Reviews for Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort
Review 1:Wifi is limited to lobby and with charge, AC sometimes makes smell, gym is also for a charge
Review 2:All staff are friendly and will do whatever it takes to assist you. Spa is amazing and professional. Nice beach, pool and rooms are excellent. Buffet is very good. Ayurveda pharmacy is very nice with reasonable prices. Room facilities are excellent.
Review 3:Wifi is limited to lobby and with charge, AC sometimes makes smell, gym is also for a charge.
Review 4:I have to say that I was a single travelling girl and just turned 26. The stuff was super amazing and as friendly as one can be, also the food was amazing. But travelling through Sri Lanka I have to say that the prizes are - even for a super luxus resort - completely ridiculous. I doubt that the stuff is seeing any of the money I left there, but that it all goes back to the big Investor of this resort. I couldn't really connect my experience there with the traditional culture of Sri Lanka I experienced elsewhere. I would recommend this resort to people who put emphasis on full service and more the resort lifestyle than the traditional ayurveda culture. Money plays a too important role there.
Review 5:The Ayurvedic treatments are excellent , the staff make you feel so comfortable and relaxed . Its a very safe and calm environment which is ideal for allowing yourself to open up to the treatments available .
Review 6:The only negative was the extremely poor road to get to the hotel from the main road.
Review 7:The whole complex was beautiful and well-maintained. After a very long drive from the airport (we didn't have a map and got lost!) it was such fantastic place to arrive at. Two nights of peace, tranquility and luxury.
Review 8:No fans in the Ayurvedic rooms so sometimes it was so hot. Had one therapist who kept sighing and saying how hot it was! Luckily she wasn't my main therapist. Also no water provided except two small bottles on the first day and of course water given at mealtimes.
Review 9:The friendliness of the staff. One receptionist ( Prasaad) particularly made a good impression as he was so friendly and we had such a laugh with him. But everyone very very friendly. Food was great too.
Review 10:Service price is v high Old poor furniture
Review 11:Staff v very good location very nice but the owner should spend mony to renew the poor old furniture The staff is helpful and friendly doing thier best to make you happy
Review 12:The staff never broke a smile and were rude on more than one occasion. A disappointing last night after a fab 16 days travelling around the country. I would not go back nor would I recommend this hotel
Review 13:The pool was great. The food very nice although the restaurant manager tried his hardest to get us to have the expensive buffet when all we wanted was a sandwich.
Review 14:Food could be better as sri lanka cuisine is much more tasty vs hotel offer
Review 15:Staff in restaurant , pool and reception Clean rooms Spacy pool Close to kalutara
Review 16:Nothing really!
Review 17:Quiet and relaxing. Good combination of international and local food. Very friendly staff. Excellent large rooms surrounded by large trees on the beach! Very Good.
Review 18:Wi Fi dreadful but of course it is a Spa
Review 19:Knowledgeable and friendly staff front and back of hotel. I did not plan to go to a spa hotel wbut glad I did
Review 20:Massage breakfast comfortable room staff efficiency
Review 21:denar bad area small manger bad man how the rest
Review 22:The food.
Review 23:food not good grounds needed better up keep too quiet for a group twin beds instead of double
Review 24:comfortable rooms good massage spa
Review 25:Everyone Great. For a travelling guy I was very happy. Perfect harmony
Review 26:Ayuvedic clinic is not upto expectations. Staff seemed clueless about my appointment and it's not air conditioned so very humid and showers were not clean.
Review 27:Lovely rooms, food was very good and healthy and staff were always very helpful.
Review 28:Reception super rude and aggressive. No customer service orientated. Poor knowledge of facility and services. Horrible attitude towards hotel guests and outside visitors! Male doctor of spa unprofessional. Will never be back again. Read trip advisor reviews. Shame, such a nice location and food.
Review 29:F&b staff good Chefs excellent Food yummy Spa therapist excellent Pool attendant fantastic
Review 30:It was too expensive, the food was not impressive and you had to pay extra fees for stupid things like wifi and the good chairs by the pool.
