Review 74:this hotel was a absolute pleasure , value for money, lots of open space. beautiful garden and pool area

Review 75:set up of the room and small equipment inside the bathroom. Breakfast was a bit poor and juice really half water.

Review 76:Nice house Nice garden Nice team

Review 77:Need a car/to drive a lot as there is little in the local area

Review 78:Great staff, classy environment, lovely breakfast - good base for exploring.

Review 79:Good Parking, near by nice Beaches.possibilty Hitchhiking

Review 80:Somente o acondicionado estava um pouco quente de mais e não consegui regular para temperatura mais adequada.

Review 82:Nothing. Everything was very nice. The business computer is a bit outdated, but nothing to worry!

Review 83:Breakfast

Review 84:No bad experience at all

Review 85:Staf is extremely polite and helpfull.

Review 86:Friendlyness staff and good dinner Quiet rooms.

Review 87:dusty room, noise at night, unpleasant smell on the corridor

Review 88:Close to golf, v good restaurants. Quiet location

Review 89:NICE STAFF...NICE HOTEL...NICE GARDEN

Review 90:dangerous cobbled gully at entrance. loud bang as it hit the underneath of my car. On inspection lots of other people had hit it too.

Review 91:spacious room

Review 92:Noisy. The door didn't keep late guests laughs outside.

Review 93:Nice old building Nice personal

Review 94:An excellent hotel set in lovely grounds

Review 95:the breakfast was poor.

Review 96:green landscape, ancient building reflecting the great history, quiet and very friendly stuff.

Review 97:- calm - cakes (pastel) for breakfast - pool (however I didn't use, looked really good) - green area around and nice beaches close by

Review 98:No WiFi in the room, very slow connection in the hall. Almost no restaurants nearby.

Review 99:Large room, friendly staff, good breakfast, big parking area.

Review 100:Swimming pool and breakfast

Review 101:Excellent location to visit Arrabida, its Beaches and nearby Setubal and Sesimbra. Nice swimming pool and outdoor spaces.

Review 102:the location, the clean place, the environment (central place to visit other sites), the swimming pool to rest...

Review 103:The coffee at the breakfast

Review 104:The staff The room The pool

Review 105:the staff

Review 106:The garden and swimming pool is great, the locationg for visiting the area is perfect.

Review 107:nothing

Review 108:Out of the town....quiet

Review 109:No food at lunchtime.

Review 110:The hotel is close to the village where there are excellent restaurants and a supermarket. Plenty of onsight parking. Wine tasting is a walkable distance. Rooms are spacious and well furnished

Review 111:A great choice for a peaceful break, not far from the city and the sea. Clean, comfortable and spacious accomodation, adequate breakfast, friendly staff, good pool, well kept grounds. Within walking distance of Quinta da Bacalhoa, one of Portugal's "must visit" wine cellars, stocked with fine wines and fine art. Don't miss it!

Review 112:breakfast was only fair, and the hotel had a feel of only just managing.

Review 113:location was convenient for the region, the building itself was a 'period' wine farm, that had been renovated and had plenty of space and lovely grounds.

Review 114:The bath designed in such a way that water could leak to the floor when you are moving.

Review 115:NIce price. Internet free of charge. Customers oriented hotel staff. I arrived near midnight and the bar (which is generally working up to 00:00) was not closed until I finished my beer and snacks (around 01:00)

Review 116:Flexible and friendly staff. Mountain bikes could be borrowed at no cost. Excellent location for exploring the Arrabida Mountains. Very good hotel restaurant.

Review 117:No wifi in rooms. Bathroom although good could use a better shower system. Breakfast a bit disapointing.

Review 118:The room was very spacious and well decorated. The building is lovely and set in very spacious grounds. The rception staff were very friendly and nice

Review 119:Beds were quite uncomfortable and the decor in the hotel is quite dated. The carpet in the corridor was rather stained. It seems the hotel could do with a bit of sprucing up!

Review 120:Good location for winery visits and the beach. Staff were polite and friendly. Breakfast was quite good with eggs and bacon. Very reasonable price for off peak.

Review 121:The Staff! Trully an authethic Portuguese Experience, Always ready to Help and to serve us! The Hotel is in really Good Shape. Nothing disapointed me! We will be back!

Review 122:- The room was nice but smelt a bit.- Wifi only availbale in the breakfast room and slow. - Far away from everything...

Review 123:Very calm. Gentle staff. If you look for a nice country club atmospherewith great park, than this is your choice. Off-seaon - and we werealmost alone there. We had a very good rate, but I`d never pay theofficial one (4x higher).