Review 31:Pool, views from room and the room was fine. The staff was very nice
Review 32:The rooms were very old: the toilet was dirty, the bathroom had mold, old/dirty/dark rooms, breakfast was poor, the food was already cold, the wellness was dirty, this hotel has no ZEN-feeling!!!
Review 33:Location
Review 34:very green territory - garden, shadow, monkeys, perfect beach with natural shadow and no fence as other hotels have(they have ugky old fence between beach side and hotel),ayurveda calm atmosphere with lots of fresh mixed healthy juces, bungalow is perfect!luxary!beach is ampty!some local people only make it more colourful (rare),staff is slowly but friendly, food is good - a la carte menu is enaugh good, good breakfast, value of money compare with other 4-5 stars hotels
Review 35:Focus is very much on health, this is not clear from the description. I personally thought this was a spa resort, not a place were 'older' people come for alternative health services.
Review 36:Lovely staff, very friendly. Nice beach area.
Review 37:Railway passing beside the hotel but it did not make much problem to us.
Review 38:When you are in this hotel, you are in a fantastic botanical garden and very close to the beach. All facilities are close to each other and the food is also OK.The rooms are big and our had a big balcony with a view.
Review 39:Very expensive for what it was - treatments way overpriced! Extra charge for wifi which was only available in the lobby.
Review 40:Majority of the staff were very helpful.
Review 41:Listed as a health centre with a gym. The gym had 4 pieces of equipment. No weights. Food was only buffet...which was usually cold by the time we ate. No restaurants near the hotel. The lady who helped you with tours wasn't overly friendly. When we returned from our day trip she never bothered to ask how it was. We booked for tea plantation and we never ended up going. The driver brought us to see many other things. When we asked about the tea plantation he said we wouldn't be able to make as it was far and that we would do it the following day on our way to Adams peak. The following day we never made it either.
Review 42:Nice beach.
Review 43:It's very nice hotel! I like staff, and beautiful view from my room)) food it's auyverda, so have many new experience with taste)) was trying auyverda massage)) good experience! I will recommend to stay in this hotel!
Review 44:Some of the staffs asked me to go out with them. It's not appropriate to do that. I travelled alone, so they freaked me out.
Review 45:It was a good choice to stay at the hotel. I could totally relax at the beach. The food was great, and the staffs were really friendly. I recommend everyone to have some fresh fruits juice there!
Review 46:Lacked atmosphere felt like the staff where nor really interested in the guest but where obliged to fulfill their function. it felt to me like a management problem They also ran out of food at dinner and breakfast. We were scraping the bottom for leftovers
Review 47:The rooms where fine the staff where ok. Initially we planned to stay for a week but decided to move on after one day
Review 48:staff always keeping taps on you whatever you're doing service at dining/breakfast should be improved lack of explanation of ayurvedha treatment dull dining/breakfast room unflexible handling of pool access
Review 49:room 516 location at wadduwa farewell gift
Review 50:Charge on wifi. Wronge phone . number. Very dark. No qiblah dirction. Why bible is in each room. Why not quran. k
Review 51:The hotel is away from city and no clear map dirction. Their phone number at booking l.com is wronge. They charge on wifi while the customer has no option except them....The staff is polite and neat.r
Review 52:Daily treatment packages are way too expensive for the level ofstandards you get. 10 minutes with a so-called doctor (who didn'tunderstand why I had freckles on my face and asked if it hurt), 45minsof extra-oily massage, 15mins of facial and a herbal or steam bath - atotal of 2h-2h30 for 120usd. There is no activity/entertainment inor around the hotel. So when you go there, you stay there, rest, nap andrest some more. Make sure to bring some books with you.
Review 53:The food was excellent in both of the restaurants (Ayurvedha andinternational). The staff is also very friendly.
Review 54:Need a regular pest control
Review 55:Location was great, staff was friendly and food was ok
Review 56:Staffs are not professional , Ayurveda treatments overpriced & hotel is very dirty.
